If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Deep Purple CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Deep Purple are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

One of the best live albums ever. This one defines the word "Classic." The version of "Smoke On The Water" here is the best. This one is awesome, to say the least.

This album is Mk. 2 at their absolute finest. Such power, such skill!! This is the best place to start for all Deep Purple novices.

THIS ROCKS! That's all there is to say.

One of the best live records of all time,by one of heavy rock's all-time great bands.Stunning musicianship from all concerned (Blackmore's solos on Highway Star and Child in Time alone justify his being rated as one of rock's best axemen),a great sound, and most importantly superb songs. The only downside is the 20-minute version of Space Truckin. This album would be perfect if the band performed a 'normal' version of that great track instead of meandering for 20 minutes. But still this is superb.

The 'Mother* of all Live albums. ..............And it was made in 1972. No band will make a live album, which will have the same influence to other bands like this one..............And in June Deep Purple will ply here along with Lynyrd Skynyrd. It will be Jack D. Day here.

El disco en directo k revolucionó toda la música. Es el directo mas redondo k se ha hecho, ningún tema tiene desperdicio.

If any of you guys ever get the chance to buy an album/cd called Live In Denmark '72. Get it. Its a radio recording. Its phenomenal. Its amazing that a band beeing having existed for only a few years, could make music like this. Damn they have been copied. The cd Im mentioning has a 23:48 mins version of Space Truckin´on it. Uhh those guys rocked.

From: Rycheage Date: December 4, 2003 at 0:21

This is the best hard rock live album ever. Sure, some of tracks carry on for a long amount of time, but there is never a dull moment on here, except for "Mule". Still and easy 10/10

From: Propane Date: November 30, 2004 at 10:08
Say no more. Absolutely THE ground breaking album at the time of release. Show me one modern pop musician who can try to keep up with these guys (never).

From: ShadowAngel Date: March 2, 2013 at 18:13
Probably the best live album in rock music as it actually really is live and not a studio fakery or with tons of overdubs like so many other celebrated "live" albums (Unleashed in the East, Alive, to name a couple) It really show the creativity of Deep Purple and especially the awesome chemistry between Lord and Blackmore. Great songs that are vastly improved by awesome james, improvisations and longer solos. Just perfect all around.
