| The first thing that i have to comment on here is song lengths-most weighing in at a hefty 6+ minutes, making this cd well over the hour mark for 10 tracks - way too long. The second is that it may be a little one paced for some people, not that much variation. With those two negatives aside,I can still say that this is an excellent slice of Journey styled AOR. The star of this is undoubtedly Steve Harris, whose guitar playing is monumental throughout. Not as good as 'Unfinished' though.

| From reasonable to real good songs, here ! And the over the hour mark and song lenghts are ALWAYS a big Plus point for me ! The best tracks are always the longest tracks ! See epic songs by Styx, Hounds, Legs Diamond, Shooting Star, Creed, New England, Kansas etc. etc. Not a fantastic one, but certainly worth your attention !

| maybe this one is a little bit more guitar oriented than their last effort "unfinished business", but hey....this is a great album even though...or as the guy above says, absolutely worth your attention...

| Rectifico...Después de unas escuchadas más me parece que la producción es mejor que cuando lo oí por primera vez. Lo que parece es que las guitarras van a su bola. Me explico; me recuerda muchísimo al "corridors of Windows" de los Storytellers, donde las guitarras no se fusionaban con el resto del acompañamiento. Parece como si se hubiesen grabado en lugares diferentes y luego (en la producción) se hubiesen juntado...

| what production this one has!!! wowow, wish I can say the same of the music, very good and Journey sounding all musicians and vocals are good, just not grabbing me all the way. Great guitar work on this one. The songs are between 5 - 7 minutes and may be a bit too long. Not bad but for me, not a main stay, I will keep listening!!!

| This one takes a few more listens to get into than "Unfinished Business" did, and even then it's just not as memorable or consistent as that disc. It is still flawlessly performed and superbly produced, and anyone who's been picking up the recent batch of pure AOR releases: Greenhouze/Final Frontier/Outland/Mysterell/Tommy Funderburk/James Christian etc, should certainly add this to their collection also. 8/10.

| A new good album from the AOR-machine Shy. If you liked "Unfinished business" you will probably like this one too, even if I think this one is a little bit too long for it's own good sometimes. Enough said, if you're into SHY and Tony Mills and want something a little bit more mature in addition to "Excess all areas" this is a must buy!

| After purchasing Unfinished Business I was looking forwrad to this new release. I find it is an excellent Cd however it does lag on and the songs are way too long. Still overall a great sounding Cd and the first track is awesome. Still a disapointment compared to Unfinished Business!!

| Agree with all but AOR Freaky. Before I comment on the disc, I must say that there is a huge difference between an "epic" song (eg. 'Song and Emotion' by Tesla or 'November Rain' by G N'R) and a song that just drags. It is a whole different style of writing. These songs are just your standard 2 verse / 3 chorus and solo - there is no need to go as long as they do. This album is very good. It would be excellent if each song came in about 4 mins.

| Okay, and to my thoughts on the disc... Shy have definately found a song-writing groove, and the songs here are very nice slabs of melodic rock, very similar in quality to 'Unfinished business'. 'High time', 'Don't jump the gun' and 'Walk through fire' are clear highlights for me - killer tracks, and the rest do drag on way too long but I like Shy and their songs anyway. I just hope they start recording songs this good at 4 mins long for future releases because everything else here is excellent.

| like a lot of the comments on here I too think the songs are way to long than they need to be. A lot of it seems like filler but I really like all the songs for the most part. Tony Mills kicks ass and has a classic AOR sound to his voice. Like his work on Northern Light also.

| Listen everybody, if the song is good enough to be two minutes longer then so-be-it. I just listened to the CD and I didn't notice the songs were longer. There aren't really any unnecessary "intros" or "outros", there's just good music. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of songs and the production. An absolutely SUPERB release.

| I've said it on unfinished business and I keep it now too! WHERE THE H### ARE THE KEYS????? I guess they had to change him because it was a waste to keep him and not to use him. Said that: good solid release with a Tony Mills unstopable and ALWAYS GREAT!!!! But to be honest I wouldn't bother too much cause it sound too modern for my tastes. Bring back the "Excess all areas" sound again please!!!!!!

| A very nice AOR album for sure, but not as good as Excess All Areas, Welcome To The Madhouse and Unfinished Business IMO. Two important members from the original line-up are also missing: the excellent drummer and background singer Alan Kelly and the keyboardist Paddy McKenna. This album would have been even better if these two Shy guys had also been involved in the recording process. Also check out: http://shy-england.4t.com An interesting reading!

| Un disco que me sorpredió por sus canciones ultra-melódcas mas por el sonido de las guitarras. De hecho te va a encantar este disco si eres fan de melodic rock/AOR aunque con algunas, ya varias escuchas pues me quedo con 2 temas matadores como es "jump the gun" y "walk through fire" grandes canciones que son mis favoritas del año 2005. En segundo rango estan "high time" "open your heart" "i will be home tonight" y "slowly". Atención a los solos.. super melódicos. Super recomendado 8.8/10

| This is nit their best, but you need to get it, becouse it conteins very good songs, like WHERE IS THE LOVE, I`LL BE HOME TONIGHT, JUMP THE GUN, SLOWLY and WALK THROUGH THE FIRE. It`s not a classic ( like EXCESS ALL AREAS ), but if you`re a fan, you know ....

| Buen disco aquí Shy demuestra que son excelentes músicos, las canciones son muy buenas, lo único que criticaría es que son demasiado largas; claro que lo que más nos interesa (al menos a mí)es la calidad más que la cantidad, de alli el album es muy bueno, grandes solos de guitarra muy melódicos, grandes baladas:Where is the love,i´ll be home tonight;slowly (me recuerda a Ten por el comienzo),medio tiempos grandioso:Walk through fire mi favorita con un punteo grandioso,Don´t jump... otro temazo.

| what a great new release by rocksters SHY!while many bands try a new approach ,SHY write and perform good,solid melodic hard rock.tony s voice sounds terrific and steve harris prooves that he is one of the best guitarists of the genre.this contains great hooks and tunes and many great songs like "high time","first love" and "slowly".surely a must have

| The last album recorded with Tony Mills on vocals and what a one!!!...great melodic tracks ...my favourites are "High On Time","Where Is The Love"(nice),"You Could Be Dreaming","Don't Jump The Gun","First Love","Walk Through Fire" & "Slowly"...pretty recommendable album if you are into the very melodic sound of rock,not edgy guitars but obviously catchy hooks!!!.90/100
