These guys rock like no other Christian Rock band. While they may not have achieved the commercial success of Stryper their songs are no less inspiring and moving. It's a Jungle Out There is simple one of the best Christian roch anthems ever recorded.

From: Harry Date: November 2, 2001 at 7:29
Move Over Stryper,Petra,& Guardian. These guys really know how to rock! If you love hard rock without the thrash sound, you'll not want to pass up hearing this band. These guys are the best hard rock band ever!

I want to know, how can I buy this record, and where can I find it.

From: cesar diaz Date: December 26, 2001 at 17:05
I think that this is a great band, that´s what I want to buy their records, and if I can´t, they have to come here in person and sing for me OK !

From: Duardo Date: February 25, 2002 at 2:30
One of the greatest Christian Rock albums ever made. Awesome debut effort. Their folloe up is good too, but nowhere near the quality of this record. Easy 10!

From: Chad Date: May 6, 2002 at 13:58
Now if you are interested in finding one of these CDs. You'll have fast for about 2 weeks and pray to God with all your heart & soul, and since God parted the Red Sea for Moses, He might just help you locate one in the Jungles of the USA.

From: Yancy Date: December 19, 2002 at 20:44
The reviews are all true. These guys rock. I was lucky enough to buy their cd's when they were new, and they still hold up to the best stuff being put out today...

From: thragnamee Date: January 4, 2003 at 21:00
I hate that I did not buy this CD when I had the chance! This is a pure Christian Band! If anyone cares Kansas's album "final overture" Is more or less a Christian record. John Elefante does lead on this project. One song in particular is re-released on an album from a band called Nouveaux. Produced by John Elefante. I only can pray for a new Mastedon CD. So can you. Look on Kazaa for music from Mastedon. It's out there! God Bless!!!

From: thragnamee Date: January 4, 2003 at 21:07
I was wrong on the title of Kansas's album. The title was "Vinyl Confessions" not "Final Overture". Sorry!!

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 1, 2003 at 12:48
Fantastic christian band indeed. They mix pomp with AOR, genial ! The Elefante brothers are the masters of christian AOR/pomp and together with Idle Cure, some Petra and some Whiteheart records they're the top. Checq also pronto their second masterpiece 'Lofcaudio'. Not to miss too ! Amazing stuff !

From: Fernando Date: July 31, 2003 at 17:53
Yo tengo una copia original de cada disco, y la verdad es que definitivamente son unos maestros.

From: Harry Date: November 13, 2003 at 16:20
No music collection is complete without this CD. It is a must to have! Average eBay price($32.00+), and will keep going up,up,up in price. My copy, I consider priceless! "It's A Jungle Out There" is a perfect gem of music to anyone who likes- Petra,Stryper,Guardian,Barren Cross, etc... BUY IT NOW! While you can! ROCK ON!

From: robert Date: December 20, 2003 at 12:58

A mix of different vocalists with great melodies make this CD a keeper! Each of the 5 vocalists featured on the album are great, from David Robbins on the title track to John Elefante on several. This CD is very hard to find. When you find it, get it. I wish I had.

From: Chris Date: March 6, 2004 at 18:42
Worth buying for the excellent vocal work of Elefante and the awesome 'Get Up'. What a tune.

From: Davison Bullock Date: July 16, 2004 at 18:59
Picked up a used copy In excellent condition on CD in a record exchange in Romford, England. Nearly dropped dead on the spot when I spotted it nearly 10 years ago. Completely blown away. This MUST be in your collection. Excellent vocals, lyrics and music. ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!!!! If you find it tell the missus you must have it at whatever the cost. AVE IT!!!!!!!

From: AOR freaky Date: July 17, 2004 at 15:18
Damn right, Davison Bullock ! This is class all written over it ! Great, great stuff : it's not only AOR, but also pomp what the Elefante bros offer us here ! BRILLIANT ! And where is the new one, as someone promised ? ? ? ? !

From: Wayne Date: August 26, 2004 at 7:21
I used to have both of these incredible albums. I never got them when they came to CD, tho', and don't know what happened to my record and cassette copies. How foolish of me!

From: Wayne Date: August 26, 2004 at 7:22
Lately I've been thinking about these albums (esp "Jungle"), and really wanting to find a copy somewhere to listen to!! Having withdrawals years later!!

From: Larry Date: September 25, 2004 at 10:49
Bought both the Mastedon - Jungle and Lofcaudio in the same week on Ebay. These two cd's are classics. My favorite is the Jungle album because it seems to have a cutting edge along with it's deep melodic rhythms. I highly recommend these albums to fans of Stryper, Holy Soldier, Petra and the likes. Don't get me wrong. This is not an ordinary or style you can pin point to any particular group. This group is extremely original and would be a masterpiece for any collector.

From: Date: October 21, 2004 at 16:27
I can get copies of both on CD. email me at d.kpalmer@rogers.com

From: oliver Date: February 8, 2005 at 9:27
although the (very reliable) melodic rock bible rates the lofcaudio better than this one, i think this has the same qualities. brilliant uptempo melodic rock with great chorusses and huge keyboards. no fillers here and absolutely worth buying. 9/10

From: Ali_Rock Date: February 16, 2005 at 7:56
Is there two versions of this album? A re-issue maybe becaus I have 12 songs on my disc. hhmmmm, strange

From: Lennie Date: April 13, 2005 at 13:56
The best thing about this album is that you have 3 different vocalists in John Elefante, Dave Amato and Perry Lee who offer different styles from real pomp to straight ahead melodic rock...every song is excellent and the musicianship is right on song. An absolute essential purchase

From: poproxx2007 Date: September 5, 2006 at 19:25
Pure melodic AOR bliss!! One of the greatest Christian metal releases ever!! 10/10

From: wilmerAORespinas Date: October 13, 2006 at 16:40

From: juan carlos Date: December 5, 2006 at 23:28
"Get Up" otro temazo y siguen.. Gran disco. 8.8/10

From: SangreAzulForever Date: June 11, 2007 at 9:33
Fucking incredible work! 10/10

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 2, 2007 at 6:09
GREAT CD 97/100 AMAZING

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 12, 2008 at 11:08
Hard Rock meets Aor in the most elegant way...perfect combination of the 2 harmonies..."Glory Bounds" (superb),"Innocent Girl","Shine On" and so on...maybe is not the best album ever recorded in life but the 42 dollars in Ebay are worth spent.85/100

From: robertigno Date: November 26, 2009 at 15:03
When metal and hard rock swept the nation in the early 80s to the mid 90s, it even caused a stir in the contemporary Christian music scene. The old school bands like Petra and Whiteheart ratcheted things up a little heavier, but what was wonderful was seeing truly unique bands like Mastedon, Whitecross, Bloodgood, Barren Cross, and, of course, Stryper erupt out of nowhere onto the metal scene. That being said, "Lofcaudio" is Mastedon's second cd, originally released in 1990 I AM SELLING MY COLECTION THAT I INCLUDE THESE GREAT ALBUMS. if you are interested on purchase these cds come to join me to ( http://christianmusic-musiconsale.blogspot.com/ )

From: Danielovich Date: December 20, 2009 at 3:06
It's a good album, but it doesn't hold a candle to "Lofcaudio", which is his masterpiece. 7/10

From: shoemaker Date: January 4, 2010 at 13:17
I wish David Robbins were the singer on all tracks. Some are very strong, and others are cheesy.

From: Delbert Date: January 4, 2010 at 14:11
An outstanding hard rock/AOR supergroup which was produced by the Elefante brothers, this debut is filled with lots of killer guitars, monster hooks, big choruses, loud backing vocals and high-energy songs. I refer to their sound as AOR meets metal and they remind me of the band FORTUNE (US Band from 1985) meets GLORY.

From: MetalllianStallion Date: January 16, 2010 at 4:58
Finally last 11/6/09 we have a reissue of this bad boy on Frontier Records with 3 bonus tracks. The best song period IMO being 'Wasn't it Love' which should have been included on the 1989 Regency release. It was originally on 1987's 'California Metal vol. 1' which I have but isn't on this site. 'California Metal vol. 2' contains 'Get Up' and both compilations are worthy of being added on HH. My only minor criticism is that I was not too keen on Dave Robbins singing lead vocals for ' It's a Jungle out there' as I would have just assume heard John sing it all. This release has enough rockers to be categorized Christian melodic hard rock compared to the bands latest C-AOR offering '3'. In my top 5 CMHR releases now with the new 13 track release which can be found at nehrecords.com.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 9, 2011 at 12:44
Comes charging out of the gate with the title track and proceeds to serve up a wooly mammoth-size helping of 80s-style Christian commercial hard rock. This CD's place in the upper ranks of C-rock history is eternally assured, a total classic. All the requisite ingredients are accounted for: loud guitars, razor-sharp hooks, big choruses, thick backing vocals, and professional production (courtesy of the Elefante brothers). A couple of weaker songs ("Island in the Sky" & "Shine On") keep this from a perfect score, but boy does it come close.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 19, 2011 at 13:12
one of the best christian rock record?it is a joke!listen bloodgood "all stand togheter",petra "beyond belief",legend seven, legend, holy soldier "last train" ect ect .all these records have level very very superior to mastedon.the first song "it s a jungle..."is awful.the voice of the singer is a nightmare.he is a poor clone of tom kiefer (cinderella).the others singers are better (it is not difficult).the best song is track 11 (a bonus track!).track 6 and 7 are great so.but the rest .hum it is very average, even if the production is good.i respect all the advice but here i don t understand the others comments.nevertheless best regards from france.
