| First three songs are all catchy midwest rockers. Henry Lee Summer is like a more AOR Georgia Satellites or a more southern-fried version of Bryan Adams. "I Wish I Had a Girl" is a song many guys can relate to. Which is this guy's biggest strength: writing songs for the everyman. If you like this guy, check out John Cafferty, Jimmy Davis & Junction, Donnie Miller, Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers, Steve Stone, Jimmy Barnes, John Eddie, Danny Wilde, etc.

| Henry Lee Summer really should have been a much bigger star than he was. His performances are fantastic. This album is great, but the second was better.

| No son los discos que mas me llamen la atención estos en plan Rock-AOR, mucho menos cuando incorporan estilos populares dentro de la musica yankee (mid western, southern, country...)pero bueno se puede soportar, ahora cuando empiezan dale que te pego al cochino organillo ese antiguo es cuando realmente me repatean los cojones, por suerte no todo el disco va en ese plan, hay temas muy AOR que aunque no sean de los de corte mas elegante no dejan de estar del todo mal, en fin pues eso: NO ESTA MAL.

| I love this album. I can't disagree with any of the above comments (except the Spanish one, which I don't understand and frankly could be very rude for all I know, and Japangea who may be over egging it a bit). Best tracks for me are 'I Wish I Had A Girl' and 'I Know How You Feel' although there isn't a bad track on here. 8/10.

Good AOR/Rock(Southern/Country/Western) album, best tracks for me  Still Bein' Seventeen(THE SONG) & I Know How You Feel(best tracks by far with the perfect style, AOR of course), Hands On The Radio similar to John Cafferty, Bryan Adams, John Cougar and specially Huey Lewis style's.

| Found out about this guy by searching for John Parr Cds on ebay. I was bored so I thought I'd see what this guy sounded like. Had one listen to I Wish I Had A Girl and I was hooked. Some Seriously catchy tunes on here and is a very enjoyable listen. The only thing missing are a few harder rock anthems and more melodic guitar solos but this is still good as it borders pop music. A good find.

| Pretty good album,a mellow one...my fave tracks were "Hands On The Radio" a very catchy one,"I Know How You Feel","Still Bein' Seventeen" this one is a highlight..then we have the opening track "I Wish I Had A Girl" which is excellent,"Darlin' Danielle Don't" a very good piece of AOR,"Just Another Day" a goodie one,"Wing Tip Shoes" excellent track ala John Cougar Mellecamp,Jeff Healey Band and Huey Lewis and The News and "I Ain't Coming Home" a nice and pleasent one...as i said this is a mellow album with good songs,quite relaxing and with some rocky moments..84/100
