From: Jenni Date: January 19, 2002 at 17:32
Could this sound anymore like a Whitesnake album? Come on...Jorn Lande isn't David Coverdale and never will be. Go back to working with Vagabond ft. Ronni Le Tekro...you were better then!

From: satt Date: January 26, 2002 at 2:23
Jorn Lande is great, and this is one of the best releases in 2001.However, i prefer his performance in MILLENIUM. Hourglass is just fantastic.

MAGNIFICO DEBUT DE LA BANDA DE JORN. AUNQUE PAREZCA DAVID COVERDALE. DA GUSTO ESCUCHARLO PARA AQUELLOS QUE AÑOREMOS A LA SERPIENTE BLANCA.

My favorite album of 2002! Jorn Lande is a metal god!!!!

From: JoseM(Spain)Sev Date: September 19, 2002 at 10:50

From: vince Date: February 28, 2003 at 17:16
say what you will about this release as a whole...there is no denying that the guitar work on this album is the crem de la crem...top notch..second to none!!if you are a guitar fan, pick this one up!!A NEW GUITAR GOD HAS ARRIVED!!!

From: Warlordy Date: February 28, 2003 at 23:56
to vince: the guitar player is not new to the scene,he was in Conception and they disbanded. Burn the Sun is a 10/10,you can hear everything in it,from latin to prog and from Whitesnake to Al Di Meola

Buen disco.

drummer and member of maltese prog band colourblind.burn the sun is a great album they are top of my list together with dream theater and enchant.dont take music at face value.burn the sun has depth u just need to listen close enough

"Feed The Fire" is simply palatable in its straight simplicity and Jorn Lande's heartfelt vocal delivery, "I Bleed" and "Missing You" are touching in their emotional reach, and "Heal The Waters" features a mid-section duel between guitarist Tore Østby and keyboardist Mats Olausson that sounds as if though Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord were taking "Burn" into the new millennium!

Posted October 8th, 2003: The band is now together in New York, preparing the recording of their third album. Dates for the studio recordings are not set yet, but the intentions are to do it as soon as possible. New pics and details are available on the website www.arksite.com.

This is the album I've been longing to hear for some time now!!!!It was the opus of the year 2001 and it's become a classic ! Each guy in this super group is fantastic: Tore is a guitar hero, Randy a bass wizzard, Mats - keyboard extraordinaire, John is a god and Jorn...the best voice at the moment!

From: Farrra Date: March 29, 2004 at 19:14
Cd geniale.

From: david Date: June 9, 2004 at 0:17
progressive metal with voice ala coverdale

From: Albert Date: June 15, 2004 at 12:54
The best progressive album I've ever heard, 100/100 Everything on it rocks! Also check their first effort together, no one song to loose.

From: K Date: August 20, 2004 at 2:25
So Great !! Cool... jorn is best vocal after dio

From: Rockhead Date: October 12, 2004 at 3:02
Worth buying for the track "Missing You"-9 minutes of pure joy

From: Rob Date: March 1, 2005 at 10:31
Love this CD....especially the 1st track....was wondering who the bass player is and of course it's sick because it's Randy Coven....great prog-metal!

From: Geoff Date: March 22, 2005 at 5:19
I heard this on CDR ages ago and have been meaning to buy it for agwes as I lost that CDR somewhere, but this is really very good. Powerful, heavy and a great ear for melody too. Good solid stuff.

From: Beto Date: March 31, 2005 at 20:42

From: voorhees Date: August 8, 2005 at 13:35
Anything with Tore Ostby AND Jorn Lande is simply priceless. Both are some of the best in the business. This album kicks ass. Anything that Tore does seems to turn to gold. His work on DC Cooper's solo is a work of art as well as the later Conception albums. Heard a rumour of a Conception reuinion a while back(YES!) Jorn sounds great as always on this one. I love David Coverdale and I could care less if Jorn sounds like him. Besides Coverdale's a little "light" in comparison.

From: Lennie Date: February 10, 2006 at 8:18
Definitely one of my favs of the prog rock genre. Lande's vocal performance here is just awesome! The song writing is beautiful - just check out the marvellous 'Waking Hour' or 'Feed the Fire'. There are some straight ahead rockers too like the title 'Burn the Sun' (superb) and 'Resurrection'. The musicianship also needs a mention here as it is just top notch - Tore Ostby is a guitar genius, of that I have no doubt! 9.5/10

From: Figge Date: March 14, 2006 at 14:40
I'm not usually into progressive stuff like this....but this is such a MASTERPIECE! Both musically and song-wise. Tore Östby is pure genius and what can you say about a voice like Jorn's?! That man is a vocal chameleon. Awesome stuff!!!

From: everon Date: July 25, 2006 at 10:50

From: TrueIndio Date: April 24, 2009 at 12:48
