No comments yet on one of the MR highlights of this year ?? Surprising !! Then I will start: After I saw the huge list of people taking part in this album, I thought: "Huh, this is going to be one big mess !". But, thank God, T. Denander did a brilliant job in keeping the overview. "Taken" has got everything that we all love. It's got melodies, it's got hooks, choruses, keyboards, just everything, except fillers. GREAT stuff, indeed !! 9.5/10 !!

From: TIM (2) Date: November 14, 2005 at 14:50
This is indeed excellent, be sure to get the version with the DVD as it makes for interesting viewing. Note that MTM have ballsed-up the track listing on the CD. The above listing seems to be right, but on the packaging it's totally wrong. I'm letting this grow before rating it but initial spins highlight the brilliant James Christian/Robin Beck duet "Easys Getting Harder", & the keyboard-drenched monster: "Shattered" with an awesome vocal from Phillip Bardowell.

From: AOR freaky Date: November 15, 2005 at 3:52
Another masterpiece from mr. Denander. Wow, is this man talented or not ? ! THis is beautiful AOR with lots of westcoast influences and as always, it's done with sheer class. Fantastic line-up and indeed, Mr. Bardowell, who released a brilliant solo release himself a month or so ago, is one of the highlights here. Great stuff and very recommended !!!!!

Well, I've made no secret of my dislike for the first 2 Radioactive CDs, but this is a very welcome improvement. Musically great, but the songs are what make the difference here. Good solid melodic rockers, not the old-stlye AOR styles that littered the first 2. 'Stonger than yesterday', 'Easy's getting harder', 'Forgivness', 'Shattered' and 'Carry on' are the highlights for me. Not all is great and it won't be in my top 50 for the year, but it's a good one anyway. I like it.

Nothing else to be said.Tommy D and his cohorts have done the business again !!!!!!

Classy, very classy indeed. Love all of TD stuff and this one is no different. Definately slips inbetween the other 2 Radioactive albums stylwise, as there are elements of both present here. My only minor niggle is, as TIM (2) mentions, the 'Cock Up' in the tracklisting on the cover which is a little bit annoying - otherwise everything is pretty much perfect. Of the 3 albums, this is probably the most consistent, but in the end, I love them all pretty much the same.

From: Wotty Date: November 17, 2005 at 6:37
Jez.This is as classy as Corrie and Eastenders, with a little bit of Neighbours thrown in.Seeing we seem to be off on a soap-opera tangent....

From: TIM (2) Date: November 17, 2005 at 7:21
My only issues here are a couple of fillers (the title-track & "Sinner") & Erlandsson's vocals - his voice is shot to pieces - & Malmsteen's tuneless solo in "Shattered". Otherwise this is fabulous. "Easy's Getting Harder" is one of the best pure AOR tunes I've heard in a long time, and Beck & Christian have simply never sounded better. I just LOVE this song, it's brilliantly written with an incredible chorus. I've never liked Denander's production, but here it's very good. Quality CD. 8.5/10.

TIM - I noticed Mr.Erlandsson's Shot vocal more on 'Carry On' especially in the chorus, which is the weakest on the album I think. otherwise on his other track 'This I Promise You' he sounds fine.

From: TIM (2) Date: November 17, 2005 at 8:13
Hey Jez, I think he had to record "Carry On" at very short notice as Keagy was due to sing it. But he does sound quite rough, as he did on that poppy solo album he had a few years back. Nothing like the magnificent velvety-smooth vocals from his first solo disc. I'd have liked to see Jim Jidhed on here (as he was on the first Radioactive disc) instead...

Recomendado! Saludos dd Barça digo Barna!! ;p

Hi guys - don't post here often but felt i had to for this CD. Absolutely great effort by TD and the cast of thousands. Loads of keys, great hooks, awesome guitar work and stellar songwriting make this my album of the year in front of Khymera's My fav tracks are Premonition, Easy's getting harder, Taken, Shattered and Love is on your mind - awesome 10/10

From: Lovedrive Date: January 6, 2006 at 16:13
Como bien dice Robert, PREMONITION es el temazo del disco (y la balada This I promise you). El resto irregular.. pero solo por esas ya vale la pena

From: Kip Date: January 16, 2006 at 15:45
This one ain't bad. It starts off kinda icky and builds and builds from there. Each song gets better than the last from track 2 thru track 9, at which point you won't find many songs from any albums better. Both Shattered and especially Premonition are outstanding hard AOR tunes with killer keys, guitars, lyrics and vocals. Love Is On Your Mind is also a great track. The only fillers I see here are the title track and Carry On, aside from the instrumental closer. Solid, recommended release.

From: Faust Date: August 18, 2006 at 14:29
Another fantastic release from the swedish AOR master : Tommy Denander. IMO This album is a little worse than "Yeah" but it holds some gems like the superb "Shattered" (in spite of a Y. Malmsteen 's shredding solo which doesn't bring anything) or the brilliant James Christian/Robin Beck duet "Easys Getting Harder"... And as always the production is monstrous. Great melodic album !

From: juan carlos Date: May 6, 2007 at 16:31

From: MadMax Date: April 12, 2010 at 1:55
Seems to be a couple of Malmsteen haters here. Well nothing new, some people are always bashing yngwie no matter what he does. On this album Malmsteen's solo is actually one of the highlights, something fresh and unexpected but fits in perfectly! ..and great album altogether!

From: 123charpenay Date: March 21, 2012 at 14:28
for me the best radioactive record is the first.taken is a great record not more.track 5 with james christian and robin beck is the best song of the album.the rest always the same for fans of toto and wescoast.the bonus track of the japan import is excellent.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 27, 2012 at 18:45
I partially agree with my french friend 123charpenay ...the band's first album "Ceremony Of The Innocence" is somehow better than this one but i think this one grows on you as it gets more listenings...that is what happened to me at least,so at the end i give this album the same rate like the one i out on album one(90/100)..."Taken","Stronger Than Yesterday"(nice),"Easy's Gettin' Harder"(nice AOR),"Shattered"(rocks!),"Love Is On Your Mind","Sinner" & "Never Gonna Let Her Go"(good instrumental)are my faves...recommended...90/100
