This album is fucking excellent, it sounds very late 80's and it's good to hear this style of music being released these days. Top notch performance!!

From: M. Allen Date: July 27, 2002 at 13:39
One of the better offerings from Escape Records, this band hearkens back to the melodic hard rock sound of the late 80s, with sharp guitars, catchy hooks, memorable choruses, and lots of backing vocals. Not the most original or outstanding album of 2001, but worth picking up if you're a fan of this musical genre. The CD may not whisk you off to paradise, but there's a good chance it will light a fire in your stereo.

GREAT ALBUM!

I agree that this is indeed a very good AOR CD (once again on Escape, a very underrated label !). Hope that a lot of AOR fans all over the world gonna buy this one. They will not be disappointed !

Great album, especially if your into Canadian Melodic rock from the late 80's i.e Loverboy, which this is very similar to , Probably because Doug Johnson (Loverboy Keyboardist) is the main man involved here, along with George Criston from Kick Axe. As far as i know this was recorded a while back and is another one of those releases getting a release way after it was recorded (Network, Vital Signs, Under Fire) . At least the excellent Escape label has issued it as it is a first class release.

the first song that got stuck in my head is the song' all work and no play, going on a rockaday...' i knew this wasn't 2001 sounding...more mid nineties or something..and although there are much better songs on this album (love surgery;love is..etc etc)once you hear 'rockaday' the chorus won't leave your head anymore..an excellent release.. we want more from where this album came from... batcave777@hotmail.com

yep have to agree. very nice album indeed. great AOR. if you need some songs email me at erikhardam@hetnet.nl

This is hard hitting melodic AOR very close to Loverboy territory. Strong production and lots of flag waving anthems, this one's a winner. The result is a powerful blend of AOR with hard rock sensibilities, which can best be described as Hard AOR.

I love the opening track-a melodic monster with a great chorus.

From: K.K. Poland Date: May 1, 2004 at 2:48
yeah, I agree with Rockhead, opening track kick-ass! great chorus, but.... what about this amazing guitar??? great!

From: oliver Date: October 14, 2004 at 16:45

From: z4roxx Date: November 7, 2006 at 12:45
Great release. If you like Loverboy this one is better than their all best material.9.5/10.

From: Nick C Date: June 10, 2007 at 4:38
I found this one the other day and totally forgot I had it......This however should not be an indication of the music found within which is pretty fantastic. It's a great pity they only managed one album as what you get is class melodic/hard rock and is full of hooks straight from the off with opener Paradise. For some reason when I was playing it the other day Wall of Silence came up as a bit of a reference point sound wise...maybe it was fanciful thinking on my part...but either way grab this.

Love Surgery ! Killer song from a great album. Late 80's sounding but always refreshing. Such a shame they only released the one album. Higly recommanded 89/100.

From: erik Date: April 20, 2009 at 14:24
Surprised about the few comments on this overlooked melodic rock gem. Smoking cd.Huge keyboords and amazing use of the guitar. Top notch production. Very crisp and clear. Sound of their own. Like Oliver wrote already. Truly all killers, no fillers. 90/100

From: CMGio Date: June 22, 2011 at 13:40

AOR???...not really...this is straight Melodic Rock and very effective btw...best shots for me are "Paradise","Love Is","Touch"(nice ballad),"Love Surgery","Rock A Day","City Of Sin"( ) & "Light The Fire"...recommended...88/100

From: hair metal again Date: May 25, 2018 at 8:24
excellent commercial hard rock music that was recorded back in the day ,but it was released many years later!big choruses, many hooks, massive backing vocals and big guitars like we love it is offered here and to be honest didnt expect it to be that rockin.'you have the touch",'going down to sin city",love surgery " are the highlights of this great indie from the Canadian scene
