A combo of Y&T, Autograph, and Night Ranger.

From: TIM Date: November 5, 2002 at 23:52
There are some great tunes on this one but I think they overused the 'Summertime Girls' approach too often. I'm not implying that it's a ripoff, just a bit too lite in places.

From: TIM Date: November 6, 2002 at 9:17
Track 9 'One Thing' reminds me a bit of Shotgun Messiah. I listened to this disc again today and have a much more favorable opinion of it. It's very good, but I still prefer Emergency. You won't go wrong either way though. If you prefer the bands I mentioned above to the ones on Emergency then get this.

From: TIM Date: November 7, 2002 at 11:38
This is basically a supercharged Night Ranger. It recently went for $85 for a near mint copy.

From: TIM Date: November 9, 2002 at 12:31
I think track 3 has to be my favorite. It reminds me of Chicago's 'If She Would Have Been Faithful' and Night Ranger's 'Sister Christian.' Great power ballad that should have made it.

From: nitrodoll Date: November 17, 2002 at 18:12
got this one and i love this obscure release..isn't the singer of Jillson the singer of britney fox nowadays? anyhow , 8 on a scale of 10.. good time rock n roll...

From: James Date: November 17, 2002 at 18:55
no, the singer for Britny Fox is Tommy Paris, the perfect guy to take over for Dizzy Dean.

From: TIM Date: November 18, 2002 at 10:20
Hey nitrodoll, didn't you tell me he changed his name? I was thining it was the Tuff Luck singer you said that about.

From: TIM Date: November 18, 2002 at 11:32
I meant thinking. Guess I didn't do such a great job there.

From: METAL 4 EVER Date: November 19, 2002 at 22:01
Hey nitrodoll. I do believe that Tommy Paris, and Don Jillson are the same person. If you check out the thanks on the Britny Fox Bite Down Hard CD the first person Tommy thanks is Jamie Warren Borden who is the drummer for Jillson. And Tommy and Jillson both thank Lou Carto JR. and SR. Coincidence, I think not. And they sound exactly the same, in either case both CDs totally ROCK! Jillson Deadly Girl is a CD one should not be without, unfortunately it is extremely rare. Keep looking, its worth i

From: METAL 4 EVER Date: November 19, 2002 at 22:05
Sorry I went a few letters over. I was just saying that Jillson Deadly Girl is one of the best albums I've ever heard. And check with PJ from kissmydisc.com I know he has had this gem a few times. Jillson ROCKS! Metal 4 Life

From: nitrodoll Date: November 20, 2002 at 6:19
i have the jillson disc for a long while now and it's a very ,very good disc...all songs are well written and arranged. I'm glad i have it.. 'On my own' is maybe my favorite song if i have to pick one.. METAL 4 EVER, have a nice day.... c ya nitroooooooooooooooooooooodoll

From: alleyrulez Date: November 25, 2002 at 14:34
I thought that was Tommy Paris, the name threw me off. great stuff.

From: anamal Date: April 20, 2003 at 15:08
Tommy Paris and Don Jillson are 1 in the same

From: James Date: May 1, 2003 at 22:19
can anyone give proof that Don Jillson and Tommy Paris are the same person. On the Britny Fox site they have a section and tell what all projects all the members of BF have been in and nowhere do they memtion than Tommy Paris went by a different name. go to britnyfox.com and then the FAQ section. Just wondering.

From: Kevin Date: May 19, 2003 at 14:11
Hey, can anyone email me some tracks from this ? I'd like to hear it but have no desire to spend 100 bones + on it. Thanks! kchild@wtp.net

From: Corwin Date: September 18, 2003 at 14:21
Well, I just heard it on MP3, and I have to say - this CD really really . . . . . ROCKS !!!! It's one of the best indies I've ever heard !! If anyone has it for sale for a reasonable price, you're welcome to email: bess@012.net.il

From: Julian Date: November 1, 2003 at 11:42
I recently spoke to Johnny Dee while he was on tour with Doro Pesch in Australia, and I asked him if Don Jilson was Tommy Paris, he Said 'YES', he was kinda freaked out at the question, probably because no one has asked him about anything like that in a while. But either way I'd say that if a guy from Britny Fox says that Tommy Paris and Don Jilson are the same person, that should be good enough for anybody.

From: JarWi Date: December 11, 2003 at 23:01
Who the hell cares about Don Jillson or Tommy Paris, it's the COVER that should be spoken of! I'd like to know who this lady is (and her phone number), and not some Don-guy, dammit!

From: JarWi Date: December 12, 2003 at 10:08
I just downloaded this record and as I mentioned: the music is by far not as good as the cover, though listenable. Btw I think Britny Fox without Dizzy Dean lost at least a half of their value as T. Paris does not hold a candle to Triple D.

From: J. Borden Date: March 16, 2004 at 23:35
I just stumbled onto this site and was tripped out that this album is still getting a second listen, although its cool and I thought it was great at the time, and yes Tommy is Don. peace

From: anamal Date: July 5, 2004 at 20:19
this cd ranks among the top indies out there..it has everything an indie should have ..excellent songwriting..excellent musicianship..and a kickass vocalist..i rank this in my top 3 along with Sgt Roxx and Hard Knox

From: Lou Date: August 9, 2004 at 11:40
I've heard ONE track form this whole album! Fantastic....what makes me like this one is the fact that tommy paris is on it. I wish i could get a hold of it but not for $150! OH well. Anyone who has this can someone tell me if there are any pics of the band in the booklet? Appreciate it. (and if someone is willing to burn me a copy that would be even more appreciated!^_^....you'd be compensated!) sailor_scout9@hotmail.com

From: anamal Date: August 9, 2004 at 12:14
Hey Tim..hope ya feeling better..and yeah the cd is still here..along with the hard knox(yeah..i am lazy and slow.(LOL)...and yes there are band pictures on the inset of the jacket.....

From: TIM Date: August 9, 2004 at 12:19
You and MButt are following your Daddy's (JLP) bad example haha.

From: Lou Date: August 10, 2004 at 11:37
Say ANAMAL......do you have a scanner? I'd love to get a look at some of those pics. There's no chance I'll ever be able to quire this album so this is the only way I'd be able to see them. I love the song Bad Side! sailor_scout@hotmail.com These guys sound great! Whoever has this cd......you should be greatful cuz some of us will never hear it!What a gem!

From: Lou Date: August 10, 2004 at 11:38
That's sailor_scout9@hotmail.com ! OOps,,,,,,keep rockin' Jillson....they're as good as Wild Boyz...Roxy blue....and on the level of Britny Fox. Get it if you can folks!

From: Dean Date: August 31, 2004 at 12:40
Well I finally heard one song from these guys 'Bad Side' and I'll admit i didn't think I'd like these guys but that tune is pretty awesome. Another high priced indy to toss on my want list-as if i didn't have enough on that list-LOL-over 6000 cds and there's still tons to get.

From: Geoff Date: August 31, 2004 at 20:30
It doesn't appear to be TOO over-rated on this site, but this has to be one of the most highly rated indies ever, elsewhere. It is nowhere near as good as the majority of hard rock releases. Although not bad, it is just standard hard rock. I don't know if it is Tommy Paris or not, but I think it is because it's the same voice. Still doesn't save a very, very average bunch of hard rock songs.

From: jessica96fish Date: September 1, 2004 at 5:55
not the best indie out there.but not totally bad.rather listen to joker or raquel.not worth the big price tag...

From: A Date: September 2, 2004 at 17:49
Anybody willing to sell their authnetic copy? NOT A CD-R!!!! I will pay $ money for it!!! Lots.....please consider ....e-mail adress is wagthetail@hotmail.com

From: Malebolgia Date: March 23, 2005 at 19:03
I finally got my hands on this CD. Let me tell you it's worth the price. The music on this album is top notch rock. Rockin' anthems like 'Make Love','Bad Side',and 'On My Own' lead this excellent CD. The ballads 'Goodbye', and 'Mean What You Say' are very melodic and full of heart. My personal favorite would have to be the catchy 'Take Me'. All and all Deadly Girl is a CD not worth missing. If you can get your hands on a copy it's an indie release worthy of your collection. My review: 9/10.

From: figgy Date: April 29, 2005 at 23:12
Not bad at all.Like a night ranger but with more balls.Harder guitar licks. The cover is awesome.Talk about the 80's.....

From: teamwealth.ws Date: April 7, 2006 at 5:39

I did want to trade this one, fortunately I've heard it again.Great Hard rock/hair metal, every track is different and good,I also like the singer here.If I sell this cd I am sure I'll never find another copy even if in the past I did have 5 original copies ahahah!9/10!

Well I just one this off ebay. I payed 250 USD, but it was in a lot along with Hot Boy, Intuition, and Wall Of Silence! Very excited to hear it. I'll give my impressions once I receive it!

From: mindbank Date: May 30, 2007 at 13:45
Jillson's first album is entitled 'Jillson'. It is only available in vinyl ep and I have 5 each, still sealed. Songs are Take it All The >Way, In Touch, Use Me and The End. I'm thinking of putting one on EBAY. Think it would sell?

From: Dr_Funk Date: September 5, 2007 at 21:16
Great album, a lot of fun to listen to. Best songs: It's Emotion, Make Love, One Thing, Mean What You Say - I've had that last song stuck in my head all day!! It took me a while to get into this album, and at first I was very dissapointed. Now: there ain't no way this is leaving my collection - I love it!!

From: DazBuFF Date: January 22, 2009 at 4:28
love this cd

From: DazBuFF Date: January 22, 2009 at 4:48
the lead singer of this cd made a solo cd under his new name 'tommy paris' the cd was called '2009', i believe. has anyone ever heard this cd? i believe it was released, but damn it sure is hard to find....

From: revengeofthefallen Date: March 5, 2009 at 14:30
This is the best INDIE band from the USA is it not one of the most sought after as everyone does know ! Another Indie band that never took off like they should have .. 1990 was getting to be the fall of glam/metal and labels were starting to go a different direction and that was not with bands that could hold a tune ! Am I Right ? Even with limited release it still remains a great CD . No band compares to them they have a sound none like anyone else . Put them up against big bands in the day and they would blow them away !J.B. is one of the all time great drummers and a great friend !

From: edwithmj Date: June 12, 2009 at 18:42
No way am I paying $200 for this so I searched for hours for mp3s of this on the web and managed to find some 320 bit rate ones! Not a bad album I must say. Has shades of Nitro in the mix but mostly sounds like a Bite Down Hard with a more of a Van Halen/Night Ranger mix. Bad Side, Goodbye and Take Me are my favourite songs. Great stuff. 88/100

From: Evildikk Date: July 3, 2009 at 10:00
Ok I can clear some stuff up. My Brother is Terry Ripley, the guy that played Lead Guitar on the Jillson CD. YES Don Jillson and Tommy Paris are 1 in the Same. This Band was a lot of fun. They only had 2 Gigs that I can Remember, Then Don/Tommy took off to join Britny Fox

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 12, 2010 at 16:50
This is a very good release,it has solid numbers like 'It's Emotion' cool songs such as 'Deadly Girl' & 'All I Can' also AOR influenced songs like 'Bad Side' & 'On My Own' of course a killer ballad 'Again' & 'Goodbye'(this one being a semi ballad with very good choruses)and so on....the songs have some kind of Skid Row flavour and the voice of Don sounds like Sebastian Bach at times...enjoyable...86/100

From: mraudis4 Date: January 12, 2011 at 13:32
I hope to put the Don Jillson/Tommy Paris discussion to rest. Check out an interview Tommy did here: http://www.sleazeroxx.com/interviews/paris.shtml great interview and confirmation he did the Jillson work.

From: MrMetal Date: October 5, 2014 at 13:00
JILLSON has an interesting biographical history, although it's unclear when exactly the act had formed. The group originated from Nevada, & are better known for multi-instrumentalist Don Jillson (aka: Tommy Paris")later replacing "Dizzy" Dean Davidson on vocals with BRITNY FOX, & recording 2 albums to date with that band ("Bite Down hard" & "Springhead Motorshark"). He remained as BRITNY FOX's vocalist until he was replaced by Jamie Fletcher in 2008 with that act splitting up shortly thereafter. JILLSON originally released a 4-track EP in 1986 featuring the tracks: "Take it All The Way", "InTouch", "Use Me", & "The End" (with only a re-recorded version of "The End" appearing as a bonus track on the Retrospect reissue of JILLSON's lone LP from 1990 titled, "Deadly Girl"). The lineup on that EP only featured 2 members: Don Jillson (v/b/g/d/k) & Scott Evans (g). It's unclear if there were any other lineups before or after that EP, but Don would put together a lineup featuring:

From: MrMetal Date: October 5, 2014 at 13:07
Terry Ripley (g), Jamie Warren Borden (d) (ex-STRANGER, ex-DIVINE JUDGEMENT, ex-J.J.T. + others), & Dale Borden (b/k). They would record the "Deadly Girl" LP in 1990 with the Retrospect reissue including 3 bonus tracks that were recorded shortly after the album (likely in 1990 as well). Don Jillson would join BRITNY FOX afterwards as well as DIVINE JUDGEMENT with Jamie Warren Borden, & would more recently tour with the Classic Rock act COUNT'S 77 that features Danny "Count" Koker on vocals from the television series "Counting Cars" (it's unclear if Don Jillson is currently with that group or not). Don would also record material once again with Jamie Warren Borden & guitarist Jimmy Crespo (ex-AEROSMITH, ex-ADAM BOMB, ex-ROUGH CUTT, ex-FLAME, Solo) with material more recently being unearthed by Retrospect Records as well. The JILLSON sound was criminally underrated Melodic Rock with AOR/HM/Glam tendencies best comparable to "Bite Down Hard"-era BRITNY FOX as well as some of the bands

From: MrMetal Date: October 5, 2014 at 13:08
...mentioned above & also acts such as REO SPEEDWAGON & CHICAGO during their lighter moments 9as indicated by Retrospect Records). Don Jillson also recorded a Solo LP under the "Tommy Paris" moniker in 2002 that was more along the lines of modernized garbage.

From: MrMetal Date: October 5, 2014 at 13:11
The material recorded with both Jamie Warren Borden & Jimmy Crespo was under the moniker "J.J.T." (Jimmy/Jamie/Tommy).
