One of the best Christian Hard Rock cd's ever. It's sad that this is the only cd made by these guys cause if they had stuck together they would of been huge. Two of the memebers went on be in another great band Steelheart. So I advise you to snag this one if you ever come across it since it's out of print.

From: rottunpunk Date: June 23, 2001 at 12:34
rage of angels are classic. i don't know much about them but the music is funky. they shudn't hav split up-a lot of people r losing out on not knowing who they r. get the cd and discover the magic of 80's glam 4 yourself

From: Myke Date: October 15, 2001 at 14:47
This CD Rocked....I miss it!

From: John Date: December 23, 2001 at 12:42
This is a CLASSIC!! A must have for any good collection. Awesome hooks, shredding guitar licks, and an amazing singer. This CD NEVER gets old!

From: Cephas Date: March 4, 2002 at 2:39
A hands-down classic of Christian Metal! Everything in this CD is great: The singing's full-throated & operatic; the guitarwork is superb; hooks & riffs abound. I'm not sure Glam is proper to these guys - no lipstick or boas here. This is early '90's Hair Metal all the way. The song titles are somewhat repetitive, but the lyrics are intelligent. (Surprising for a rock band of this genre!) This is better than some of Stryper's later stuff. Get this if you can!

From: David Date: July 25, 2002 at 1:14
I have the chance to get this album but I'm a bit scared about the christian side to it. Can anyone tell me do they go overboard with the religious thing?

From: Slick Date: July 30, 2002 at 7:41
David, they do have a pretty strong christian message on the cd with their lyrics, you can definately pick it out by listening to a few of the songs. "Do you still believe in love" is one of my all time favorite tunes and I have close to 1000 cds in my collection, so that's saying a lot

From: Der Pink Panzer Date: August 19, 2002 at 17:00
I love this band. They have a very melodic "party metal" sound with fantastic double guitar leads and pounding drums. The vocalist is very good, and there are hooks galore. The message is great and the musicianship top-notch. It's too bad these guys didn't make more music together, as this is an awesome debut. If you like metal bands like Steelheart, you'll enjoy this - if you can still find it!

From: David Date: January 10, 2003 at 7:38
I don't want to be causing fights at all but half the reviews say that this music has a strong Christian flavour and the other half say that it's party rock??? So what I imagine is people going to parties, putting on this cd and start singing about Jesus?? That seems weird to me because that's not how we party in Australia. As I said I don't want to start fights but it just seems weird to me and also makes me what to get my hands on a copy out of curiosity

From: TheRipper Date: January 10, 2003 at 7:51
Naw, I don't think of it as Christian either? If it is, it's the kind where it's hard to notice, and any rock fan (Christian or not) can enjoy it, because it just rocks!!! Isn't that what were hoping to listen to in the first place, something that can get are fists pumping? Killer disc in my opinion, however you look at it!!!

From: James Date: February 19, 2003 at 22:13
Pyn Siren!!! That's right, the singer for this band has a new band named Pyn Siren that also included the bass player from Ted Poley's Bone Machine days. Pyn Siren is pure Skid Row "Slave To The Grind" era sound, rude, in your face, no apologies rock.

From: drewman202 Date: April 14, 2003 at 17:51
Fast-paced ripping hair metal (which I seldom can say about hair metal bands). Just about every song on here is great!

From: Scott Date: May 13, 2003 at 11:26
First of all you guys making all these comments about Christian Metal don't know what you're talking about. I have been listening to metal for the past 16 years and am now a Christian, so I've heard many Christian bands, and let me tell you this, there are MANY Christian Metal bands BETTER than Stryper and Rage of Angels for that matter, as a matter of fact it's just as good if not better than secular metal. This is one killer CD either way, but there are THOUSANDS of awesome Christian bands.

From: Jeremy Date: May 27, 2003 at 21:22
Rock for the Rock is a fantastic song. This was an era where Christian Music was pushing envelopes into creativity. This song is aggressive and hair raising esp the intro.Hooked on a good thing includes a good solo and Bridge.Leave you or Forsake you is another really good song.Otheralbumstocheckout:Guardian-Fire and love, Miracle Mile, Sacred Warrior Obsessions,Whitecross-Triumphant Return,King James- the fall,Stryper an excellent collection,Crystavox-Crystavox,Holy Soldier-Holy Soldier.Classics!

From: Rhythmslave Date: June 27, 2003 at 13:40
the lead singer Dan Mariano is now in the band PYN SIREN. If you like Skid Row's "Slave To The Grind" cd - check out PYN SIREN. It'completely rocks!!!

I had this album on cassette and lost it. If anyone could tell me where to buy it on cd I would great appericate it. moosehead117@hotmail.com

From: metalhead1 Date: January 7, 2004 at 3:44
This is a classic! It is also one of the rarest albums IMO that you'll see. It is a shame about what happened to the guys after the release, but wether you want the Christian side of the music or not PICK IT UP! You won't be dissapointed. I have it on tape, and if found I will grab the cd too.

From: Christian Date: July 19, 2004 at 13:53
This is one of the best bands. As I consider them, they were the Stryper's of the east, perhaps better. I wish along with everyone else on here that they made another album. They would of been great...Not saying that they are great with that one album. I saw them live. As they were breaking up with new members, I saw them in Naugatuck of Connecticut. They played...and still one of my favorite songs "Do You Still Believe In Love".

From: Amanda Date: July 26, 2004 at 22:29

From: Kip Date: September 1, 2004 at 1:59
The music on this album absolutely ROCKS! Great guitar virtuoso/shredder/speed type stuff with crunchy hooks and shifting melodies throughout. A very intense listen! What brings my love of the music down though is the constant biblical lyrics. Stryper drove me nuts in this regard as well. It's nice to dedicate one song to something, but not a whole album. And if that something is religion you get a lot of dispassionate fans like me who still love the music anyway. 8/10

From: figgy Date: January 7, 2005 at 18:49
Hey guys I once had this on vinyl. We must remember besides the actual music, a band's desire is for us to hear their message (lyrics).Let's not judge these guys because of religion but on their musicianship production and overall talent.I myself feel these guys kicked butt.I still remember head banging to these guys, playing air guitars, and screeching out the choruses. If I ever find this on cd again I'll relive my youth. They were great musicians but why did they break up?

From: Daxe Date: April 18, 2005 at 10:16

From: Geoff Date: March 9, 2006 at 20:36
Excellent hard rock CD!!! Highly recommended. As Kip said, it is good that these guys don't shove their message down your throat, but concentrate more on making a good, solid hard rocking CD instead. I love everything about it - great riffs, great hooks, choruses and a great vibe. Own it!

From: Fat Freddy Date: April 17, 2006 at 16:49
Hard to find but well worth seeking out... this is total pedal-to-the-metal stuff. Skid Row fans take note

One of the best christian albums ever !! Two of these guys went on to be in Steelheart as well. You won't find better than this. 9.5/10

From: rockhardrock Date: February 19, 2011 at 13:30
by hearing the 1st song on this record I just said ooohhh yes! that's what I want. for about two years I've been losing the faith in God and I feel really empty. even though it's hard for me now to understand and believe in these lyrics, I must admit that christian bands (this one is too) wrote (write) lyrics which could (can) help you to get through hard times and possibly helps you to find the God again. I hope I will. Can't agree their sound is glam metal but for me it's closer to melodic heavy metal. another one I really like-somebody's watching you.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: March 29, 2011 at 14:01
Excellent Christian melodic hard rock/hair-metal that rips and rages with blistering axe-work that was several notches better than what most Christian bands were pumping out at the time. Of course, scorching guitars with no purpose do not a great album make, so thankfully the band also came equipped with an arsenal of hot hooks and killer harmonies. When I die and hopefully stroll through Heaven's gates, I sincerely hope this is the kind of music the angels are playing...

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 17, 2012 at 20:36
Raw CCM Hard Rock and Metal band!!!...directly to your bones!!!...pretty good album with some highlights, the production is not that good but still into the acceptable terms IMO..."Leave You Or Forsake You"(rocks good!),"Reason To Rock"(yeah!),"Somebody's Watching You"( ),"Do You Still Believe In Love"(my fave of the album),"Rock For The Rock" & "Are You Ready For Thunder"(rocks!)....heaven yeah!!!...84/100

From: MelodicMetal4Ever Date: February 21, 2017 at 16:34
Not to start a war of words or get on a "soapbox" for religion buy I have to ask. Since WHEN and WHY is "religion" a TABOO subject? I see many say "This cd ROCKS BUT it is a religious influenced cd." To that I say WHO CARES? It shouldn't MATTER WHAT you believe (or don't believe) in, To ME the music is the MOST important thing. If it ROCKS but has "religious" tones to it I don't really care...I think ANY music that is "music to your ears" is ALL that matters. Just my 2 cents.

From: mr.shoemaker Date: March 29, 2021 at 17:57
Strong White Metal stuff. The B side is more metal a la STRYPER, the A side a bit more Glam like MOTLEY CRUE.

From: Auslander Date: April 5, 2021 at 2:19
This is a classic of the White Metal genre. Too bad they split up even before this record was released. The rhythm section went on to form part of Steelheart. But, it is the excellent lead and backing vocals that do it for me. Mariano has a clean lead voice that can be gritty or angelic as needed. The twin guitar attack has crunchy rhythm and dynamic leads and riffs. It is melodic metal perfection! This is a headbanging joy to the ears that never gets old. Best tracks: Don't Give Up, Do You Still Believe in Love. 97/100.
