| You can definately hear the Paul Gilbert influence in Craig Small's work. Not a bad album at all. I guess it best compares to Mr. Big. Recommended!

| my favorite tune is 'gypsy queen'..the entire lp does remind me of van halen and especially david lee roth..the hooks, the melodies ,it all reminded me of Roth and co.Not a bad album but being influenced is one thing, but almost sounding like your influences is another thing.. 7'5/10

| Great stuff, when I bought this I was not sure what I was going to get, it was a nice surprise. I think Tim was right, kinda like mr. big. good stuff. thanks for adding it Tim!

| Weak album, only two good songs I remember were good. I can`t understand Mr. Marino on this album he cries like a sausage comparable to his work for cacophony. But he is able to sing, check out the Le Mans album.

| Gotta agree with Shoemaker, overall this CD is on the weak side, with a couple of good songs hidden amidst a bunch of mediocre ones. The band too often resorts to by-the-numbers songwriting, so if that formulaic sound is something that tickles your ear like your girlfriend's tongue, then maybe you'll like this just fine. It's not atrocious or anything like that, but it was gone from my collection about 2 days after I got it...

| Take the first couple Van Halen albums, add some Black Sabbath for heavyness, shake and stirr it well and this is what you get. One of my favorite albums of all times.

| Never been a fan of Pete Marrino on this or Cacophony. His vocals just always sounded so blah and added nothing special to the music which kind of sucks because the music he's singing over is awesome. I have yet to hear the Le Mans album though.

| can't understand the mr big sound alike.van halen yes.and on the first song too far gone.he sounds like the singer from lillian axe.not a bad cd if you can get it at the right price.

| Very average, though I do love 'Too far gone' and 'Wish you still were mine'. I really like those two songs, but none of the rest. Not the best album out there...

| Good techincal hard rock.There are not many bands in this style who play a"sophisticated"hard rock like these guys but...is for that reason that I don t like so much Mr.Big and also this one,too.If they want to show your technical qualities they must play other music..6.5/10

Yeah, I still love a few tracks off this one as noted above - especially that awesome ballad, but if someone wants to give me $60 for this it's a deal!!!  Can't believe it's worth that much...

| On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this release a 6. Nothing groundbreaking here; these guys were OBVIOUSLY influenced by Van Halen. "First Of My Generation" sounded so much like "Hot For Teacher" it made me laugh. I heard a little bit of the Bullet Boys in there too...The songs could've been much more catchier, better hooks, etc. What saved this release was the Guitarist Craig Small - he certainly lit it up. And because of him, I say it's slightly better than average.

| I agree with Geoff. "Wish you still were mine" is a wonderful song, but the production is a bit lacking though. But a nice group.

| The only song on this cd that hit the spot was too far gone. The rest of the cd for me was just a bunch of fillers, which could have been much better. The music was great but they could have went with a better singer, which could have made these songs so much better.

| A less sophisticated version of Van Halen with some obligatory shredding guitar work from the unknown Craig Small(anyone know what else he`s done?)which elevates this up from average to pretty decent. Also features Peter Marrino(Le Mans, Cacophony)who does a passable Diamond Dave impression especially on `Hot for teacher` rip off `first of my generation`.Overall a steady if not dazzling release and probably the best thing Mr Marrino`s been involved with. 70/100

| "WISH YOU WERE STILL MINE" Is the only track I truly can recommend...Good Ballad that fits well with the Era... Maybe the last track as well,Titled "9.0" ...which I felt No need to skip, but no need to praise...but as for the rest...Well, there is a reason nearly every person you have ever known, have never heard of these guys....

| very good hair metal release for 9.0. just not great mostly because of the band trying to offer a more technical sound than it should and not trying to write down some hits!they are def influenced by early VAN HALEN and i think it s getting better and better spin after spin!"wish you were still mine","little sister",Gypsy queen" are fine songs indeed!recommended

| This album shows a band with potential. If they stuck around I reckon their next release would have seem a real progression. Take "Too Far Gone" the title track as an example, the song is pretty hard sounding for a glam looking band, it has gruff vocals, nice effects on the BGV, a really tasty chorus. I'm not sure why it didn't make a bigger splash. Musically that is. This band were poorly marketed and presented. Band name is dumb, album cover is poor, they look glam but would appeal to a heavier crowd. A missed opportunity here, but I still like this album. Obviously it isn't essential but it is worth having if you find it. Grade C+.

| Was another solid release from the old Shrapnel' stable...probably the best thing Peter Marrino ever did-IMO he just plain kicked ass on this one! The guitarist definitely knew his way around the fretboard-some good riffs and lead playing all over this.Ray Luzier-the drummer here has always been pretty well respected in rock / metal circles.Verdict : Not a perfect record by any stretch but a lot better than given credit for.
