If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Moriah CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Moriah are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I really liked this one if I remember correctly. I received many at one time so the memory is a bit clouded.

From: TheRipper Date: December 26, 2002 at 1:26
This is one I REALLY recommend. Everything you look for in a CD... Great songs, good producton, and just awesome all around. It's very consistent too, many standouts, and not a weak track on the thing. Mic Cardone has a great voice too... Awesome indie from Rochester, again very rare... They have a S/T CD from 1990 too, which is in the same vein and AWESOME as well. A 10.

Does anyone know if Moriah has a cd out titled "Speak"? I've seen it listed on some collection lists but was never able to locate one.

From: TheRipper Date: December 26, 2002 at 21:24
Ken, they never put together "Speak", I know because I thought the same thing (and had to get it if it did), as someone keeps saying it exists but I GARUNTEE it doesn't, that's a fact... It was supposed to come out in '91, but something happened and a couple of songs are on a live CD of theirs (which is awesome). I am fortunate because my cousin lived in Rochester and always kept me updated on the band, and has a friend who knew them. Get any and all Moriah stuff, great band.

Hi Ripper- Thanks for the information. I have been wanting to know that for sometime now. I actually found both their cd's while cd shopping in Rochester but could never locate "Speak", I guess I know why. Ripper, would you be interested in trading a cdr of their live cd??? Ken

Hey Ripper, What songs are on this live CD from MORIAH? I was in the band and we never released a live CD!

From: TheRipper Date: June 26, 2003 at 0:37
Hey Tom, it has a pic of the band (you) standing outside of a train station with someone wearing an old UCLA Tank Top... It's an acoustical set I got from Pete, with the following 5 tracks: 'One Track Mind', 'I Know What You Want', 'Intro', 'Lies', 'Mirror Man'...

From: septic1 Date: June 26, 2003 at 9:52
Hey all, this is a great CD. Very unique and I just found out that there is a hidden track at the end that is the coolest cut. It's raw and bluezy. It sounds like they just did it freestyle in the studio. All kinds of things are happening in the track and it's funnier than hell. you have to let the 10th track run for about a minute to hear it. I enjoyed it tremendously! i wish other bands did this.

From: septic1 Date: June 26, 2003 at 9:56
I also heard that this band is still doing a show now a then. The last show was in a club called Fat Moe's in Rochester. They rock the place. If anyone hears of any show, please let me know.

From: Tom Date: June 26, 2003 at 16:03
The last song on the CD is called The Mark Studio Blues. We recorded that at about 3:00 am. We were all short on sleep and as you can tell...very very silly. It was a lot of fun and still makes me laugh when I listen to it. We have not done any shows in the last 2 years and really don't have any plans for the future. Most of us are involved in other musical projects and busy with the family life. Thanks for listening! Tom

From: Tom Date: June 26, 2003 at 16:13
Ripper, The accoustic show was a live unplugged thing we did at Djahlon studios and broadcast on the radio in Rochester. You are missing a couple tracks from that show. We also did Angels and sinners, Dreamin about you and Sun always shines. That was a lot of fun. I know what you want and One Track mind were never put on CD or put out for anyone to hear. You have a rare CD! I think the picture is from our old practice spot in East Rochester. That would explain the Train station. Later, Tom

Thanks Tom. It's cool to talk, as there are still many Moriah fans out there, ya know? And about the CD I have, I figured not many were made but I'm glad to have it since I loved everything your band did, Great Stuff! Keep On Rockin, Brian

So many high price cds don't deliver but this one is a exception.Excellent from start to finish and worth every $.

From: SeducedByMetal Date: October 29, 2003 at 8:47
i love this cd...from start to finish every song on this album is off the highest quality....i love the track Angels & Sinners...my favourite on there...killer cd...

From: Studboy Date: February 11, 2004 at 1:13
It doesn't get much better than this one. Of all the high priced CDs this one is actually worth it.

From: MIKE S Date: February 13, 2004 at 10:56
I must correct Rippers post from Dec.'02 above: there most certainly IS a MORIAH release titled "SPEAK" - I have this on cassette! 1991 demo with 5 tracks: Holy Child,Fallen Fortress,Come The Dawn,Eyes Of Black,& Tomorrows Time. Are any of these tracks also on their s/t cd?

From: Tom Date: February 17, 2004 at 11:23
Mike, Speak was not a release by the Moriah that put out the 5 song EP and the full length title - Mirror Man. Those are the ONLY 2 releases we ever had. FYI-We are doing a reunion show on 8/21/04 at the Penny Arcade in Rochester, NY. Tom (Drummer Moriah)

From: MIKE S Date: February 17, 2004 at 11:40
Different band with the same name then...that explains the confusion! My mistake...Thanks for clearing that up Tom!

From: hair metal again Date: January 6, 2014 at 4:35
very good indie release ,a great piece of East Coast commercial hard rock music!the guitar work is excellent and the vocals really warm , i believe are the strong points of MORIAH s music!"lies","money talks","dreamin about you" are great songs and as i saw from you tube they must been great live too!highly recommended

From: andi Date: March 15, 2014 at 12:00
average Melodic Rock similar to the first Trixter Album....also similar to the first Fate albums with a touch of Firehouse!

From: Delbert Date: March 28, 2014 at 17:12
For the most part, the sound moves a bit toward the rougher sound of XYZ although that blend of NIGHT RANGER remains, especially on the ballads. This is still a great 80's sounding CD that captures the aurora of that period very nicely. The guitar work is definitely more apparent on this release and the energy really picks up on most of the tracks. I highly recommend this killer, self produced release for every collector.
