| People have been bitching at AC/DC for years to 'try something new' but when AC/DC strayed off just a tad bit to do something a teeeeeeny bit different, guess what? They get even more bitching! 'Fly On The Wall' and the harder & largely overlooked/lost unknown 'Blow Up Your Video'. Take one listen to 'That's The Way I Wanna Rock N' Roll', 'Kissin' Dynamite', 'This Means War' or 'Ruff Stuff' & if you are a TRUE fan of AC/DC, TELL ME it doesn't kick ass. Yeah, that's what I thought, punk.

| Great album. Heatseeker may be the fastest song AC/DC's ever done. Ruff Stuff is a personal favorite, and Go Zone is fun too.

| I can explain....I am an authority on this band! The year was 1988 and this album was produced by George Young (Angus & Malcolm's bro...) Not that it's a bad thing, but it is their last album with atlantic records. The reality of it all is, Fly On The Wall and Flick Of The Switch are next to be discontinued. I can't say that for sure, but I know AC/DC very well and those two would be the next to go. Ask me anything about this band and I will tell you anything you need to know!!!

Atlantic can go ahead and discontinue this album if they want.....AC/DC has already made boo-coo bucks off this release, so fuck Atlantic!!!! (can you tell I am a little protective of my band...) | Well, AC/DC's so-called 'new' label is EastWest Records, which is just an extension of the Atlantic corporation. So technically, AC/DC STILL ARE on Atlantic (sort of). By the by, 'BUYV' kicks ass and it is perhaps their most under-rated. It would be great if the band started performing 'That's The Way I Wanna Rock 'n Roll' or 'Heatseeker' live again (esp. the former), because there are plenty of great songs on this record. Oh, hell. Just buy and enjoy.

| Dokken6008, you are kinda right about the label deal. But really it's a merger of Atlantic and Elektra Records. Elektra Entertainment Group Inc. is who is in control of the label. Time Warner Company is who owns Elektra Entertainment Group Inc. In all Elektra is AC/DC's label now. Anything else you need to know Dokken6008?

| Alright cool, j. I guess you keep up with the label merging and names better than I do. Sorry it took me so long to get back.... Anyway, after listening to 'Blow Up Your Video' nearly all the way through on two seperate occasions these past few weeks, I must once again re-affirm my love for this album. It is just so freakin' good!! 'Two's Up' is such a unique tune even though it grates on your nerves once in a while. And what about 'Meanstreak'? Great stuff. Great, great AC/DC material...

| R.R. is right on as far as the first two tracks go. As far as the rest of the tunes, I love 'em all. This is one of AC/DC's finest, in my opinion but I guess it's what R.R. said, 'to each his own'. It's great to disagree with people without starting a 'fuck you, faggot', 'no kiss my ass, bitch' internet match. I wish it could be like this more often but instead we have more incoming faggot-bitches with nothing better to do than start trouble on a melodic rock web-site such as H.H.

D-6008, it sounds like you feel the same way about the song 'Two's Up.' That song is different isn't it? Almost like some other band did that song a B. Johnson sang it for them. Like you said.... 'unique.' It's not your typical AC/DC song but, I really like it! Than again, there ain't one I don't like.

| Right on, j. It sure was nice to hear AC/DC do something just a tad bit out of the norm--I mean, what's wrong with it? 'BUYV' contains a great deal of classic material from the band--even the out-takes!! Have you ever heard the kick-ass signature Angus Young riff on 'Down On The Borderline'? Great stuff. | j., I have this one import called 'Sessions, B-sides, & Rarities' for AC/DC and it has those other out-takes you mentioned as well (the sound quality is great on MOST of the tunes). So please let me ask you one question: does 'Down On The Borderline' have crappy sound on your copy of whatever you got that tune from? This is on cd I'm talking about. Almost all of the tunes sound 1000n all of the songs BUT 'Down On The Borderline'. Is this true for yours as well or is mine a bad copy?

| D-6008, You must have a bad copy. The one I have sounds real good. 'Down On The Borderline' was recorded August-September 1987 at Miraval Studios, Le Val, France. It was originally released on the B-side of the Australian 7', 12' & CD-single of 'Moneytalks.' There is a bootleg album called 'Rare, rarer, rarities' that it is also on, but it was only officially released in Australia.

| Hey jason, what was the name of the band that Angus's brother George was in in the 60's. They sounded like the Beatles in a way and they had one hit song. I saw it in VH1 Behind the Music, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I heard the song and recognized it, but never knew it was their brother. Thanx

| AC/DC's Australian label, Albert Productons, just signed a new distribution deal with Festival Mushroom Records. Albert signed the band in 1974 and still distributes them today in Australia & New Zealand. This is the only thing about AC/DC's album distribution that I have heard lately. B.U.Y.V. ain't going anywhere!

| AC/DC's 1st singer (before Bon), Dave Evans has a live CD that just came out. It's called 'A Hell Of A Night.' Recorded live with the tribute band Thunderstruck in Sydney in Feb. 2000. It is now available in the US through Perris Records. If you want it you have to order it though Perris Records website.

| Sorry, I forgot to add, this wasn't my favorite AC/DC attempt by far, but still sticks to the formula of an AC/DC album. My Fav's are Back In Black, Flick Of The Switch, For Those About To Rock, and Fly On The Wall.

| This album is OK but it just shows how many bands start a downward spiral after a few albums. This band had a lot longer 'HEYDAY' so to speak than most bands could ever dream about. THere really isn't much to talk about with this band after their F.O.T.S. album other than an occasional highlight here or there. They have been there and done that so many times it has become monotonous. DAMN IT AC/DC, YOU F'N ROCK!!!!!

| I believe this album was one of their most commercially succesful releases in the UK and brought them back to a broader audience after a spell in the doldrums. For me it is a classic album and possibly my second favourite studio album from AC/DC after Back in black

| well finally i hear good reviews on this album and deservedly so 2 this is the first ac/dc album i ever heard i was 12 yo when i seen the heatseeker clip and was hooked 4 life they're the best band in the world full stop it may have been a little overproduced but so fucking what it has great songs and yeah guys why wasn't down on the borderline or borrowed time put on the album i would've replaced this means war 4 either 1 of them and as 4 talk of deleting this or any other ac/dc album 4 that matter is complete maddness i'd delete every grunge album ever made before any acca dacca album

| Blow Up Your Video llegó en 1988, casi al terminar la década de los 80, Una época extraña para esta banda, mientras sus lanzamientos no llegaron a tener el impacto al que estaban acostumbrados, mantuvieron su grandeza gracias a sus actuaciones en vivo, que es lo que siempre han hecho mejor en toda su carrera, AC DC es una banda para disfrutar a todo volumen en tu stereo, pero en vivo son los más grandes, una legión de seguidores de todas las edades los respaldan a donde quiera que vayan, este disco aunque pasó hasta cierto punto desapercibido, cualquier verdadero fan conoce perfectamente cada canción de este trabajo, "Heatseeker" "Thats the Way I Wanna R n R", "Ruff Stuff" "Go Zone" "Kisssin Dinamyte" " Two´s Up" para mí son fantásticas y demostraron que AC DC estaba más vivo que nunca, así lo demuestran en su posterior disco de la mano de un gran productor como Bruce Fairbain. Es ahí donde se quedaron cortos después de haber trabajado con el gran Mutt Lange.

| Came back to this album recently, I now gotta say it has a very good sound - drums sound very very good! and bass is up front. The two singles are excellent, and it is a rather consistent album. Not every song is great, but songs range from average to great, so certainly an underrated album in their catalogue. I like it better than Fly on the wall, since slightly better songs and esp. better sound. Even though not a big seller to be AC/DC, it was in fact certified platinum in US within two months of its release, and Heatseeker reached no.12 in the UK singles chart and actually became their biggest UK hit. Both singles are on the popular Live album "AC/DC Live: 2 CD Collector's Edition" from 1992.
