| Intense guitar playin from Reb Beach and overally dark approach...this is what we get here...i;m not a fan of Doug Pinnick vocals and King's X either( i consider the best song here the one sang by Kelly Keagy) but this isn't bad..this would be great follow up to Winger's Pull but ofcourse with Kip vocals, not bad but could be much better IMO...

| well, I love Kings X and I love this album, give it a chance, it is as catchy as heck and probably the most melodic stuff Doug has ever sang and his voice fits these songs nicely, the first four tracks go by quickly, One Track,(wow, what an opener) Wait, Magic, and I will follow. Check out the screams on a few ending parts, amazing vocals. Magic is sung by Kelly, and to me does not break up the mood at all, at the 5th track, we get a little intermission solo, and then back to the good stuff. Nev

| Never is a great tune with a smokin lead guitar, just great, Turn to Stone is a great one as well as No reason. The instrumental is good but I would of prefered another vocal tune. The last song is just acoustic and I wonder what it may be like with more instrumentation. The only downside is that the cd is on the short side with 2 instrumentals and the last acoustic song, but, other then that, I think it is amazing and it now takes a place in my top 4 of the year!!!

| I also wouldve preferred Kip Winger to sing,he just wouldve suited this material better. That said, the album doesn't flow at all. The first-half never gets going & its only from track 6 this really picks up. Then its excellent (before the pointless instrumental) but closer "I Want to Live Forever" is utterly brilliant & haunting like KINGS X at their very best. But,2 ballads & 2 instrumentals leave only 7 rock songs - & the album is too stop-start as a result. Could've been better IMO. 7.5/10.

I also would have preferred Kip on vocals, but I don't mind the vocals here at all. I'm more concerned about the lack of great songs. There's some pretty decent hard rock here, but when the shop closes at the end of the day I only walk away with 'Magic', 'Love will carry on' as a very nice ballad and 'Turn to stone' as a cool melodic rocker. Aside from that I can pretty much leave the rest alone. Decent hard rock, but I'd prefer to hear a new Winger disc.

| Hmm. . ., not sure about this one ! It's all a bit too modern for my liking and indeed, where the hell is that new Winger record ? Don't understand why swriter, a man with taste, is rating this one that high. I also like King's X a lot, but this is not half as good as any King's X album or Winger album. I'm not convinced ! One of the weaker Frontiers releases of the last months !

| well, if you yahoo's would listen to the cd more than once you may just get it! being a fan of both kings x and winger the vocals and production is spot on. i here you all talking about the flow of the record and if you genisus would give it more time you would see the flow! this is a great record with dougs vocals and rebs playing making it different than a winger cd. and aor freaky what do you mean modern? this is just a very good hard rock album. you must be listening to too much pussy aor! a
