If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Starship CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Starship are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

In my opinion a very solid cd. It's a bit more guitar heavy than your typical Starship release but that's a good thing as the guitarist is John Roth of WINGER and Night Ranger...a very capable player....Also noticed that ALL songs are written by Jeff Pilson with the exception of the Power Ballad "Nothing Can Keep Me From You" which was written by none other than Diane Warren and it definitely shows...Could've been a hit in 1987....All in all a worthy purchase.

So, somehow, Mickey THomas, the guy who got in a fistfight with other bmembers of the band and got fired, ends up with the Starship name? And 25 years after such inexplicably chart-topping turds as "Nothin's Gonna Stop Us," "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over," and the godawful "We Built This City," he thinks people are actually clamoring for a new Starship release? Yeah, right!

Speak for yourself Doghouse, I'm certainly interested in more Starship and was excited at the thought of a new album, but it's better to consider this a Mickey Thomas solo disc really. The album itself is fairly modern and different from the other albums (unfortunately it is quite dissimilar to the excellent Love Among The Cannibals). Don't let that put you off though as Thomas' vocal skills are still there and Jeff Pilson (yes, bizarrely Pilson wrote all the songs except tracks 8 and 10 and co-produced the album too) writes some decent songs. My picks from this one include How Do You Sleep?, Loveless Fascination (very catchy), the modernish ballad What Did I Ever Do?, How Will I Get By?, and my favourite, the Diane Warren-penned ballad duet Nothin' Can Keep Me From You (about as close to the band's original sound as the album gets). As stated above, this is a lot more guitar-driven and even resident Mickey Thomas hater Doghouse Reilly might find a few tracks on here that he likes.

Not withstanding the "Doghouse Reilly" vs. "edwithmj" differences of opinion above, I like this album. Listening to it now....
