| excellent hard rock by this swedes with loads of catchy tunes that will grab you on first listen and thats something that i can guarantee you!!.another plus that i see on this band its that the lead vocals are shared between eva & peter and that makes the album flow much easier on the listener and makes it more varied too.if i had to describe this band i would say that a mixture of heart with treat would be a close description.also the production is quite good for an indie release.i enjoyed

| SIMPLY FANTASTIC ALBUM WITH TOP SONG VERY INSPIRED AND WELL ARRANGED!! AND THE PRODUCTION IS EXCELLENT . THIS BAND IS MIX BETWEEN ALISON AVENUE AND DANTE FOX AT THEIR VERY BEST !!!!! ESSENTIAL 9/10

| A los que les guste el Hard Rock melódico liderado por una voz femenina (Eva Eggesjô) este CD les caerá al dedillo. Es simple su propuesta: “Northern Light” está impregnado de buenos arreglos, sumáosle solos de guitarra, muchos teclados, bases potentes y una onda de la década donde “Volver Al Futuro” fue furor, la cual es bien clara en todo el disco. A pesar de que hacen Hard Rock melódico, hay un par de canciones que por momentos me recuerda a la excelente banda de Rock, Fleetwood Mac.

| El mejor tema a mi placer es justamente el que lleva el nombre del opus “Northern Light”, aunque hay otros temas destacables como “Cry For You”, “Heaven In My Hands” y “Oriental Eyes”, pero “Northern…” tiene una atmósfera sonora impresionante. Lars Abrahamsson hace un buen acompañamiento de la guitarra y el resto de la banda responde bien al producto que desearon lanzar.

| Provinientes de Suecia, lugar que donde nacieron los monstruos del Metal como Shotgun Messiah, Electric Boys, Yngwie Malmsteen, Europe, XT, Zion, y un larguísimo etcétera, Broke N Blue se está abriendo paso en la escena local, regional y mundial. El combo se completa con Peter Gustavsson quien co-lidera en voz con Eva, y Ulf Vestlund en bajo y batería, ya que la guitarra y teclados corren por cuenta de Lars. Con BNB te aseguro que vas a volver a los mejores momentos de los ochentas.

| Most people will probably know the new release 'The Waiting' above this one, as this was their smaller label 'Debut'. Having really given both discs a good workout, I really do prefer this one over the newie. Ok 'The Waiting' does sound better in the production stakes,and make no mistakes,is a great album.I just find the songs on this one a little more consistent and enjoyable overall. Not to worry though, Both are highly recommended in the Scandie stakes!!!

| Wow! PERFECT! WONDERFUL! AMAZING! Finally I have got more this incredible BROKE [N] BLUE - Northern Light '01 CD ---> (ULTRA MEGA RARE). :-) My rating is 100/100. :-) Yeah! Pero que tenemos aqui, vaya que melodias de este tremendo albun de AOR/HardROck de altisimo Nivel, no cabe duda estos magos del AOR "Eva Eggesjo Abrahamsson & Peter Gustavsson" hacen magia y con ese sonido y melodia a las epocas doradas de los 80's Tremenda Joya del 2001 con unos muy buenos temas "Here She Comes, I Will Be There, Enuff, Touching me(Tonight), Northern Light" y mis Favoritas  Back Again & Oriental Eyes Temasos de buena calidad 9.5/10.

You listen to the first keyboard sounds of "I will be there", the first riff gets you off the ground... and then..... just boredom. Alone the voice is somewhat mixed up relaxing with boring I think. Who is a scandinavian or female AOR completist must have this anyway. It's not that bad, but not good enough for me to keep

| Well, I think I just change my mind... just a bit. If you're in the right mood, it's a "85". If not so, it's just a "80". But never something exceptional. Musically it's FAR better than "voicecally". This to keep as a solid statement from me

| Pleasant AOR...acceptable man and female singer ...typical AOR cuts with a good dosage of melody...ok there are thousands of bands alike and better but let's be honest this group also has its tools,right?..."Touching Me(Tonight)","Here She Comes","Back Again" & "Heavenly Beauty" are my faves...86/100

| Lightyears better than their 2nd release. Yes, production and sound haven't the same level as the MTM release. But the songs are simply stunning. Perfect scandi melodic rock.Can't get much better. Melodies that will stuck in your head forever.
