This is a standard Scorpions album with some good tracks. Once again the ballads shine, 'Gypsy Life' particularly is excellent, although this time around, there is a fair amount of filler in the middle. It's in no way as good as 'Sting In The Tail' but it's pretty good in general

Boring as hell. They should have quit after Sting In the Tail

"boring as hell"!!!!for the best hard rock band of the universe?it s a joke.the extraordinaty "sting in the tail" was preview to be the last record of their career.hopefully they change their advice and scorpions is coming back with a superb realise.this sensational cd is varied and very interesting.this album is catchy and hard(tracks 3.5.6.7.9), irresistible top class melodic rock (tracks 2 and 7).of course we have three exceptional ballads (track 4.10.12)and the ice on the cake track 1 a fabulous hard southern song .this song reminds me the last lynyrd skynyrd s records.i ve the feeling to hear ricky medlocke himself playing guitar.track 8 is a very great a o r which have a demo sound.a littla strange.track 11 is a filler a very average rock n roll song.the bonus tracks of the deluxe edition are not extraordinary except the excellent track 14.track 13 is a decent aor song .tracks 15 and 16 are two fillers.(very very average).tracks 17 one "and one is three" 18 "crazy ride" are super

I see this as an unnecessary release. Nothing on it terrible, aside from the embarrassing rockabilly-flavored "The Scratch," but nothing really stands out. THe band sounds great, as far as their playing, and Klaus's voice sounds fantastic for his age and for a guy who almost had to give up singing at one point due to vocal problems. But the songs ... man, they're just not that memorable, unless they remind you of older Scorps songs ("Rock 'n' Roll Band" made me think immediately of "Now!"). I have a lot of respect for this band and their legacy, but honestly, they sound like dinosaurs. The last Scorps album I was really stoked about was Unbreakable, eleven years ago. A fquarter-century on from their last great album, it's just tough to get excited about new Scorpions music.

Ok the Scorpions releases a huge collection of tracks that a lot of them were from the vaults, reworked demos and a couple newer tracks. If you are going to seek out this album - go all out and pick up the ultimate version with 19 tracks total...because there are many great tracks on this record. coming off the heels of 2010's "Sting in the Tail" (huge album), and the dismal covers albums "Comeblack", this certainly attempts to take fans down memory lane with the style, vibe and sonic feel of classic 80's Scorpions that dominated the airwaves and MTV. Some great tracks in this collection and does what it was set out to do...Rock with the Scorpions of yesteryear. HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: #2,3,4,5,7,9,14,15,17. MY RATING: 87/100.

superb release for the SCORPIONS and imho this is their best after Crazy World considering their age and the nowadays music environment!excellent production , fine songwriting with songs of the biggest variety and great musicianship is offered and overall didnt expect that one to be so good!"going out with a bang","we built this house",'eye of the storm","hard rockin the place" are excellent songs ,but also the rest are remarkable!essential
