Heard the 1st two tracks off this from the Rocky and Cobra soundtracks. Sounded great. Is the rest good? I was also curious if Stallone used the song 'Daylight' in the movie with the same name? Don't remember it if he did.

From: ROB GARCIA Date: March 13, 2004 at 7:40
hi tim. actually it is!,i recommend you to get a copy of this pronto as it is a great westcoast/aor album.it will take a couple of listens to really grab your attention but once it does youll be pleased that you have bought this.good one.

Thanks Rob! I'll pick it up as soon as I can. I was surprised this wasn't here ages ago. I dug up the info. between several Ebay listings and got it here. Saw the prices it was fetching.

One of my fav AOR albums ever ! Actually i \ve discoverd what AOR is after watching Rocky IV. Great voice, great songs, awsome heart and power in every track. AND Tim , Stallone has not used the song ''Daylight'' in the movie, he did use, ''whenever there is love'' by d. summer, and b.roberts

From: TIM Date: March 13, 2004 at 11:26
Thanks Peter. I didn't think he did, but wasn't sure.

From: peter poland Date: March 13, 2004 at 11:46
Come on guys,,,, let's bring that cd to the top , it's really worth ''10/10''

From: Andy Nathan Date: March 23, 2004 at 19:52
The title track is worth buying the CD alone for- awesome, everything I love about 80's US melodic rock!

From: Nanteau Date: April 7, 2004 at 18:01
I'm very pleased that this one finally appears here ! It's such an excellent album, the price you have to spend for an original -and you WILL- tells it all ! The ballad 'If that's what you call lovin'' is some of the greatest tracks ever ! I don't like american rock too much actually but this is superpe, of course 'No easy way out' too --it's heavy cool ->->Buy

This music is just different, I have not yet found a completly similar singer that has great rock with an electronic touch, I just don't understand why he is not very popular, if it wasn't for Stallone, I bet nobody would even hear his music. I hope more messages will be posted I would like to hear from others about Robert's music! So recently have you all heard that he formed a new band called The Tumbleweeds, more info on: robert.tepper.web.free.fr/ My email: tood2@juno.com See ya later!!!

From: peter poland Date: December 19, 2004 at 11:58
z4roxx , if you think that LOVE HURTS, Soul SURVIVOR or DOMINATIOn are boring, you must have been listening to techno music.

From: z4roxx Date: December 20, 2004 at 18:46
Hey P.Poland, first of all,'tecno'is written in this way!second:I think you know few aor solo releases to say that it's a great cd or you are a R.Tepper's cousin?Another overrated cd.for me the value is about 15/15,00$,it's crazy pay it 50/80$ for 2 good songs.....Try to listen some Stan bush release and you'll put this one in your home trash!!ah ah ah!!!!

From: 80sMetal11 Date: June 23, 2005 at 23:15
I obviously remember No Easy Way Out from Rocky IV but I also remember Angel of the City from Cobra as well. Only one question though: How come this averages $87 on ebay will such a popular song on it? In other words, I can't believe this is out of print!

From: swriter Date: August 27, 2005 at 13:31

From: swriter Date: October 29, 2005 at 11:25
cool Paul, u think this one will be re-released soon???? that would be great, my vinyl is hanging in there for once a month play!!!!! ha does Robert have a best of released anywhere?

From: PAUL Date: October 29, 2005 at 12:32
switer, there's no indications for a re-release on cd, a pity...the original one is too expensive and very rare to be found. Do well with your vinyl mate and listen to 'no easy way out', one of the best AOR songs ever written! Also, check out BENNY MARDONES's 2nd work. You'll find some well-known persons of our music there just like MARK MANGOLD, MARK SPIRO and...ROBERT!

THE VOICE OF GOD !!!!!!!!!!!

From: sanxdowntherainbow Date: February 20, 2007 at 19:56
Robert Tepper rules, he's one of the best singers from the 80's. The entire cd rules, of course the title track is a classic, but there's no fillers in here! 'Your love hurts' is an awesome ballad, 'Soul survivor' is another song in the vein of the title track, 'angel of the city' and 'restless world' are fine examples of what AOR is. Try to find it, no matter the big prices! 10/10

From: Heavy.AOR Date: February 21, 2007 at 4:00
One big fucking brilliant AOR Featuring Tommy Funderburk, Van Stephenson (RIP), Alan Pasqua, Tom Kelly, Kim Bullard, Tim Landers, Richard Gibbs, Dann Huff, Karla Devito, Myron Grombacher, Steve Lively, Eric Williams, Guy Marshall as well as the Rocky IV sondtrack song 'No Easy Way Out' and 'Angel Of The City' off the COBRA soundtrack (Sylvester Stallone).10/10*

From: AOR1 Date: August 17, 2007 at 6:15
as z4roxx said: apart from the awesome tracks no 1 + 2 this isn't very special. rest of the songs are decent aor trax with hi-tech appeal. for sure not bad, but not worth spending much money. 73/100

From: newscandi Date: January 28, 2009 at 17:53
I would like to know if it's right that there are a lot of mistakes in the booklet of the Scotti Brothers release?? For example it says in its lyrics 'If that's what you've cali lovin`' instead of 'call' in the 1st refrain. Please email me at 'cornelius_groth@yahoo.de' or state it here so everyone can take it as an alert.

From: shoemaker Date: January 31, 2009 at 8:13
Good rock/pop album for fans of RICK SPRINGDIELD or COREY HART.

From: lalo r.o.c.k. Date: July 21, 2009 at 23:17
Good album, the most known No Easy way out is not alone here, others pearls for me are Angel of the city,Your love hurts,Soul survivor(great AOR!!)and the power ballad full with feeling If That's What You Call Lovin',these songs pay all the album,8/10.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 15, 2011 at 22:17
"No Easy Way Out" from the Rocky 4 movie soundtrack was i think Robert's most relevant hit...a kinda of "one hit wonder" artist but the thing is that there are songs in this album that could easily have had the same impact as the aforementioned song..."Angel Of The City","Restless World"(thumbs up 4 this one ),"Hopeless Romantic","Soul Survivor"(catchy) & "If That's What You Call Lovin'" (beautiful ballad)...as you can read,many...anyway a pleasant AOR album that came out in a great year for the genre,1986...90/100

From: edwithmj Date: October 22, 2012 at 10:00
Excellent disc often overlooked because he was considered a one hot wonder. The track from Rocky IV No Easy Way Out is good enough but I think the stand out is the one from Cobra which is Angel of the City. The vocals really capture the essence of the song I feel.

DE LOS MEJORES ALBUNES DE AOR DE TODA LA HISTORIA CON DAN HUFF A LAS GUITARRAS QUE MAS SE PUEDE PEDIR? 10/10 INCREIBLE

From: hair metal again Date: May 20, 2014 at 4:28
pretty good debut by ROBERT TEPPER ,but not as good as stated above!the 80s pop elements are all over and i believe that this isnt right!the approach Robert got in his 3rd release suits him better!anyway here you can find some great songs like the mega hit "no easy way out","soul survivor","angel of the city" and "if that s what you call lovin"!overall you wont be disapointed
