An excellent return to form from Germany's finest. Mixing elements of their classic 80's era (in the guitar and chorus department)whilst keeping one eye in the now. A solid production and decent set of songs makes this a regular in my car and I have to say it brings a smile to my face. If you lile me havemissed Blackout, Love at First Sting era Scorps-this is for you.

From: Rene Date: July 6, 2004 at 17:16
After some shit albums, finaly a new classic by the band. If you are a real SCORPIONS fan and you didnt like their last albums, buy this one. WE NEED TO BRING THE BAND BACK INTO THE MEDIA. If this band gets big again, our music will get extra power in his ass and then we can watch our music back on the tv and we will win some respect back.

From: AOR freaky Date: July 8, 2004 at 5:18
A fine return to their typical classic sound. Still not top of what they are capable of, but a big step in the right direction. Good record !

From: Gsus#4 Date: July 20, 2004 at 3:01
more than 30 years on stages If these gentlemen can´t touch the perfection who can do it?? Keep us rockin´like a hurricanes!!!

From: Chad Date: July 20, 2004 at 19:28
A fine return to the big guitars and stellar songwriting. If this album does not bring everyone back (and bring in new fans) to the sting, nothing will. A very good return to form by the band. New Generation kicks off the album in fine form. I found the background chorus' most interesting on this album. They range from children (New Generation) to highly Americanized chorus singers (Borderline). A definate cross between Love at First Sting and Crazy World. Check this one out!

From: Joan Date: July 26, 2004 at 19:58

From: jack Date: July 28, 2004 at 5:55
Wow,is this album really from 2004?it sounds like it was from 1984. Scorpions is one of the few bands i know who are still using the classic formula. Tracks like deep and dark and blood too hot are two of my fave in this album. The scorpions truly are unbreakable.

From: Fizz Date: August 9, 2004 at 0:29
I just got this one last night, and while I haven't been able to give it an in-depth listen yet, I have to say I wasn't blown away by what I did listen to. Face the Heat-style heaviness with Savage Amusement's general poor hooks, is the first impression I got. The ballads were especially disappointing. I notice Klaus has that rasp in his upper register again, like on their earliest albums.

From: Dean Date: August 16, 2004 at 2:18
While i really wanted to hate this since the last several cds have been quite horrid. I must give kudos to Klaus and co. for releasing a decent disc again. Welcome back guys. 6/10

From: Dean Date: August 16, 2004 at 2:20
But no Jack I still don't think it is better than Alice's latest.

From: Edilson/Brasil Date: August 16, 2004 at 10:03

From: jeff Date: August 16, 2004 at 15:53
i like it . a cross between crazy world and pure instinct

From: thelostdj Date: August 20, 2004 at 4:24
Shocking....overdue, but finally here. A really decent album from the Scorp's...:^) 'Blood Too Hot' is TOO cool.

From: Renato Palhano Date: August 22, 2004 at 1:15
Finally!!!after 6 years of mistakes, they made something good. The opening song its amazing, and the cd goes well 'til the horrible ballad Maybe... but after this there's a lot of good stuff, a recomendable album if you skip the awful number six tune.

From: rockinmyassoff Date: August 27, 2004 at 17:22
Their best stuff in many years. This is an excellent, melodic, rockin' cd. As Rockhead said in the first comment for this cd, it is also a regular as of late in my car. Highly recommended. My fave tracks are #7 and #8.

From: Fizz Date: August 28, 2004 at 2:04
Okay! I've had this for three weeks almost, and here's what I figure. It's a 7. Certainly better than the last two, but still with a lot of filler-type songs on it. As I thought, a mix of Face The Heat and Savage Amusement. The Fizz Picks: 'Love 'Em Or Leave 'Em,' 'Can You Feel It,' 'This Time.' THe ballads are both very d isappointing. Oh yeah, a nd you COULD read my full review at www.ddays-revenge.com

From: Chad Date: August 28, 2004 at 2:15
Hey Fizz- How can you NOT mention Borderline? THE standout track on this album. It rocks as does the rest of it. Of course the Scorps are going to put some ballads on their albums. How could they not? They bought alot of houses in the 80's and early 90's with them. I would agree with the 7/10 but wish you would reconsider and bump it up to 8/10. How about it man? This is a quality release.

From: Fizz Date: August 29, 2004 at 2:23
Can't do it, Chad, although I'd like to. I'll give it this much though: it's better than the new Tesla in the respect that it actually has some instant favorites, where Tesla's latest to me is a blur of just-okay songs. As for the ballads, I know, and Scorps ballads are usually a mong the best to be had, but these are pretty subpar. Also, I think there's a fair amount of riff-recycling going on. I wanted to like both the new Scorps AND Tesla very badly, as they're both bands I grew up loving ...

From: Fizz Date: August 29, 2004 at 2:26
... but they just aren't up to it. Of course, I paid $19 for Unbreakable. Might've been less disappointing at $14.

From: Rene Date: August 29, 2004 at 15:51
Yes, FIZZ, i also paid around 19 for this album. I dont know why its so expensive. Many new releases are around 14 or 15. Very strange.

From: Chad Date: August 29, 2004 at 19:20
Fizz- Ouch! 19 bones. I got mine off ebay for 12. You are right, it may have been less disappointing without having to shell out that kind of money. Thanks for reconsidering though.

From: Geoff Date: August 29, 2004 at 21:01
I have never been the hugest fan of the Scorpions by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't mind about three of their releases. I also think this one is pretty good. Not a huge winner for me, but one of the btter albums I've heard from them and I'm quite fond of the last track. Good hard rock CD. Better than Tesla 'Into the now'? IMO that is not even a competition as I think Tesla are a whole different (and much superior) class of band to The Scorpions, and I love their new CD.

From: Paolo Date: October 15, 2004 at 18:14
better than Tesla???....is it a joke???....Tesla is probably the best band in hard rock history!!!!!....Into the now has a modern sound of 2004 keeping alive the classical Tesla sound at the same time....they couldn't have done a better record in my opinion!!!

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 16:34
They did their Scorpion homework on this one. Although not every song on this is perfect, in this day and age I'll settle for a few. Nice work on this one. Kinda back to basics.

From: Chris Date: February 3, 2005 at 11:14
It took me until last week to finally get this via eBay, and it was well worth the wait. I've been a Scorps fan since '82, and now have all official studio and live discs (even a couple of compilations and live bootlegs). Unbreakable is definitely their best album since Face The Heat. While I enjoy some ballads, the ones here haven't grown on me as their classics have, so my favorites happen to be all the other tracks. Scorpions finally have put the sting back in their music!

From: ALEJANDRO Date: February 14, 2005 at 10:16

From: ALEJANDRO Date: February 15, 2005 at 18:02

From: Big Mike Date: February 22, 2005 at 2:03
The scorps sound is back....the albums vibe is the scorpions off old. But I know the guys can write catchier songs than these. I don't think there are enough great melodies on this release which dissappoints me greatly. 6.5/10

From: Joan Date: February 27, 2005 at 16:59
Siguen siendo los más grandes

From: GlenRavine Date: February 28, 2005 at 15:08
Welcome back boys - we didn't see Eye II Eye for a couple of years but we do know. Great release.

From: Swriter Date: March 4, 2005 at 21:20
loving all the Scorps stuff except the last few releases, I was excited to find out they r back to the old. Well, for me, half of this is good, not great, and the other half, not a keeper. I am longing for another great ballad, The Scorps always have one to two great ballads on each release, but none grab me here. There are 6 great rocking Scorp tunes here. It is good to have them back and hopefully the next one will be a step up again!!!

From: Ratt72 Date: March 20, 2005 at 15:58
The good times are back!thanx god!this old folks still remember how to forge good songs...Welcome back Scorps

From: ted Date: April 6, 2005 at 8:22
track 7 is very good. When you feel upset, depressed, when you face difficulty, then you listen to this great song, and it will give you energy , makes you active.

From: Joan Date: May 1, 2005 at 4:59

From: Sven Pelz Date: May 6, 2005 at 11:50
The new album is great. The songs are great and this is the best cd from Germans finest over 10 years. I love that band.

From: TomStavely Date: October 6, 2005 at 4:41
Awesome a must for all Scorpion fans and for all hard rock fans this is blisteringly brilliant pure hard heavy melodic rock. EXCELLENT 9/10 Buy it now

From: firetruckdriver Date: November 3, 2006 at 10:41
The Scorpions are hard rock legends! And this album is fabulous. They are back to their old, classic Scorpions style on this one. We need more of this! EXCELLENT!!!

From: Darkstorm Date: March 3, 2007 at 23:44
A great return to from here, although I was one of the few who liked Eye II Eye it's still great to hear the scorps do a more traditional sounding album. My favorites are the awesome opener New Genaration, Deep And Dark, the slow and heavy Borderline, the anthematic Some Day Is Now, and the beautiful Maybe I Maybe You, once again there are some clunkers like the annoying Blood Too Hot and the awful closer Remember The Good Times

From: BDrums1971 Date: December 8, 2009 at 2:16
It really amazes me that Klaus sounds just as good here as he did 20-30 years ago. Most rock singers really kind of lose it as they age, but not Klaus. What a good singer!!!

From: metalmaniac777 Date: October 12, 2011 at 11:07
After a couple of poor--and poorly-received--albums, the Scorpions finally returned to their traditional hard rock sound and delivered what fans wanted to hear. This was a good album--not perfect, but plenty good enough to satisfy--and the Scorpions should remember that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 25, 2012 at 19:38
Loved it!!!...pretty catchy songs and good melodies is what The Scorps delivered in here...a very american sound IMO...my faves of this whole album is "This Time" but another great shots are tracks 2,4,5,7,8(AORish) & 10...recommended...90/100

From: Lights Out Date: January 8, 2013 at 22:07
Unbreakable was Scorpions' attempt to recapture their sound that had gotten away from them with their previous handful of releases. For the most part they accomplished what they set out to do with a more upbeat, hard-rocking, rowdy vibe to their music, although there is also a more modern application to their sound going on there, which is understandable. Most of the rockers are personable, uplifting, and happy sounding, making this sort of a fun album. A couple of filler tracks are here such as "Borderline" and the ballads present are not anything too special for this release; Jabs' solos are also scaled back and too reserved; I know that he is not an exhibitionist but a little more extension would have highlighted some of these songs better. This is a very even album among the rockers with the majority of songs being enjoyable but nothing really standing head and shoulders above as a go-to type of track. Klaus' voice has held up admirably over time and is on display here. 75/100

From: 123charpenay Date: August 1, 2013 at 11:52
i am surprise by others comments.i m a big fan of scorpions but this record never hooked me.for me an average album not more.

From: 123charpenay Date: August 3, 2017 at 11:01
i can add that after several horrible records, this album is going in the right direction.nevertheless scorpions is always sick.they deliver us a very average record shameful of their naturel talent.

From: hair metal again Date: May 31, 2018 at 8:45
another great one for the SCORPIONS us usual with a big massive hard rock sound, big choruses and guitars the way they do for 4 decades now!all the songs are remarkable and will satisfy the fans for a band that is faithful to its sound!"can you feel it","someday is now","deep and dark" ,"this time" are the highlights !good stuff

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: May 11, 2022 at 11:03
Just because it's better than Eye II Eye (or Pure Instinct for that matter) doesn't make Unbreakable a masterpiece. But it is their best album in a decade (or more, depending on if you liked Face The Heat—I did). Hard to hear "New Generation" and not think of a Pepsi commercial, both because of the title and the anthemic nature ofs song—a little bit labored, to tell the truth, like lots of latter-day Scorps. But you get a really strong run for the next few songs before you hit the first ballad. Not really feeling this one, or the others, and I usually enjoy their ballads. This starts a bit of a mid-album lag. But then! My two favorite tracks on the disc, buried deep in the tracklist, "Can You Feel It" and "This Time." Another boring ballad, and one more anthem for their "maturing" fanbase (riff sounds a lot like "Bad Boys Running Wild") and it's back to Blackout, Lovedrive and Crazy World for this guy.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 15, 2022 at 12:47
