The Black Crowes best album by far.

Totally agree. Kick-azz release!!

Recorded live and in the space of two weeks, a spontaneous success! A lot of the early versions of songs were rewritten right on the spot. I could do without the Marley cover though and Darling of the Underground Press should have been a bonus track on the reissue.

A great album! If you like heavy bluesy real rock music, this is the one. Not a lame tune in the bunch. Great party album! Opening with 'Sting Me' into 'Remedy', this album simply takes off in a big way before settling down into 'Thorn in My Pride', a great radio song. Tracks 7-8-9 are amazing, very Led-like, heavy tunes. A must-have album for all true hard rock fans!

Agree, this one is my favourite too, for the same reasons I prefer 2nd Badlands release to first one (that I adore though). More soul and blues spirit but they keep rolling.

From: Baris Date: January 30, 2005 at 10:27
Compared with the previous album, this is much deeper bluesy, folk and mature. They completely stick to 70s sound here which is not so much my cup-of-tea. Long, slow and boring in some places. Creating a non-commercial different album doesn't always mean it'll necessarily be a masterpiece. In terms of blues-soul rock I love Badlands' 2nd album Voodoo Highway and Whitesnake's Restless Heart very much but this is not in the same direction. OK, well written but not my kinda hard-rock.

Black Crowes are awesome, man. I know a lot of people around here are anti-American Idol, but about a month back, Bo Bice, a finalist on American Idol performed an AWESOME rendition of 'Remedy' from this album.

In your face & Rockin'. A great cd which breathed life into the dismal musical climate of the early '90's.

From: Lovedrive Date: July 31, 2006 at 16:19
Aunque es un grupo que se me hace cansino y repetitivo, en este disco hay algunas canciones que me gustan: Remedy y Sting me. El resto para echarse la siesta.. que aburridos

From: pie75 Date: June 25, 2010 at 9:16
this was a great follow up to sym more bluesier but and probably even more mature but it still rocks remedy was the first time i ever heard these guys and fell in love with them instantly but what about sting me,yhorn in my pride and bad luck blue eyes it's just a cool album great musicians and one hell of a singer

Great album. The Crowes really amped up the emotions on this one.
