I'm 17 years old and I've just begun listening to 80's rock. Some of the bands are awesome (Guns n Roses-AC/DC-Motley Crue-Def Leppard).Unfortunately Europe is not one of them. They sound more like an 80's version of Hanson than a rock group. The Album itself isnt terrible if you like pop music. If your looking for a good rock cd look somewhere else.

From: chaman Date: February 1, 2002 at 19:51
OK Mindy youre right. We all had our preferences back then...i mean Europe was a good band (to me) but they were not great. Only the great ones are still around (Aerosmith, Def Leppard, AC/DC) with the exception perhaps of Guns n' Roses wich are my favorite all time band. There are grate new bands now..I personally like Creed and 3 Doors Down...take care!!!!

Europe was a very great band. IN Italy(maybe all over the world),in the 80s they turned to hard rock people that before listened Duran and Spandau. The Final countdown is powerful and epic. John Norum is an incredible guitar player, the voice of Joey is clean and wonderful. They made also very heavy songs like Scream of anger, Treated bad again and Seven doors hotel. Mindy has all my liking cause she likes Y&T(great),and others great bands.

C'mon guys..all the 80's rock bands are great! Leppard/ac/dc/ gnr/whitesnake/motley/survivor/van halen/..I love all of'em. Ok so we all have our favoutites, but lets not slag'em off! they all played a part in a great era of rock music and it's nice to see the ones's still goin! Be nice guys! D. p.s- Im goin to see Joe Satriani Live next week!!! Yipeeeeeee!

I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but grouping Europe with 3 Whores down, and Greed is downright ludicrous!! Maybe you should dust off your cassette tape, or whatever and place it back in and give it a listen to!! This is a GODDAMN 10 IN MY BOOK!!! MDLMISTRO!!

From: robert Date: January 28, 2003 at 19:37

europe are another cool band from the 80!man, i'd kill for a time machine

From: Gar Date: March 2, 2003 at 23:25
Good compilation. It offers enough surprises for those who already have all the bands albums. Its good that they include fair representation from all their albums, rather than just recycling OUT OF THIS WORLD and COUNTDOWN. Its too often that we see cheaply compiled albums that offer fans nothing new.

From: Mkgonlmadri Date: March 18, 2003 at 16:16
Mindy, are you numb or what?A BIG mouth for a SMALL ears. Europe was one of the biggest hard rock bands in the 80's. You don't know what you missed: Europe, Poison, Bon Jovi,... the 80's were a good f+++ing time for RNR. So RESPECT IT.

From: Desslar Date: March 18, 2003 at 23:59
Great compilation album. All awesome songs except for Seven Doors and Ready or Not.

From: kim Date: June 28, 2003 at 11:27
Simply, great compilation! It's fantastic to have three previously unreleased tracks! We'll cry for them!

From: fernando-spain Date: August 26, 2003 at 3:23
this was a very good band although they did a"great mistake"; making "the final countdown".The reason is that this song had such a success that the company they worked for put them under a huge pressure,so i guess it got harder for them to create music.Besides,a lot of people had a lot of hang ups about this band because they had a good image,so their opinion about them was absolutelly polluted. Conclusion;people was unfair with this band because they were pretty good.Long life to 80īs hard rock.

From: jack Date: May 25, 2004 at 3:24
This album is incredibly good, much better than nost hard rock/metal compilation. Recommended for anyone who like melodic or pop metal and even glam, sleaze or hair metal!

From: LARA Date: October 18, 2004 at 4:49
EL RECOPILATORIO STA MUY BIEN,SON LOS MEJORES!!!! LA MEJOR ES READY OR NOT, PUFF!!

From: GLAM FAN Date: April 18, 2005 at 7:26
I wouldn't say it was incredibly good, just good. MOst of the songs here are taken from their worst album-the final countdown.(commercially,it was unbeatable but quality and song wise as well as the metal factor wise,it was poor). They should not have added i cry for you and superstitious as well as some of the final countdown materail here and should instead include more materails from their first 2 and prisoners in paradise album. Besides, this is not a greatest HITS album(which i would be

From: GLAM FAN Date: April 18, 2005 at 7:29
understandable),this is a best of albumw which means the best song should have been taken. But i undertand my taste dosen't neccessarily implies that it's everyone taste. But anyway, the unrelease track(both) are actually quite good. By listening to it,i reckon it was first produce sometime in the 90's as it had a more prisoners in paradise sounding.

From: the rocker Date: June 22, 2008 at 10:34
i do believe the 2 bonus{unreleased} tracks are leftovers from the prisoners cd. both are good aswell as the acoustic version of i'll cry for you.

If they needed any introduction to anyone reading this site (or to anyone in the world who has ears) then this is a good place to start. Very little on offer that the die-hard fan hasn't already got.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 13, 2010 at 11:17
Pretty decent compilation with some extras added...only for fans i guess...95/100

From: MikeTuinstra Date: November 27, 2010 at 16:53
Europe has always been a Rock band. Detractors can attempt to take away from good music all they want, but this is quality sound here. They never sounded, nor looked anything close to the bubblegum Teen Pop act that was Hanson. This is a real band, real musicians rocking out epic Hard Rock and Pop Metal. Image-wise Europe had a cool and stylish grown up image, Hanson were pre-teen boys with no fashion sense, zits and all. With TFC they had the quality and the promo. They had the full package. If TFC wasn't quality than it sure wouldn't stand the test of time 20+ years later. None of the crap coming out of the past decade will do that. So that's that. Yes, Europe has been disbanded for a decade due to the sham business turning against them, but the songs and the albums have become all the more in demand. This caused a reunion in 2004, and three albums down the line they're alive and kicking again, and have earned their footsteps in music history. More is "in the future to come".

From: hair metal again Date: June 6, 2011 at 7:56
