If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Dream Theater CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. As with all DT releases, if you can get past the 'wank' its pretty good. 'Forsaken' is a gem and probably the best on offer here. 'Constant Motion' leans heavily toward Metallica, 'Prophets of War' leans heavily toward Muse. Both good tracks. 'Ministry...' is good but far too long. Good but not great in summary. Oh and drop the damned circus pianos..they sound ridiculous! 7/10

Another instalment in the Dream Theater story and a damned fine one at that, to go along with a mainly fantastic back catologue of work. My interest started to wane slightly (first time ever) when they released the dissapointing 'Train Of Thought' disc. Out went the light and shade that is one of the most appealing factors for me with this bands music, and instead was replaced by a disc too heavy for too much of the time for my liking.

...'Octavarium' got things right back on track, as it was a complete u turn to 'TOT' and was probably one of the most melodic discs the band has ever released so far, albeit with a few outside influences in the sound. With 'Systematic Chaos', the band have delivered one of their best, most varied albums ever. There is still the really heavy, complex stuff ala 'Train Of Thought' on show ,but there is enough variation with the rest of the material to give a really good balance throughout.

...The Muse,Floyd & Rush influences are still there, especially on 'Prophets Of War' which is Very Muse & the opening bars of 'In The Presence Of Enemies Pt.1 for a destinct Rush presence. This is one hell of a great album showing Dream Theater at the top of their game,it's Very heavy & complex in places as you would expect but there are also some fabulous melodic sections as well - Petrucci's end solo on 'The Ministry Of Lost Souls being one fine example. Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant.

As with all DT releases... this is another brilliant one, they can do no wrong!
