Great melodic hardrock album! Jamie Lee has a very strong voice, who fits this kind of music perfect.Their sound reminds of early "Dokken".The whole album has a very high standard, not a bad song. So if you like 80ies hardrock this is for you. Standout tracks to me is "Sooner Or Later", "Too Late" and the ballad "Second Time Around".

From: AOR freaky Date: May 26, 2004 at 5:07
Indeed, not bad at all and much wanted item !

From: Metal T Date: May 26, 2004 at 9:43
Very average Hard Rock.Guitarists Curt Mitchell and John Kirk would later go on to join miserable failure "Bangalore Choir".

From: gener8tr Date: May 27, 2004 at 13:28
Bangalore Choir was a misersable failure? Perhaps to their label, but not to the listening audience... "On Target" was (IMO) an awesome and very underrated 80's rock album. "Angel In Black," written by Steve Plunkett of Autograph is as good of an 80's rock anthem as I've ever heard, and "Loaded Gun" would have fit nicely onto Bon Jovi's "New Jersey." Thanks for bringing Bangalore Choir back into my memory bank, I'll be sure to give it a spin tonight!

From: Geoff Date: September 21, 2004 at 18:47
Wow, this one is really worth checking out. Very solid melodic hard rock from start to finish. From the opening track you're hit with blistering hard rock, and that's pretty much how it goes for the rest of the CD, bar a nice balladic track or two. Yeah, very good CD this one.

From: RETROSPECT Date: October 4, 2004 at 13:28
In favor of the album cover for the bangalore Choir album with the slut on all fours in a puddle. Gotta say, that is a good one for such generic music.

From: Retrospect Date: October 4, 2004 at 13:30
Oh, by the way, I truly have enjoyed my entire Bangalore Chir collection thank you, I was making reference to the statement above - and this Razormaid disc is right ON TARGET (bangalore choir pun there) for great melodic metal from the first track.

From: Agnar Date: October 12, 2004 at 7:51
OUTSTANDING GEM!!! great vocals, great riffing, great melodies! In the vein of Lizzy Borden, Hawk and late-80s Dokken. Hear the n.6 track "Victims of the night"...simply a killer! MUST HAVE.

From: Erik Date: October 29, 2004 at 0:23
I would have to say both bands are sweet. Very catchy beat and everything razormaid and bangalore choir aren't VERY AVERAGE they are both sweet!!!!

From: z4roxx Date: January 3, 2005 at 17:45
One of the most powerful and solid class hard rock releases ever heard!for me it's 9,5/10.I'd give it a 10 but I think choruses are not at the same level as structure tracks....The production is terrific!!Is this an indie or pseudo indie???Wow!!!

From: Kim HP Date: February 5, 2005 at 12:11
Excellent 80's hard rock/metal CD. Sounds a lot like Helloïse. Not really any bad tracks to be found here, just solid stuff from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I don't know who the hell would term Bangalore Choir "a failure"! That was an awesome band that unfortunately didn't get the recognition they deserve. "Angel In Black" is one great opener and "Loaded Gun" is my fav track on the disc with its soaring vocals and chorus. "If the Good Die Young" has that same soaring chorus and closer Just One Night is just an awesome 80s rocker!

Yes,fine guitardriven melodicmetal a la Fifth Angel!!!

From: juan carlos Date: July 18, 2007 at 0:16
Impresionante MHR con su toque MM, claro que sí shoemaker recuerdan esos riffs a los Fifth angel y demas. De favoritas pues está harto difícil pues todas son excelentes, me quedo con "Livin' On The Run" "Livin' On The Run" "Sooner Or Later" "Too Late" "Racing With Time" "Blue Thunder" sigo? Escúchalo a todo volúmen y veras... 9.5/10

I'm listening again and i'm totally agree with my Sensei aorjocke Great melodic hardrock album! Jamie Lee has a very strong voice, who fits this kind of music perfect. Their sound reminds of early "Dokken". The whole album has a very high standard, not a bad song. So if you like 80's hardrock this is for you Victim Of The Night, Sooner Or Later, Too Late 3 fav songs but all album is Perfect in style Ultra Highly Recommended 10/10.

From: rocknut Date: January 2, 2008 at 14:05
This album was a total surprise. Very good, classy and hard hitting hard rock in the same rich vein as Icon and Fifth Angel. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of guitar heavy, melodic hard rock. 9/10

From: the rocker Date: October 11, 2009 at 21:39
Shoemaker is dead on. fifth angel style. i love it.

From: 20gunsalute Date: December 17, 2009 at 21:03
This was kind of a letdown, especially for a release from 1987. A lot of these songs started of really rockin' and then just kind of fizzled out. This sounds way too commercial for when it was released, but I guess some of that sound had started creeping in by 87'. The band seemed talented and had a good singer, I just wished the songs could have remained consistently rockin' all the way through.

very rare record in the vein of marchello(for the guitars).great american hard rock not more.solid album no fillers.but not a classic.

From: MrMetal Date: December 22, 2011 at 13:23
They formed around 1983 in California (eventually relocating to Nevada) & becoming one of Reno's premier acts of the 90's. This was a surprisingly high-class slab of Melodic Metal that deserved to be released on a larger label. Both guitarists would go on to join BANGALORE CHOIR, & the thick sizzling guitars are mainly what makes this release tick. The vocals are exceptional (at times reminding me of Kal Swan (but not as deep). There's definitly a LION vibe here with some other influences. Strong vocals, top-notch riffing & great melodies equal one of the better Indies out there.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 28, 2011 at 19:41
Great album that mixes edgy Hard Rocking songs with some others that are into a more melodic field and backed up,obviously,by the very skilled vocalist Jamie Lee(a glammy name )...my fave tracks are "Obsession"(Hard AOR feel),"Livin' On The Run","Victim Of The Night" & "The Drifter"...recommended...88/100

From: hair metal again Date: April 23, 2015 at 2:12
superb hard rock release by RAZORMAID with an extremely hard edge and very strong guitar riffs!the musicianship is excellent and the vocals powerful&warm at the same time!very solid, deep with many hooks it will satisfy you and it has a certain mid 80 s vibe!i can see no fillers and this is flawless from start to finish!

From: 123charpenay Date: September 2, 2016 at 16:51
