If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Hero CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Hero are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Yes, indeed a spectacular album...Great to hear Mr.Fast before his involvement with Pretty Maids...The tracks are typical mid-80s melodic metal with high emphasis on guitars & vocals. It's pretty rare these days so do pick it up if you find it...It's worth it!

From: Scandinavia Date: December 11, 2003 at 19:57
Hahaha just read an interview with Michael Fast...HERO were named COLD PIZZA prior to this release...I'd have changed the name too!

From: Christine Date: December 11, 2003 at 21:11
HERO and COLD PIZZA? Both sound like something you'd have for breakfast after a hard night. I'll have to hear something from them just out of curiosity!

From: Scandinavia Date: December 12, 2003 at 6:57
Yeah, right on Christine! This is a very cool album if you can find it...I don't know why the Ebay average price is so low since it's a pretty rare item...But very recommended.

From: Great Dane Date: May 20, 2004 at 21:14
Scandinavia. Hej du. I think its because, the price is from the Judas Priest release called Hero. Click on the ebay price and you'll see.

..And the Euro Song Contest IS famous .. Of course not as famous as the Euro Soccer Championships --Anyway, Danemark will come through to the quaters and then lose to Germany

There's another band called Hero and I prefer those guys, but this isn't that bad. A lot of keyboards, and some decent tracks. I guess you could slightly compare it to Pretty Maids 'Future world' BUT, with 3/4 of the song writing quality. But a sort of similar sound... sort of, a little more AOR though. It's hard to pinpoint, but all in all this is pretty average AOR.

From: ROX Date: February 12, 2005 at 20:31
was this pressed on CD?

From: Geoff Date: February 12, 2005 at 20:41
I only have a CDR and am not sure if it is copied from CD or from LP. Sorry, can't help. If I had to guess, I'd say it's definately copied from a CD though.

From: Scandinavia Date: May 9, 2005 at 16:00
I don't think it was ever pressed on CD...I only own the original LP version and my homemade CD copy ...But a worthy release none the less!!

Good Melodic Hard-Metal/AOR album, un buen Metal Melodico con sus toques AOR y el sonido inconfundible de los 80 Illusions Of Yesterday, Masquerade, You're A Hero, Race And Revel, Land Of Tomorrow

From: Muddley Date: April 27, 2008 at 4:22
Check my HP www.muddley.com for a soundclip on this band. Go to the CD Collection link....enjoy. The guitarsolo is awesome. There's also some other stuff worth listening to.

From: juan carlos Date: March 13, 2009 at 0:35
Itīs not spectacular but enjoyable Melodic HardAOR/Metal with plenty of keys, catchy choruses, some killer tunes and great solos. "Race And Revel" is my favorite track. 1986 yeah, what a year! Recommended. 8.2/10

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 23, 2012 at 22:25
Quite a goodie in here,Melodic Rock/AOR with some metal touches added,indeed,quite a goodie ..."Masquerade" & "Turning Out A Star" are pretty enjoyable songs...tracks 1,2,4(rocks!),6(rocks real good!)& 8 are also appealing...recommended i'd say...87/100
