This is a really good album and was vastly overlooked! If this band ever had the chance to get good publicity, they would have been much, much bigger. The songs are written very well and are very original. Everything about this band is great! Each member is superbly talented! I was lucky enough to find a NEW copy of this album last year! So, if you love hard driving 80's hard rock, you'll dig this album!! You can't go wrong with this one!! If you find it, GET IT!!!!!!!!

From: AOR-MESSIAH Date: April 13, 2002 at 16:39
They don't make them like this anymore. It's like a breath of fresh air today. Sounds like Dokken with Vince Neil singing.

From: jason Date: May 12, 2002 at 19:37
I just picked up their latest album "Ink." It came out in 2000. I am still getting use to it, but the title track is really good. I like what I have heard on the rest of the album. Ink is the only CD of theirs that I can get my hands on. They have a great sound. They are crunchy and sound like Testament on some songs and the Bulletboys on others, if you ask me. They have about 5 albums out and I would like to hear more.

I've been a TT Quick fan since the original 5 song EP came out. God, I wish I could find all their stuff on CD. Metal of Honor is one of the world's true uncovered gems. If you haven't heard it yet, Their new album (Ink) is out.

Damn, I had totally forgotten how much these guys rock. Thanks for reminding me. DiPietro really kicks ass.

I found this CD new at a local CD store today, and I have listened to it 5 times now. This CD reminds me of a mix of Tattoo (Chicago band) and Metal Church, part hard rock, part thrash/speed metal. Great, powerful CD! 'Metal Of Honor', 'Front Burner', 'Asleep At The Wheel', and 'Queen Of The Scene' are my favorite songs, but it all rocks!

From: Scott Date: February 6, 2003 at 13:58
Excellent power metal from a band who just never could keep it together. Too bad because this album, along with their awesome 5 track debut are both fine examples of 80's power metal. The album sports strong, powerhouse vocals, lots of aggression and quality hook laden song writing. Growing up in NJ in the 80's. I was a fan of this band even before their first EP. I saw them open for Helstar on their tour for 'Metal of Honor'. It's a shame they didn't get the recognition they deserved.

Just discovered these guys. Saw the CD listed on ebay, checked out the reviews all of you left (thanks everyone, you turned me onto another good album!) Took a chance and bought it. I was not dissapointed. These guys are good. Hard edge, but still melodic. Some real good songs here. Anyone who hasn't heard of them, check them out if you're looking for a good powerful sound. They're pretty good.

I have a compilation album called "From the Megavault" where T.T. Quick performs a song called: "On a wing & a prayer"...Very good track! Does anybody know where I can find it?

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 28, 2003 at 15:22
I think that compilation is the only place you can find that song. TT Quick only has about 4 or 5 albums, and that song isn't on any of them.

From: Scandinavia Date: June 28, 2003 at 15:31
Okay, thanx Jason...What a shame 'bout that track...I only have the compilation on tape...

From: The Fizzy One Date: February 6, 2004 at 3:05
Wouldn't I love to get the Fizzy Mitts all over this one? Didn't this get reissued by somebody or other? And what album does the song "Kickin' Ass" come from, is that Sloppy Seconds?

The title cut displays Tornillo's distinctive vocals, sort of a mix of Vince Neil meets Brian Johnson (AC/DC). With such a title, it's a broadside of aggressive riffs and a Keel like chorus, huge on chants. 'Front Burner' and 'Hard As A Rock' proceed similarly, mid paced and intense. 'Hell To Pay' switches between quieter acoustic moments and a heavy Def Leppard type chorus before 'Queen Of The Scene' tears things down among a bluster of riffs and shouts. Bombastic heavy metal.

From: TTHead Date: May 24, 2004 at 2:37
another old Jersey boy in the house here! TT Quick was a real breath of fresh air amidst the tons of pretty boy Sunset strip types. they played it hard, they played it loud and each member was a pro at his instrument. Metal of Honor was their definitive release and I consider it to be essential listening. Btw, "Kickin' Ass" can be found on "Thrown Together Live." I have all of their albums and have not found a studio version of that song.

From: David Date: October 30, 2004 at 14:13
'Metal Of Honor', This album is great. I remember seeing these guys every Thursday nite at L'amours in Brooklyn. This was back in 1983. These guys are talented. DiPietro really kicks ass.

From: Fizz Date: December 3, 2004 at 23:57
Finally got this one today, and my initial thoughts: Very hard rock with some thrash tinges, particularly in the area of drums and some riffing. Reminds me of Accept in some places, early L.A. GUns (but heavier) in others. Tornillo makes me think of Marc Storace, with some Halford-like screams, which he does when he can't think of anything else to do. Minus 1 for the out-of-place "Glad All Over," minus 1 for the excessive shrieking and the final score is an 8.

From: Fizz Date: December 3, 2004 at 23:57
The Fizz picks: "Front Burner," "Hard As Rock," "Hell to Pay" and "Queen of the Scene."

From: Swriter Date: April 25, 2005 at 18:04
wow, T.T. Quick on HH!!!!!!! I remember seeing this band live around the central jersey area around the time of twisted sister. Great band, very heavy metal early 80's stuff, one of the best metal albums of the 80's!!! The ep is also wonderful which I guess is not available anymore, at least I have that one on vinyl!!!

From: Blue Tequila Date: April 19, 2006 at 10:51
If you like Restless & Wild era Accept then you should enjoy this cd. The lead singer is definitely a poor man's Udo. Nice heavy melodic metal that will get your blood pumping, especially "Child of Sin" and "Asleep at the Wheel".

From: Metal T Date: June 6, 2006 at 8:46
"Front Burner" f-n cranks ! As Blue Tequila' stated there is some obvious "Accept" influence on here (which is nice) Add some good fretwork from their guitar player and you have a decent mid 80's metal album.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 16, 2007 at 14:30
GREAT CD 82/100 US MELODIC METAL If you like TSUNAMI/CJSS/WILD DOGS/PHANTOM/DAMIEN huge !!! GREAT GUITAR PLAYER

From: shoemaker Date: July 24, 2008 at 16:18
I donīt like it. Unmelodic, and the singer sounds like a bad version of Marc Storace from KROKUS.

From: metalmastermusic Date: July 27, 2008 at 17:06
Great album, wish I had not sold it now. AC/DC type music but with a straight ahead more direct type of rock. This is the only album of theirs that I have heard but it woudl lend me to pick up another at some time. This will appeal to those who like the band The Order. 80/100

From: aMetalhead1966 Date: July 31, 2008 at 13:39
Great release here...solid songs and Dave rips it up on the guitar. Had this ever since it was released and I still play it..Good stuff!!!

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: August 3, 2008 at 14:22
I like it! Kinda putst me in mind of bands like Armored Saint or maybe heavy Kick Axe, that play what seems like straight-forward hard rock, but ratcheted up a couple notches in intensity, but not quite to a thrash level. Really, in some ways, this was ahead of its time, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if fellow Jersey boys Skid Row were paying close attention. "Glad All Over" is the only turd, and is a turd indeed, sounding completely out of place, but everything else smokes! My favorites are "Front Burner," "Hard As A Rock," "Hell to Pay," "Queen Of The Scene" and "Siren Song." Real good and underrated, and still in print. You can have it new off most any site for under $10.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 4, 2010 at 12:01
A classic metal album, probably not a killer release but it has the sparks of the raw mid 80's metal acts (the bands that wanted 2 keep it true, you know what i mean)..."Metal Of Honor" is a highlight, solid song a the name says it all,"Hard As A Rock" and "Child Of Sin" are very good tracks and add to that "Hell To Pay" and "Queen Of The Scene" the other left tracks are good except probably the last 2 songs "Glad All Over" and "Siren Song" which are just ok...If u like Krokus and U.D.O then you'll like this one as Mark Tornillo's voice is an hybrid of Marc Storace (Krokus) and Udo Dirkschneider...and guess what Accept is gonna release a new album this year 2010 and you know who they have selected as the new man on the mic???...Mr Tornillo himself!!!..good luck Mark in this new adveture!!!.82/100
