Well......as much as I loved "Nuclear Cowboy" I DON'T love Loveland. Only one listenable song on this (to me)...and that's "Everything I Need"....that song I DO love. The rest, while it was a nice idea....it's just NOT what I've come to love about Sykes.....no big guitars...no big choruses.......just a whole lot of mush.

i'm from the type who thinks that releasing a complete full ballad album its very risky... but then again if like john sykes it is done with a lot style and confidence...what's the problem?; obviously you have to be in the mood to listen to stuff like this,i mean taking on 10 ballads in one go can be a bit too heavy but if like me you enjoyed stuff which is well performed + written then i have no hesitation in recommending this.

Nice album that is very soulful and typically high on fine musicianship. Not Sykes best but a good collection of well crafted songs. 7.5/10

The album weaves it's way through the tracks with no real standouts, but not because there are no classics, just because they are all as good as each other. This album is one for all fans of John Sykes, and for those who thought he was too over the top or too heavy for AOR - you should take up the challenge and listen to this album. You may just be surprised at what a class act John Sykes can be.

Its a collection of ballads they should be listen, except the great Dont hurt me this way,a duo with Phil Lynott

I know a lot of people dont like this, but I do. It's very classy sounding and the songs are varied enough that it can be listened to & enjoyed from start to finish. The first & last tracks are particularly stunning, as are the awesome guitar solos. Sykes also does a great job on the production duties. I've never been the biggest fan of his vocals, but he puts his heart & soul into it and it shows. Only "Wuthering Heights" do I skip over, the rest make this a very classy release indeed. 8.5/10.

A perfect sentimental cd to give to your wife or girlfriend. Ballads abound with great musicianship & vocals.
