I just recently got this cd and it's great. I've seen it before but never gave it much thought.

From: TIM Date: February 21, 2003 at 5:16
I forgot to rate it when I submitted it- that's why the rating is low.

From: TIM Date: February 21, 2003 at 5:18
Actually, it appears someone else beat me to it.

I remember the video for "God Promised a Paradise" played on Headbangers Ball quite a bit back in the good ol' days. Awesome song. the rest of the album is ok. I had this on tape but have had no luck finding it on CD.

You must not have access to Ebay. It's quite easy to get. If you'd like me to get it for you email me at: rio1harris@aol.com.

This is the best Masi Album. God promised.., Undercover..and Hangin on are very good 80ies Hardrocksongs. On Vocals was one of the coolest singer ever, David Fefolt ex, Hawk and Valhalla. He is brillant, where is he now???

From: James Date: February 21, 2003 at 21:54
God Promised A Paradise is a great song but the rest of the album didn't do much for me. I paid $1.99 and turned around and traded it back in a month later.

From: Blue Tequila Date: March 16, 2003 at 0:20
Hey Tim thanks for the suggestion--so I went out and just got this on Ebay. It's been almost 8 years since I last heard this. Still sounds damn good!

a must have metal cd.god promised a paradise slams.the video got heavy rotation on headbangers ball.i was blown away.alex masi can shred like warren demartini and george lynch.very good songs here.

From: honey Date: January 17, 2004 at 0:51
I'll never forget seeing their video, the singer David Fefolt was a total babe! What is he doing now?

From: Metal T Date: February 4, 2004 at 7:42
Alex Masi can shred !--This guy unfortunately got the "Yngwie Clone" gloss, hardly commanding any respect outside guitar circles. He is definitely underrated as a songwriter as evidenced on 'Downtown Dreamers'.On the songs "Paradise","Hellraiser" and the kick-ass "Thunder & Lightning" he proves he's d*mn worthy !---This is the probably the most 'Band Oriented' release from Masi',with alot of his records being instrumental-esque.Love the M.Diglio(XYZ)like tone on Thunder'.Pretty d*amn nice

From: Vinnie T. Date: June 10, 2004 at 22:09
Alex Masi should have stuck to recording more commercial albums like "Downtown Dreamers". he's a good player but the instrumental thing can get boring. this album rocked and should have been much bigger. you can't beat the combination of great songs, great guitar, and great vocals!

From: Dean Date: August 1, 2004 at 5:15
Once the chorus of "God promised a paradise" gets stuck in your head it is impossible to get it out. Decent album -"God.." was very cool.

HEY you, are you crazy or what?; so few comments on this wonderful album? I don't understand why. This one has got it all: superb production (Howard Benson), superb Guitar Hero with balls, superb lead singer with attitude, looks and a very Nadir D'Priest-RJ Dio voice style and great catchy songs in the vein of Ratt,Dokken and London. PERFECT.10/10.

From: Eva Galli Date: August 22, 2009 at 15:34
Not much to say, a completely 80's GEM

From: z4roxx Date: August 23, 2009 at 8:47
Hi Eva,this is your true name? Are you from Italy?Yes this is a gem!!!Bye!

From: metalhead4life Date: August 23, 2009 at 11:55
Yeah, very good Glam Rock from 1988. 80/100 David Fefolt was also the singer for the band Hawk - S/T album from 1984/1985 which is very good traditional metal from the best era for rock/metal (the mid-80's).

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 23, 2010 at 21:58
