| Yep, Jason. I have it and its great . Most of their releases are. I often listen to their version of Highway Star really loud, and have a beer or 10. Its an awesome band. They just reformed and are about to release some new music.

| didn't they do a song called homesick? I remember this song kicking much ass.been looking for it for years.saw them in charlotte,around '78 '80 probably warming up for Molly Hatchet. they jammed!

| There was a band from Pennsylvania called POINT BLANK who had a killer album out called "If You See Kay," which was never released on CD. If you can find that one, it's worth seeking out. Copies are getting exceptionally hard to find these days. They had a second album that was never released & I don't believe it was properly mixed. I have it and there's maybe 10 that are floating around out there. (creeper@sunlink.net)

| The band that scored an early '80's hit with "Homesick" was Atlanta Rhythm Section. Point Blank was the stuff musicians & fans dreamed about. For as good as their lp's were, those recordings didn't hold a candle to seeing them live. They brandished the same bombastic sound one expected to hear from bands like Blackfoot & The Outlaws. Not enough Point Blank on cd. Maybe their reformation will prompt promo people to work harder. As consumers, we deserve that much.

| Fat keyboards and lush melodic rock overtones throughout, not unlike Doc Holliday. Bobby Keith sounds like Steve Perry gave him lessons. Excellent melodic album. There is some Head East soundalikes in the tunes as well as Harlequin. Worthy of any CD collection to have this in it.

| New reissue is now out as of 5-1-2004 with 2 on 1, but it appears the great song Love On Fire was ommitted to make the tracks all fit. I hope this isn't the case. American Excess & On A Roll 2 on 1 available in USA by Renaissance Records. I like Wild Bill Randolph, but, Phillip Petty will always be my favorite bass player of any band!

| I saw them play the I Gotcha Club in Fort Worth Texas. I believe the year was 1978. John O'Daniel was the singer. They opened up with "That's The Law" from their first album. The screaming guitars on the first song pushed everyone back for a ride! It was a great time. I also saw them a year or two later at North Texas State. Anyone else remember these concerts?

| This is the best album by Point Blank. Lots of keys and definately more 80's AOR sounding than their earlier stuff. As for the release differences, the Japanese pressing is the ONLY WAY TO GO!! No missing songs! And about Renaissance Records...when they first started out in the 90's the label was great. Good re-issues and quality remastering. Since then, the company has relocated to AZ and the releases suck mega! Cheap artwork and cheap CD-R style discs, BLAH! F*ck the re-issue and the label!

| Now We're talking. This is a 100% mega album. Of all their albums, this is the one to get (although 'American Excess' & 'Airplay' have some great moments aswell). All the tracks on this are absolute AOR monsters (yes ALL of them), so i won't pick out individual tracks. Definately try getting the Jap version (although you will have to pay the big bucks). The 2on1 version which i also have does feature 'Love On Fire',which someone above said was missing!!Absolutely essential all the way.

| If you like the old school MR/Southern side of the band then you will prefer 'Airplay', If you like the more AOR side of things ,I guarantee 100% you will definately prefer 'On A Roll'.'Airplay' had one stand out track, that being the fabulous 'Penthouse Pauper' - the rest was a little patchy in places. This is a different beast altogether. Perfection (If there is such a thing)

| Good AOR album, por ratos suenan a los Harlequin por otros a los 38 Special ya que este album tiene desde temas AOR hasta Southern Rock cruzado con AOR, en conjunto no es la gran cosa pero esta Ok 7/10.

| I just rediscovered this album, having bought it back in October '82. Great solid, melodic album that's consistent throughout and has subtle southern tones in the style and production, but is essentially a great AOR album. I love 'Let her go', which is no-nonsense pop-AOR with a nice, simple riff, tight arrangement and catchy melodies. All in all, an uplifting sounding album that doesn't disappoint at all.

These guys were somewhere between 38 Special and The Outlaws probably as their music has some kind of southern feel and like some southern bands did they added AOR ingredients here and there to their sound...this album is really pleasant or at least in my case i've always enjoyed bands such as this one and the aforemetioned ones(38 Special & The Outlaws)...anyway "On A Roll" opens the album very good,"I Just Want To Know" is a nice piece of AOR with rocking elements,"Great White Line" is a highlight,"Let Her Go" is far the best IMO,AOR!!!  ,"Gone Hollywood" is another highlight with AOR too & "Take Me Up" ends the business rocking it out!!!....a good choice if you pick this up  .88/100
