GOOD CD nice MELODIC METAL with some hints of AOR/PROG !79/100 FIRST CD WAS HUGE But the element of surprise is not there this time , and i was expecting much more ! Pekka HEINO is very talented and sometimes HE sound like a young JORN LANDE and he is for sure the ACE of the band & guitar players are OK too ! I hear less PROG and more CLASSIC hard ROCK influences so i think the album sound more mature ! Like in the first CD there is absolutely no trace of TRAD. FINNISH POWER METAL which is

I don’t quite understand all this fuzz about “Tides”, Leverage’s debut, and how difficult it would be for them to outweigh it. As far as I’m concerned, their debut was a solid metal effort, but it wasn’t to be compared with classics of the same genre, like Masterplan’s “Aeronautics”, for example. On the contrary, Leverage’s second album, “Blind Fire” has the potential to carry out successfully, as they have already developed their sound in a big way.

Although, not every song worth the same credit, songs like “Shadow in the Rain” with its Kamelot-like timbres, the sublime “Stormchild” that brings back many memories of Yngwie Malmsteen & early Europe, the spooky “Hellhorn” with its predominated over Rainbow intro, plus the huge chorused “Sentenced” & “Heart Of Darkness” and finally the power ballad “Don’t Touch The Sun” are the tracks that really make the difference. Fine release indeed.
