From: freddy de keyze Date: October 17, 2002 at 3:14

From: P@trik Date: November 4, 2002 at 6:15
Wow,sounds like Hardline, a little bit of Stage Dolls. Great vocals and songs. If you like Aor, this is highly recomended!

From: ARXONTAS Date: January 7, 2003 at 16:26
If someone of you until yesterday thought that Bad English was the best a.o.r band ever....damn....you must hear them ...When your soul need to rest this cd will lead you to worlds beyond your sacred fandasies...Absolutely No Alternative

From: Thanos Date: February 1, 2003 at 4:58
Excellent work from Roger Scott Greg. This guy is surely a magician!!! This cd has many outsatnding song such as 'Run Like A Tiger' & 'Nobody Moves A Mountain'. A must for the fans of melodic rock/AOR music!!!

From: Hrudet Date: June 30, 2003 at 20:52
This album is a must have for any Harlan Cage fan. It's passionate, moody and filled with great harmonies and plenty of big pompous AOR.

From: John Date: July 25, 2003 at 13:06
The songs are okay...but it never takes off for my tastes. A lot of good melodies mixed in with some serious zzzzzzzzzzzzz moments.

From: tomcat Date: October 8, 2003 at 5:33
i remember hearing a song from this band called 'made up my mind' and i was blown away about the quality of this tune..but on what album is it? long live aor

From: Rycheage Date: February 23, 2004 at 0:03
This is Melodic Hard Rock at its best, if you are a FORTUNE / HARLAN CAGE fan you'll enjoy this band as well! As you can tell by the cast of musicians listed, this band definitely ROCKS!

From: Rocker76 Date: March 11, 2004 at 17:46
Everyone who has posted reviews has pretty much summed it up. This is awesome AOR thru & thru - good keyboards, good vocals, big fat choruses, etc. Fans of Journey, Foreigner, Asia, or Survivor should approve.

From: rocketron Date: March 17, 2004 at 11:08
I think this is even better than the follow-up.Absolutely BRILLIANT !!

From: Melodiker Date: May 15, 2004 at 13:41
Brilliant CD !!! Brilliant Band !!! An Masterpiece of AOR ! 9,5 \10 Check it !

From: Hard Rocker Date: June 29, 2004 at 22:31
Tomcat... the song 'Made Up My Mind' is on MTM Music Vol. 6 CD. You can dowlaod it form the net cause as you said it is an excellent song!!! It's hard to tell which album is the best between this one and 'Roll Of The Dice'. Both are excellent pieces of melodic rock music!!!! Enjoy good music dudes!!!!

From: Kip Date: August 30, 2004 at 23:54
Typically I don't buy much into music like this. I need it to rock hard and long at least half the time. But something about this band has me hooked. This CD is a little like Bon Jovi's debut. The clean AOR sounds, the high energy, and the focus given to each song's growth is wonderful. Highlights here include Boat Out On The Water, We Took The Wrong Road, Your Razor Is Sharp, and the best was saved for last with Live For The Moment. I can't wait to hear more from these guys. 8/10

From: Max Date: October 15, 2004 at 18:04
This is a fantastic album. I hadn't noticed though that the train's 'face' is an indian face. Funny I just noticed that.

From: ThomasCoastline Date: October 16, 2004 at 8:19
I just have to say what a great album this is! Classic AOR that stands the test of time very well. The song 'You're So Cold' is just brilliant, all the tredemarks of good songwriting are there and it reeks of class. A must have in every self respecting AOR fans collection.

From: Sergio Date: November 19, 2004 at 23:59
I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU BABY.

From: Chad Date: December 25, 2004 at 23:30
This is a very good album. Lots of soaring vocals and superb musicianship. Not sure that I can describe this music, but I know what I like and I like this album. Check it out for yourself. AOR at its finest.

From: Erik Date: February 7, 2005 at 3:37
Freeway Ride is an absolute masterpiece of a song. One of my all time favorites.

From: jos1 Date: February 25, 2005 at 14:23
The master of AOR is Roger!! All its productions are over the top!! Fortune - Harlan Cage & 101 South are the AOR cd's every AOR fan must have. Unfortunatly too many free downloading mp3 are killing the music & he won't produce others musics. So bad! 101 South & Roll of the dice are KILLING CD'S! Mega thanks for the dreams you bring to us.

From: AOR freaky Date: February 26, 2005 at 4:17
I really couldn't have said it better, jos1 ! PHENOMENAL talent, our mr.Roger Scott Craig ! Please come back, Roger ! The AOR/pomp world and fans need you ! And indeed, people : STOP DOWNLOADING ! It's KILLING MUSIC ! Within a few years not one single artist or band will have the courage to spend time and money on music, cause it's for free ! They deserve to be paid for their hard work and creativity ! Support the acts and bands and artists you like, BY BUYING their stuff !!!!!!!!

From: LUST Date: March 23, 2005 at 12:03
Okay CD - the music is phenomenal, lyrics lack a little in my opinion. Sounds a bit like Bad English/Survivor.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 30, 2005 at 20:06
Good AOR release, para el 2000 sin duda un buen album, Freeway Ride, Run Like a Tiger quiza muchos momentos lentos pero despues de todo esta bueno el album, mucha melodia.

From: Geoff Date: September 7, 2005 at 22:16
Okay, I'll say it's better than 'Roll of the dice' but I can't do much better than that. Half of the songs are nice, very safe and extremely similar to Harlan Cage (the rest just suck, IMO). Not much variety in the songs and the song-writing, and it's very light, but I do admit I really like 'We took the wrong road.' Great song. 'Boat on the water', 'You're so cold' and 'She walks on water' are nice too. Just too polite for my likings. Decent album.

From: AOR freaky Date: September 8, 2005 at 5:16
Fantastic AOR from start to finish ! TOP AOR, just like the mighty Harlan Cage and the all-time classic Fortune ! RECOMMENDED !

From: Erik Date: September 9, 2005 at 8:50
Like i wrote before. Freeway ride is a GEM of a song. But the rest, to me anyway, is kinda forgettable. It didnot sick so that says enuf for me. 7/10

From: AOR freaky Date: September 9, 2005 at 10:12
Erik, are you serious if you prefer Prayer to this classy act ? ? ? ! Can't believe that ! And you don't like Cobra neither. Strange ! Really strange !

From: TIM (2) Date: September 9, 2005 at 10:21
Not much between this & "Roll of the Dice" for me, with neither being particularly great examples of the genre. Just as with Harlan Cage, this is all very samey. The first half is good & contains all the better tracks, but playing this thing from start to finish is a little painful. Decent AOR, no more no less. 6/10.

From: Kip Date: September 15, 2005 at 14:47
When I first heard this one I wasn't too impressed but this may be the biggest grower I've come across. I like it more with each new spin. The songwriting is consistant and fresh. They don't rock hard enough for some, but I'll say they sure have moments, particularly in 'We Took The Wrong Road' and 'Live For The Moment'. The vocals, keyboards and lyrics are this albums strong points and I prefer this to Roll of the Dice. Highlights here are tracks 12, 3, 6, 4, 8 and 1 in that order. 8.2/10

From: z4roxx Date: October 11, 2005 at 11:41
This is very different than the second one,it’s in the same vein as Fortune(Harlan Cage)and IMO not good than the second but pretty fine anyway.

From: Muddley Date: November 26, 2006 at 17:36
Its a 8/10 Nothing more. Its good but a bit boring.

From: Clayton77 Date: January 3, 2007 at 18:44
I don`t agree with you, Muddley. This is a real masterpiece in AOR-Music and 10/10 is just too less for it!! HIGLY RECOMMENDED AND ONE OF THE ALLTIME TOP 20!!!

From: Melodic Man Date: July 27, 2007 at 6:46
Super Band ! Super Musik ! So muss AOR klingen ! 95\100

From: mannas Date: November 9, 2007 at 22:29

From: barker Date: November 5, 2008 at 18:00
Both 101 South albums are essential additions to any real AOR collection.Anyone who likes Harlan Cage and Fortune will love this. A great shame they only made the 2 albums. Timeless classics !

From: metalheadrocks Date: November 7, 2009 at 5:42
there new cd no u turn is fabulouse if you think these to are great then listen to the new one i cant say enough about this band every cd they put out is super it hits the sole

From: Delbert Date: January 7, 2010 at 13:29
This is classy AOR sounding melodic rock like HARLAN CAGE crossed with GIUFFRIA. Loaded with catchy melodies, nice hooks and some very good songs. I love the bombastic sound that is like a harder JOURNEY at times....One of my personal favorites.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 6, 2011 at 23:23
Very nice rather than a good debut release by 101 South...with former Fortune keyboard player Roger Scott Graig in it ...obviously nice means good somehow but i dunno...the song that really blew my mind was the last cut "Live For The Moment" and for the rest only "nice or pleasant ones" not any other "mind blowing" song in my book(sorry guys but tastes differ)...the other "nice" higlights for me are the rocking starter "Freeway Ride","Run Like A Tiger"(smoothie AOR),"We Took The Wrong Road"(great mid tempo),"Nowhere To Run"(catchy),"Casualty Of Love","Nobody Moves A Mountain" & "There's A Train Coming"...probably i need to give it some more spins like Kip did and said in his comment way back in September 15,2005 or like Geoff said in September 7,2005 except for saying than this one is better than teir follow up(in my case the appreciation is different, their "Roll Of The Dice" is great comparing to this)....still it gets a good rate o' mine though...86/100

From: 707STAR Date: November 17, 2011 at 15:23
WHAT A GREAT CD. THIS BAND IS TRULY UNDER RATED. CATCHY MELODIES AND AT TIMES THEY JAM. LIKE HARLAN CAGE. THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE IT ON THE AIR WAVES. CLASSIC MELODIC ROCK. I OWN THIS.

From: Dramarama Date: April 15, 2024 at 22:52
I thought this cd was pleasant enough. Nice, melodic and easy to listen to even if it didn't grab me by the balls.
