For all the fans out there that preferred their older style from the early 80's. This album ws very good. back to the bluesy rock of Whitesnakes first albums.

I've only heard the title track and I really like it. Is the rest of the album up to par? Its kinda pricey; I'd hate to buy it just for one good song.

The whole album is great. It's all very bluesy. It is a great album. (pricey? I had this one very cheep , but that was in the Netherlands)

I'm not into blues, but this album is really great. Don't be scared if you don't like blues, you will like this album. I think i like this even better than 1987 album.

Just goes to show - David Coverdale can go from one extreme to the next. He sounds fantastic as a soul/blues singer, and always has. It's a refreshing change from the 1987/Slip Of The Tongue *power ballad* phase - truly awesome. Steve

This goes back to their blues sounding albums. I am not too big of a fan of this style, but there are still good songs such as the title track. 6/10

A return to his bluesier Whitesnake-days. Yes I say this is not a band record, but David Coverdale project. I liked the idea when I heard it but couldn't quite find the clue. Don't know why I didn't like this so much. 6/10,in Whitesnake scale, 8/10 otherwise. So let's give it 7/10.

If you looking for american hard rock, forget about this album!It was made for the old fans in south america,europe and other places where it was released.But some songs like Too Many Tears, Don't Fade Away and song title, could be in any Whitesnake album.

Amazingly enough, this cd starts out with a killer ballad & continues to dazzle through track #3, then sporatically throught. Overall, not essential but well worth wading through for the highlights.

A good time to revisit the Snake with the soon to be released Forevermore (early listens hint success), Restless Heart was as many above (and years ago - always find that weird) have already said, a very good rootsy album. Highlight has to be lead track Don't Fade Away, a subtle but crucial moment in the Whitesnake semi-ballad catalog, a tremendous cruising the sunny highway if there ever was one... title track hits well enough and the reworked Too Many Tears is as good as before... the final minutes of Crying return to 80's bigtime Whitesnake but when all is said and done the album has little to do with that era and is more in tune with Coverdale's earlier works. So while carries handful of great tunes overall album ain't exactly brilliant but worth your coin if this is your cup o tea! Still, soft spot for this one and as far as blues Snake goes I'd sooner go here but is good enough to be essential for those needing the best of the catalog.

fantastic release by WHITESNAKE, and a great come back after the 2 hair metal previous releases.this is more laid back ,bluesy hard rock music with much quality,groove and style.the musicianship is excellent and the songwriting of the highest level.listen to :"woman trouble blues","take me back again","you re so fine" and "all in the name of love"!you should really dig this underrated gem

This album is more of a mellow bluesed release rather than anything else,i'd say an introspective one of Mr Coverdale..ironically the japanese bonus tracks "Anything You Want","Can't Stop Now" & the instrumental "Ol" are the ones that cheer it up because even though some other great tracks such as "Don't Fade Away"(nice),"Restless Heart","Too Many Tears","Can't Go On" & "Woman Trouble Blues" are probably excellent ones among others(these were my faves) do not match the energy of the aforementioned 3 bonus ones(is a personal opinion obviously)...if you want some relax then have this record...84/100

As written here many times, this is bluesy hard rock with an excellent vocalist. If you like Coverdale's cooperation with Page or his solo album "Into the light" or simply early Whitesnake you will probably like "Restless heart" too. Those ones, however,who like their late 80s more (like me) might object to being slow/mid-tempo songs in the majority. Anyway, quality is guaranteed. 80/100.

I picked this album up used back in 2006 and over time it has become one of my favorite Whitesnake albums. It sounds like DC went back to the early WS roots on this one with a bluesy feel. I wish WS would put out another album like this as I think his voice live would really fare better on songs such as this. Plus they could delve back into the early WS history (pre 1987) for an awesome setlist. I love all eras of Whitesnake and was fortunate to see the band in 87 at the height of their popularity. The 1987 lp will always be a favotite but I find that the older I get I prefer the 70's Whitesnake lps a little more.
