Great CD, solid rock&roll and graceful ballads. Dont know what happened to this band. Worth buying.

From: Stacy (Again) Date: March 27, 2001 at 22:03
yeah, me again...I would be interested in what happened to this band. If you know email me stacy@powersurfr.com

From: Barbara Date: June 5, 2001 at 13:11
Hey I would like to know what happened to this band as well - Used to be one of my favorites - If you find out email me at montana10@hotmail.com

I loved these guys and they disapeared... ;-( And I lost my CD to boot so if you know how I can get my hands on one or any info on the group let me know. Relisea@yahoo.com

From: Janxy Date: June 14, 2001 at 6:36
I found this band thru napster and subsequently bought the album on e-bay. There's almost no info I can find on them anywhere so far. I did manage to find a stack of unreleased?? songs by the band most of which are sheerly awesome and are the next progression from the released album. Did they lose their contract after recording another album+ of material??? That's the question. Please info me anything about the band: mrjanx@hotmail.com

From: Rene Date: July 16, 2001 at 10:16
This band same with Bon Jovi in the 80s. Crush is very cool, true romance is great ballad and innocent kiss is a classic. If you like this style, Blue tears is pure hard rock. This cd is from 1990, is a of big albums in history from Hard rock. find it!!!

From: Mark Date: August 17, 2001 at 7:23
Great band, great CD. A fellow D2 fan recommended them, and I have to agree with the comparison. Has that clean, big sounding 80s production that has apparently gone out of style. If you like 80s melodic rock, buy it!

From: T-BONE Date: September 16, 2001 at 9:43
Good cd. It's a mix of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Very big sound and great vocals. I thought track 1 was Bon Jovi til I saw the cd. Track 2 sounds like a Def Leppard Hysteria track. Get this cd.

From: Rockhead Date: October 11, 2001 at 19:49
I accidently found this cd in a used bin. It's gotta be one of the better unheard of bands i've listened to. Like the guy above said, it's like a mix of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard

From: Frank Date: November 7, 2001 at 19:45
These guys ruled... Too bad they didn't go on to release the demos recorded after the freshman effort. Lead singer Greg Fulkerson went on to produce one of Michael Sweet's (Stryper) albums and plans on a return to the biz in 2001... Unfortunately, from what I've read, the new music is nothing like this CD!

From: Jo Date: November 12, 2001 at 19:11
This was my favorite band in High School. I saw a hotmail address with Montana10, I am also a Montanian so it must have been big up there. I often ask about them in big music stores (I live in Calif. now) and nobody has ever heard of them, which really suprises me....they are awesome.

From: chris c Date: November 15, 2001 at 12:53
Great CD. I can't seem to find any additional info on them but thanks for leaving us with a perfect sounding CD guys! Hope one day we'll here from you again!

From: koogles Date: January 1, 2002 at 11:29
Blue Tears is Bon Jovi humping Def leppard behind the high school bleachers. Wall of sound with all the hooks you can handle... well worth getting! You won't be disappointed!!

From: Martin Schabel Date: January 2, 2002 at 9:55
Even in Germany they are well known as the secret top tip of 1990. Ex-Blue Tears are now called Mayday Ground with Mike Spears and Gregg Fulkerson. Don't know what happened to the rest. Check out my band's site: www.devereaux.de .... you guys should love our song "Look into your Eyes" or "Dedicated". Cheers from Stuttgart in South Germany, Martin!

From: Martin Schabel Date: January 2, 2002 at 10:05

I HAVE OVER 3,000 CD'S IN MY COLLECTION AND THIS ONE IS IN MY TOP TEN. ITS ONE OF THOSE CDS THAT IS JUST PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. IF YOU LIKE BON JOVI, DEF LEPPARD, BONFIRE, ETC... YOU WILL LOVE THIS DISC. THIS IS THE MUSIC WE NEED BACK, MUSIC YOU CAN FEEL AND NEVER GET SICK OF.

From: james Date: January 19, 2002 at 11:15
Take Bon Jovi's slippery when wet and mesh it together with Def Leppard's Hysteria and you have BLUE TEARS. This is a great cd 9.0 out of 10

From: Jenni Date: January 24, 2002 at 15:04
These guys SUCK...you need to clean the wax out of your ears.

From: Reno Date: January 25, 2002 at 15:09
And you need to pull the shit outta your head. These guys kick ass. You obviously wouldn't know good music if it fell out of the sky, landed on your face and wiggled.

From: Jenni Date: January 27, 2002 at 17:37
Whatever...they sound like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard put together. Whatever happened to originality? This band needs to get their own fucking sound and stop imitating everyone elses.

From: angel fire Date: January 31, 2002 at 7:02
This band is fuckin'great. I found it in audiogalaxy.I want to buy the cd. This guys are simply fantastics. Great band.Sounds like Tyketto and Bon Jovi.

From: ted Date: March 30, 2002 at 19:55
fantastico cd de hard AOR muy parecido a def leppard con toques a bn jovi y al primer cd de michael sweet. imprescindible

From: Tony Date: April 11, 2002 at 3:56
Pretty good undiscovered gem here. The Tyketto, Bon Jovi mix comparison is right on. Whne the songs are good they're GREAT but when they're average they're very mediocore. Still WELL worth getting.

From: dokken6008 Date: April 13, 2002 at 2:42
When I 1st listened to Blue Tears, the bands I thought they were similar to are Def Lep, Bonfire and quite a bit of Autograph influence. As much as all of you guys seem to love this album, I can't really say the same. The synths are overdone and are not executed anywhere near as good or tastefully as Autograph had done in the past. There is some Bon Jovi and Winger (unfortunately) influence thrown into the mix here, so this isn't one of the most original cds you will have bought, either. 8.2/10

From: motley Date: April 24, 2002 at 2:25
Only heard them at the Rock Cafe in hamburg and was blown away! Really same style as Def Leppard. Totally great!!!!!!Hope to catch a cd with them somehow...

From: Reno Date: May 3, 2002 at 0:20
I loved this cd. Huge wall of production as most 80's hair bands had it. Hints of Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and yes...Winger too. Very well put together cd. Great guitar riffs and melodies. This is a cd to throw in the car and drive to.

From: Juan Esteban Date: June 2, 2002 at 10:45
Este albun es espectacular. Es el pleno sonido rockero de los 80 y los 90. Rockin´with the radio es mi favorita y recomiendo una balada que se llama open your heart.

From: WidoMakr Date: June 6, 2002 at 20:04
Anyone have any more info on these guyz??? They had to put out more than one album...heard a tune "Rock You To Heaven" damn..what a kick ass tune...the layers of music on this song is awesome.THIS IS WHAT MUSIC was supposed to sound like...any info would be appreciated...Quote the WidoMakr....never more

From: T-BONE Date: June 6, 2002 at 23:41
They never did another cd after this one from what I know WidowMakr. I went to Audiogalaxy and got a shitload of songs that sound like demos. Some sound pretty good and others are a little rough, but you can tell it's them. Here's some titles for you to look for: Date With Destiny, Dangerous, Do You Want Me, Everywhere I Go, Girl Crazy, Kisses In The Dark, Live It Up, Long Way Home, Love To Shame, Slip & Fall (Every Mothers Nightmare also did this tune), Storm In My Heart, and Wils Wild Ride

From: WidoMakr Date: June 7, 2002 at 4:46
Thanks T-Bone...thats what I did before I wrote that request and found enough stuff that I thought their must have been another 2 albums or so....whatever...if u havent already download Rock You To Heaven...great tune...Quote the WidoMakr....never more

From: CottonC.Lover Date: June 8, 2002 at 1:58
Great CD.....9.5 outta 10 at least. Only band to match Def Leppard's harmonies. Shoulda' been bigger. Best hair metal band I've ever heard (remember, hair metal and glam metal are two totally different thingz...)

From: Zafra Date: June 13, 2002 at 15:31
Me gusta mucho este disco.Es una pena que no haya mas discos de esta genial banda

From: dokken6008 Date: June 27, 2002 at 5:05
This stuff is just kind of cheesy. Some of it seems to be perhaps more cheesy than what I have heard from.......... Winger (gasp!). Besides the first tune, "Thunder In The Night" is perhaps the best tune on the entire cd. I'm still rather surprised reading all of the positive response to this cd but I guess I just don't get it...

From: Cotton C. Lover Date: June 29, 2002 at 6:16
Yeah, it's totally cheesy. Unabashed hair metal at its finest. Totally been done before. True Romance, Crush, and Blue Tears are all great song in the Hair Metal spectrum. Great while being somewhat unoriginal at the same time.

From: dokken6008 Date: July 12, 2002 at 7:04
I guess what I'm trying to say is that 'Blue Tears' just isn't one of those cds you blast out of your car windows. I'll go with an album like 'Tangled In Reins' or pretty much any L.A. Guns or AC/DC material for that type of occasion. XYZ even. "Inside Out"--DAMN. Love that riff.

From: Goodyear87 Date: September 8, 2002 at 23:07
Muy bueno, imposible no compararlo con una mezcla de Bon Jovi con los coros a lo Def Leppard.Hair Metal de 80s late."Rockin´with the radio" y "Innocent Kiss" logradisimas.Joder no se porque hoy en dia no pueden seguir apareciendo grupos asi, una pena.

From: purrfect kat Date: September 9, 2002 at 3:27
I LOVE this cd!! . . . I have their unreleased demo cd too but I am alittle suspicious of it cuz the song called "Slip and Fall" sounds exactly like Every Mothers Nightmare so I have to wonder if the unreleased cd is legit.

From: Reno Date: September 9, 2002 at 3:40
he song Slip And Fall was also done by Every Mothers Nightmare Kat. Listen to the chorus...they're different.

From: jhonnyrocker Date: September 16, 2002 at 5:44
Simply one of the best cd i have ever heard..there are so many catchy choruses that i thought i was dreaming...they should have been at the top...forever!great '80 hair metal, the ballads blow me away GREAT GREAT GREAT

From: Janxy Date: September 21, 2002 at 1:20
As far as I can tell the lesser quality tracks were demos Gregg was optioning off. Wild Wild Ride became Loud Guitars, Fast Cars... by Contraband. Parts of other songs might have been cannibalised by artists who wanted them. The must have professional tracks and the order they go in are: Call My Name, Date With Destiny, Our Love Is Strong, Storm In My Heart, Kisses In The Dark, Live It Up, Rock You To Heaven, Long Way Home. Only 8 tracks but what an awesome album they make. Our Love is Strong!!!

From: purrfect-kat Date: September 21, 2002 at 8:22
Janxy. . I take it You are speaking of their demo cd which was released by MCA Records . . I own this cd and their are 17 songs on it. . . Why would he option songs off and get no credit for any of them from other bands?

From: Janxy Date: September 23, 2002 at 11:12
When a whole song is bought, writing credit is assured. When hooks or lyrics are cannibalised then it comes down to amount used, crediting legalities, bargains struck and money exchanged. Who knows what happened to these tracks. I was just commenting on something Reno mentioned. Anyone know of any of the other demo songs and their re-recording? Kat, please submit the demo album details so HH has a log of its existance. I'm sure others are just as interested to see it. Click on Add CDs top left.

From: Kain Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:03
OK...let's see if I can answer a few ?'s. First, this band came out of a small town University near Memphis, TN. The "unreleased" songs are indeed demos before the released Blue Tears album. Gregg was big into video production at the University (along w/ his music) and did some work in the movie industry after graduation. Blue tears broke up (according to a professor I talked to) because one of the band members had an affair w/ another's wife...to be continued

From: Kain Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:08
Gregg's father was(is?) a professor at the same University Gregg attended. I agree their album is very, very good...I bummed a CDR burn from a girlfriend who went to college w/ Gregg. I took video production at the same University and accidentally found the video for "Rockin' With The Radio" on 3/4" tape that Gregg (or someone) must have accidentally left in the school's junk tape archive. I copied it to digital as soon as I found a 3/4" deck. I hear Gregg is working on a new project.

From: Kain Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:12
Coincidentally, the video for "Rockin' With The Radio" was filmed in the same college town and has footage of the local Sonic (where the guys get in a fight) and kids parading downtown in their cars and a dragrace. There are also shots of the band playing in the old university gymnasium.

From: purrfect-kat Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:32
Kain. . . . what do you want for the videos? . . . How many do you have? . . . email me if You want to trade. . . rocku4ever@hotmail.com

From: METAL 4 EVER Date: September 24, 2002 at 19:46
Hey Kain, I love Blue Tears and I would relly like a copy of the Video "Rockin with the Radio" I'm not going to ask you to trade me the original (But if you want to let me know), I just want a copy. I don't normaly offer CDr's but, in your case I will. I have some really rare Metal/AOR cds, and I can burn a couple for you if you would like. Blue Tears - s/t 10/10 Metal 4 Life

From: METAL 4 EVER Date: September 24, 2002 at 22:35
Oh yeah, my e-mail is, shandaren@juno.com

From: Kain Date: September 24, 2002 at 23:58
I don't have the "original," only a 3/4" U-Matic copy that I found in the school's "junk tape" pile. Judging by the number of scanlines at the bottom, I'd say it's 2nd generation (3rd to SVHS, 4th to Digital 8). Unfortunately U-Matic was Mono w/ no Dolby noise reduction so the audio sucks, the video is between VHS and SVHS grade. I ran it into my PC and am making a SVCD mpg. I redid the audio from CD and timestretched to match the mono...hope you like. I will not sell or trade the 3/4".

From: Kain Date: September 25, 2002 at 0:12
I'm kind of curious who and how the video was made. Granted it's 12 years old (as is my tape...grrr) but if you notice the way the lights streak...it looks like it was shot with old tube cameras (3CCD chip cameras don't do that). I wonder if they produced their own video instead of shooting it on film or was that just an effect the artist was trying to achieve (just like the grainy black and whites in the video)???

From: purrfect-kat Date: September 25, 2002 at 1:18
Kain Thanks for the email. . . . METAL 4 EVER I could be interested in trading with You . . . I have lots of Rare cds that You will never see on ebay or on PJ's website. . . . . rocku4ever@hotmail.com

From: TJ Date: September 25, 2002 at 9:52
JANXY, HOW AND WHERE DO YOU GET A HOLD OF THE DEMOS OR ANYTHING BY THESE GUYS. I HAVE THERE DEBUT AND ITS A FAV OF MINE.THANX IN ADVANCE!!

From: Janxy Date: October 3, 2002 at 21:52
All the unreleased stuff used to be available in the old napster, audio galaxy days. I don't know what the current music sharing app is; can someone point TJ and I in the right direction? According to melodicrock.com Gregg's new band is called Attraction 65. I have a couple of average sounding tracks that I believe were being recorded for that project but might not make the cut - they are 'Believe' and 'Every Time We Touch'. We really need to take this discussion to a forum somewhere!

From: TauTet629 Date: October 5, 2002 at 1:57
These guys went to college at Freed Hardeman university in Henderson,TN. It is a church of christ affiliated university. I saw them in concert in Jackson, TN back in the early 90's. They were going by the name Sahara then I believe.

From: Cotton C. Lover Date: October 18, 2002 at 6:28
Hey Kain. I'm a huge Blue Tears fan and would love a copy of that video. I have a ton of htf cds that I'd gladly make you cdrs of. Email me if you're interested at cottoncandylover20022000@yahoo.com and I'll send you a list.

From: JEM Date: November 5, 2002 at 17:18
TauTet629 is correct. I went to university with Gregg, Charlie, and Mike and at that time, they were called NonStop. The singer was Roger LaPointe, who sang in my band, Phoenix. They were much better as NonStop and I'm lucky enough to have a NonStop demo tape that is awesome! Much better, IMHO, than Blue Tears.

From: JEM Date: November 5, 2002 at 17:44
Kain, you have your facts straight, too. The last I heard is that Gregg lives in Nashville, has a recording studio in his house, and is working on something. Let's see what he comes up with.

From: T-BONE Date: November 5, 2002 at 22:19
Gregg Fulkerson and Mike Spears are working together on a band called Attraction 65. The other 2 members are Paul Zegelien on guitar and Ludo Baccherini on drums. Go to www.melodicrock.com for the press shot of the band.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: November 26, 2002 at 12:54

From: Terence Date: December 25, 2002 at 12:27
I like this band and the songs from their only album so much....but I couldn't find the CD anywhere in Singapore. Anyone knows which website(s) where I can download the songs from?

From: T-BONE Date: December 25, 2002 at 18:19
Terence, these cd's are all over eBay for a good price. Check there.

From: Scandinavia Date: December 30, 2002 at 22:17
Just found this album on CD...Great melodic hard rock!!! Leppard meets Jovi!!! The vocal inspirations are a bit too obvious though...A 9.5 from me...Just hits you in the stomach! Left me speechless for days...

From: Rycheage Date: January 2, 2003 at 2:08
Huge sound from a debut CD!! These guys should get back together considering the explosion of 80s metal reunions. They rocked!! "Rock On the Radio" forever!!

From: freddy de keyze Date: January 6, 2003 at 12:34
Wow, a lot of comments about this one. Good CD indeed, but not a classic one. There are better bands out there. But I've heard that these guys will be back this year with a new one. Does someone knows more ?

From: GRobertM Date: January 10, 2003 at 4:59
I kow nothing of the band's recent or future plans. However, Fulkerson's father was one of my professor's in college. I knew two of his younger brothers as well - more of as an acquaintance than good friends. I was in college when the first CD, Blue Tears was released. I agree with most of you that the sound is great. I never did understand why they did not take off. According to dad, they got great play in some places - as well as good reviews. Too bad I guess - music business is fickle.

From: Peter Poland Date: January 25, 2003 at 18:54
Really cool band, they got some awsome tracks, my fav is halfway to heaven

From: robert Date: January 25, 2003 at 21:55
es casi imposible q sea malo si es de ese año tan genial: 1990!! si q suenan a los Leppard si, y tambien alos Jovi d la 1ª epoca. Muy buen disco, ojala se hiciera esto ahora.

From: Rycheage Date: March 2, 2003 at 20:56
Excellent layered sound to this rockin' CD. "Rockin' With The Radio", Take This Heart" and "Innocent Kiss" rock!! "Halfway To Heaven" is a powerful ballad. Great CD. 9.5/10.

JEM, what are the songs on that demo tape? Is it the same as the demo tape floating around with "Our Love Is Strong", "Rock You to Heaven" etc? I would dearly love to get a copy of that if it is different. Gregg is one of the top songwriters there is!!

From: Gregg Date: May 2, 2003 at 22:43
We had a great time making this record...very young and pretty innocent at the time...thanks for all the nice comments...by the way, no one had an affair with anyone's wife in the band...and I don't work in the film industry...Mike and I are back with ATTRACTION 65...see Atenzia.com...some of these "mystery" tracks you all are talking about were just demos...but we've cut 3 or 4 of them for this record...thanks for all the nice commments...take care... I just got this album from ebay and I just saw the video for Rockin With The Radio. What a great album and what an awesome video, all of the girls and the cool cars cruisin down the street, that's what made the 80's so great. The album sounds like a Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Winger mix, I can't get enough of this album. I like just about every song, Rockin With The radio is my favorite and Halfway To Heaven is an awesome Power Ballad. This band should have been huge, but they got lost in the shuffl

From: Pam L. Date: May 12, 2003 at 5:16
I recently got this on Ebay. I love this cd! It kicks ass! Reminds me of a cross between Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. They should've made it big!

From: Daniel Date: May 15, 2003 at 8:36
It's another awesome 1 hit band. I wonder why there're so many one hit band who never make it big. Well, I guess they came out in the wrong time when alternative shit grunge music exploded in the early 90s. Yet, alot of people like me still appreciate listening to this AOR melodic 80s rock. One of the best CD's of all-time! 10/10, the guitarist from Spinal Tap would give it 11/10!! ;-) Awesome Lep-style harmonies on this one with a Jovi'ish voice. Can't wait for Attraction 65, thank God Atenzia had the sense to sign Gregg to a contract - what a monster songwriter!!!

From: Sugarbuzz Date: May 20, 2003 at 19:51
Hey JHONNYROCKER, whatever you are smoking, please pass it this way. Yet one more example of the cliche-fests that destroyed the 80's hard rock scene. Pretty sad too when a band names themselves after one of their own songs.

From: Horacio Date: May 27, 2003 at 18:06
One of the most overrated album in the melodic rock scene. Blue Tears stuff is good, and songs like Crush, Take this Heart, and Racing with the Moon, are pretty catchy to hum along, but the rest? The rest are songs for a quick consumption: you easy got them and easy forget them. This album is very hard to find so in my opinion, if you have lots of spare time, go search for it, if not, there are many better bands out there waiting for you.

From: King James Date: June 1, 2003 at 21:33
The crossbreed mix of Bon Jovi and post-Pyromania Def Leppard. Both of those bands too heavy for you? Then try out this weaker band. Ultra-light teenybopper heavy metal. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just so light.

On an unrelated note; Blue Tears vs Blue Murder? Blue Murder wins.

another gem that is pretty much undiscovered by masses that truely deserves to be. this would have been big hit in australia had it been given the right promotion / marketing. Here'sa toast to Attraction 65, welcome back to the scene Greg !

KBER In SLC Utah Played Both Rockin With The Radio And Crush WHen this album was first released in like i think it was 1990, MCA Dropped The Band The Album And Everything Related To it in early 1991, and we all can probably imagine why that happend, but David Cole Is a genius, I have never heard an album recorded quit like this one, the only rock album that I could think might be similar in sound would be the first Firehouse, i mean this cd is almost over polished, to the point where they probab

From: Fire Eyez Date: September 21, 2003 at 23:14
had a difficult time touring, since replicating the sound they have on the album live I think would be immposible, And Halfway to Heaven Is Without a doubt the best Ballad Ever, Anywhere!! I thought Jeff scott soto was untouchable with nobody said it was easy by EYES, this demolishes it, I dont think youll be sorry Investing in this cd, if you like firehouse, etc. Anybody thats heard their second cd knows what im talking about, as far as production. this Cd is 1 of a kind. and David Cole is God!

I just want to say that this CD does rock!! I went to high school with Gregg and followed Blue Tears thru their Non-Stop and Sahara days. I was in town the night they filmed the "Rockin.." video and I videotaped a concert they put on under the "big top" on Front Street. Unfortunately I don't have that tape anymore, but they rocked Henderson BIGTIME that night!! Haven't heard from Gregg in a long time, so if you read this Gregg, e-mail me at wikidlester@aol.com and let me know whazzup!!!!

People, People, People. This thing sounds like it is filtered through a synth set on "Hysteria in New Jersey". Are those those human voices or just manufactured gang vocals left over from 21 Guns? This thing is a desperate attempt by some exec to cash in on DefJovi. Pure bubblegum gak which is rendered ball-less when compared to Love/Hate or anything else post G-N-R. I found it used, and it will remain unused from now on.

From: 80sMetal1 Date: November 13, 2003 at 17:08
This cd is worth it alone for the huge, soaring choruses of Rockin With The Radio and Crush. Innocent Kiss is also a great song. The lead singer does heavily borrow from Jon Bon Jovi but this cd will be enjoyed by all melodic hard rock fans.

From: inxs Date: November 16, 2003 at 12:12
2 cents worth from sunny island Singapore .... if "Crush", "Blue Tears" and Halfway to Heaven" had been done by Def L, "Innocent Kiss" by Bon J, they would surely be huge hits! how good they are, let's just say they didn't have the luck.... this band really deserves more recognition. Back in the 90s high school days, while other rock acts were clouding the charts, blue tears was the spark that reminded many of my friends what rock music should really sound like!!!!! Great stuff!! Great effort!!

From: Kim Date: November 20, 2003 at 13:10

The first 2 songs are definitely influenced by Bon Jovi & Def Leppard. But the songs "Blue Tears" and "Take This Heart" strike me as kick-ass Blue Tears...period. Their own style and skill really some through on those 2 songs in particular. Blue Tears were by no means the only bands borrowing from the bigger names. This is definitely recommended for the AOR & melodic hard rock fan.

From: Vkalinisan Date: December 15, 2003 at 2:12
I went to College with this band. They are from Henderson TN. And started out as a college band, then progressed to a group named Sahara. After signing a record contract they renamed to Blue Tears. Last I heard, the lead singer Greg Fulkerson was living in Nashville. I have a lot of their unplugged music and it is awesome. They had one video that aired on MTV filmed in their hometown of Henderson.

When i hear Rockin' and Thunder i almost feel summer,girls,beer,sun,...these two songs are for me the cure on everything....If BT has received so big label support like Trixter they would be huuuuuge now....for me too many slow songs, two more rockers in vein of Rockin'and this would be the best of the best... Check out the demos cd....superb even with bad production... BTW True Romance starts like a christmas carol don't you think..?

If you're aching for some huge melodic hard rock with monster hooks, massive choruses, and some of the biggest backing vocals you'll ever hear, then this band will cure what ails you better than good sex cures blue balls. If the "Bon Jovi meets Def Leppard meets Winger" comparisons made by previous posters sounds good to you, then this CD will definitely bring a tear to your eye...yes, it really is that awesome, so go ahead and believe the hype.

From: T-Bone Date: January 6, 2004 at 19:07
I *HAD* all of Blue Tears demo's, but lost them when my computer did one of it's many famous crashes thanks to the idiots in the Gateway Tech Support squad. I lost about 7000 mp3's that I hadn't backed up on disk yet and these were some of them. Audiogalaxy was getting shut down at the time also so double whammy on me. All I remember about them was about 3/4 of them sounded very good and the rest were muddy.

If your looking for alot of obsolete and rare aor/hard rock/heavy metal give emule a try: http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1&rm=download it's where i find alot of stuff and share some of my own collection with others to. It's a good way to get to know what some of these bands sound like on this site. Have some patience emule is not like kazaa it could take a while before you get your full albums since your in queue with many other people.

From: magicmandala Date: May 29, 2004 at 11:02
It could take up to a week at times to get what you want depending how many people share the same file and other times you get it the same day or within a few days. The beauty of emule is the dicography's that you find you could download the all of Def Leppard's albums in one big file. Anyways it's all worth emule rocks.

From: dckiss Date: May 29, 2004 at 13:12
A week to get an album???? just get on Irc. and your looking at a few minutes to a few hours not a few days. I have both this album and the unreleased 2nd album both from irc. I have found just about everything I was looking for there. www.qwirc.com to get started it will take you a bit to learn the software but its well worth it. Emule is better than nothing but not the best option

From: magicmandala Date: May 31, 2004 at 16:53
The albums don't really take up to a week it's the discography's that take some time considering some are up to 1.69gigs and more so if your going to download AC/DC's discography it's gonna take sometime i don't always like the idea of leaving my computer on all day and night except the occasional time.

Just to show the kids out there that amidst all the bad reviews I just gave, there are albums I adore and this is one of them! Perfect mix of Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, but IMO done better than the two at the time. 'Rockin' with the radio', 'Blue tears' and the amazing closer 'Thunder in the night' are probably my faves, but aside from 'Crush' I absolutely LOVE every track. Killer album!!! I love it! 9.9/10

The only complaint I've ever had about this cd is that the choruses are sometimes way over-harmonized and you can't really tell what they're saying. His vocals also get buried in the mix on a few songs such as Racing With The Moon and Halfway To Heaven. Other than that, this cd rocks!

From: Marla Date: August 17, 2004 at 1:07
OMG...I can't believe I have never commented on this album!! I SO love this thing!!! I definitely see more of a JBJ reference in the type of vocals. Not so much the Def Leppard. This is WAY more (just slightly over) produced, IMO....but I'm NOT complaining!!! Favorite song on this is "Kiss Me Goodbye"...followed closely by "Crush". I would definitely go with a 9/10!

From: T-Bone Date: August 17, 2004 at 22:39
The Def Leppard comparisons are mainly because of the huge choruses in most of the songs and for the actual song Crush. It sounds very Joe Elliot in places as well as a step brother to the song Pour Some Sugar On Me in the way it's delivered and written.

From: Carmine Rose Date: August 19, 2004 at 16:35
This album is really, really awesome. Don't listen to the negative reviews, they're just tellin' tales outta school. You can tell right away they're influence by Bon Jovi and Def Leppard, hell some songs if I didn't know better I would have thought it was Bon Jovi. It's got the good-time Bon Jovi feel with the Def Leppard vocal harmonies. I give this album a 10.

Few thoughts: This is my all time favorite CD. Greg Fulkerson, the lead singer quit the music business after this album flopped. He was SO pissed off that this CD wasn't popular he just walked away. If I had personaly made a CD this good, I woulda been pissed off too. Last I heard he was helping produce albums, and having a had in the finishing music touches and lyrics of some obscure bands that play AOR stuff. They had quite a few B Sides (17) so if you like this band, get all their stuff.

From: gener8tr Date: August 27, 2004 at 17:32
They were on the wrong label, simple as that. MCA pushed Night Ranger, and that's about it as far as Melodic Rock went in the 80's and early 90's. Toss some Mercury money and a PolyGram label on this bad-boy back in 1989 and they're still playing today. Do you notice any similarities between Blue Tears and bands like Cold Sweat, Keel, Giuffria, Harline, Lillian Axe, Steelheart, Kane Roberts and Sweet F.A.? They were all under-utilized by MCA. Every one of those bands should have been huge!

From: gener8tr Date: August 27, 2004 at 17:34
... But instead, they all ended up in the cut-out bin. Think about it; Try finding Giuffria Silk & Steel, Cold Sweat Break Out or Lillian Axe on CD format without a notch cut or drill hole. It's damn near impossible... And same can be said for the Blue Tears CD. Shame on you MCA, shame on you!

From: Kip Date: August 31, 2004 at 0:04

Is interesting to read the Fulkersson interview on Melodicrock.com, he lost all his money, his house and his wife after this album flopped. No wonder he quite the music scene for a while! Lyrically the Attraction 65 stuff is miles ahead of this, but for crisp over-produced melodic rock this is one of the best. His vocals are too low in the mix, and "Take this Heart" and "Racing with the Moon" aren't as exceptionally good as the rest, but it's still excellent. 9/10.

Blue tears is currently thinking about a reunion. but don't get your hopes up on that happining. They lost there contract due to promotion problems or lack there of. Plus might I say check the dates of this album and hysteria this album came first so there wasn't much "ripping off" done by Blue Tears. And for all those wondering what happened to them they are alive and well and ready to play again the timing has to be right though.

From: David Date: October 14, 2004 at 2:11
What do you mean, the right timing?? They are one of the most talked about and sort after melodic hard rock band from the 80's!! The best timing on the releasing of new material or their second unreleased cd would be NOW!!!!! I know hundreds of people around the world that would water at the mouth with the prospect of new material. Or as Mikey Allen would say, they would have Blue Tears of joy!!

Musically they do sound like Bon Jovi/Def Leppard. A great sound. Vocally this band is weak. Maybe it was production or maybe it's the lead singer, but he doesn't seem to have the vocal range to pull off some of the songs. Hell, if I didn't have the lyrics I wouldn't understand half of the words. Great harmonies in the chorus. Worth the $3.oo I paid for it.

From: Dean Date: November 8, 2004 at 12:51
While this is a little too commercial for my tastes i can see the appeal. I see in the afore mentioned comments people were looking for a copy of the vid for "Rockin' with the radio." It can now be downloaded at http://www.rocktracks.de/pl/videos.pl. It costs 2.00 a month to sucribe but there's quite a few hard to find vids that get posted each month. Worth at least checking out. Awesome hard rock in the same vein as Bon Jovi! Would have been huge had it came out a few years earlier. Very catchy songs with big gang vocals in the choruses. True Romance is the big ballad, while Rockin' With The Radio, Crush, Innocent Kiss and Thunder In The Night are just huge arena rockers. Gregg went on to write for Michael Sweet on his debut(which was cool as well), and also formed a more modern Attraction 65 with Mike Spears. But nothing matched this amazing hard rock gem! 10/10....

You see they were very orginal. what the crap is this of course they sound like other bands you know. Why would they not sound like 80's rock like def leppard and bon jovi its the same genre of music. Unless any band that reminds you of another is copying, no they just have found a good thing in a band and makes it better. And i am sure they all copied each other that is a lie. And yes the 80's/90's was kidna of cheese but not back then. I mean they wore tight pants and drest like women, even do

I keep rembering all my favs everyday!!!!! This is a good one and agree with the Bon Jovi/Def comparisons. Blue Tears, Take this Heart, True Romance and Thunder r my favs but all are wonderful. Fantastic over the top harmonies and choruses and great production for an unknown band. A great album!!!!

Este album es increible, mis temas favoritos son "Rockin' With The Radio", "Innocent Kiss" y "Thunder In The Night", exelenteeee!!! La canción "Innocent Kiss" fue previamente grabada por Tim Karr para su album "Rubbin' Me The Right Way", no he escuchado esa versión asique no haré comparación. The song "Innocent Kiss" was previously recorded by Tim Karr in the album "Rubbin' Me The Right Way"

Great news David, and the soundbytes sound very good indeed. If you're looking for any other re-issues then please please can someone re-release (and re-master) ICON'S "More Perfect Union". I notice that "Night of the Crime" is coming out again later this year (on Derek Oliver/Dante Bonutto's label) but for all the hype it was "...Perfect Union" that was the killer album.

I got this album in 1996 and loved it. Just listened to the samples for M,B&D. Maybe too much time has past for me because it didn't really do anything for me. Didn't like the really slow ballads and the "rockers" were too cheezy. However, "Long way home" almost brought tears to my eyes it was sensational. "With you" was also class and "Kisses" was fantastic. That's it or me though, lot of money for 3 songs but I will purchase. The investment is worth it, this music must be kept alive.

I LOVE Blue Tears...I've been a fan since Sahara and Nonstop! Every single song is amazing! The vocals are awesome! I'm so excited they're coming out with a new album...a little upset that the entire band's not back together, but I'm sure it'll be great...Please support them and buy the new CD!!!! And Gregg, if you still read these, is it true that you weren't HUGE because Bon Jovi paid a bunch of radio stations not to play you?

From: Teer Date: July 10, 2005 at 13:14
Fantastic album !!! They hopefully can still make it big.

From: the game Date: October 5, 2005 at 10:49
Excellent Hard Rock CD from a very underrated band, Blue Tears.Their music is early Bon Jovi(very overrated band),early Def Leppard,Ratt and Firehouse thrown in.This band rocks throughout the cd. Gregg's vocals are awesome and the killer guitar playing and solo's of Charlie (Richie Sambora has lost the balls to play guitar IMO) makes this cd a must to get.Your get great vocals, loud guitars, and infectious choruses and songs. Just listen to Blue Tears,Take This Heart,Innocent Kiss. RATED 9.5/10.

From: mauricio Date: December 18, 2005 at 13:43
extremadamente dificil de conseguir.la produccion muy fuerte muy cañera.evidentemente a cargo de DAVID COLE(RICHARD MARX-VIXEN).es el disco que BON JOVI soñaria en sacar o es EL DISCO QUE BON JOVI NUNCA PERO NUNCA SACARON Y NI VAN A SACAR.sin embargo ESTE ES EL DISCO DE BLUE TEARS QUE MAS LES ECHO EN CARA A BON JOVI POR VENDERSE Y CAER TAN BAJO DESDE 1995 Y POR BURLARSE DE SUS VIEJOS FANS QUE SOMOS TODOS NOSOTROS,un disco muy potente Y muy rico en emociones de los casi 44 min de puro hard rock

From: mauricio Date: December 18, 2005 at 13:44
con la super apertura de ROCKING WITH THE RADIO,monstruosa y aplastante,la lenta CRUSH sonando a unos DEF LEPPARD MAS CAÑEROS.el tema titulo BLUE TEARS con esas guitarras acusticas cuando canta GREG FULKERSON en plan JON BON JOVI de la buena epoca,TAKE THIS HEART supertemazo mega-melodico y que decir de la preciosa HALFWAY TO HEAVEN y como recuerdo de un amor de verano INNOCENT KISS,la lenta de RACING WITH THE MOON & KISS ME GOODBYE rockerAs y TRUE ROMANCE la balada entre BON JOVI-DEF LEPPARD

From: mauricio Date: December 18, 2005 at 13:44
I think this is one of the most overlooked bands of this era. If you like feel good AOR rock music, this is the band for you. They should have been bigger than what they were. Nice to see they are back in business releasing new cd's. Can't say enough about this band! check this cool website about them. http://www.bluetearsmusic.com/

From: 80's Hard Rock Date: January 30, 2006 at 10:44
This is really a great band, one of the absolutely best AOR bands I've ever heard! Blue Tears is my favorite song from this album. If you like this band go to www.bluetearsmusic.com there is much info on the band and there's also they're video: Rockin' With The Radio! The band will release a brand new studio album this year, I hope that will be as good as the debut album!

Singalong choruses, good grooves, fine guitar playing are all resident on this release. My only complaint is it's a bit formulaic, but I like the formula so it's all good. 8/10

From: SCANDI Date: April 12, 2006 at 11:39
It's really formulaic.. My favourite here is the title song. I never liked the ballads of them too much (too 'american' I'd say) Everything else 'bout this one is said before: It's softer and more melodic DEF LEP, sing-along choruses, HUGE powerful sound. To sumarize it: Very near to the other 'unreleased' albums of them. 8,5/10 (not more 'cos they getting a bit boring due to my above mentioned critics --I like MAD, BAD.. even a bit better)

From: metalguf Date: May 12, 2006 at 11:19
I love this album. One of my all time favourites. A must have!!! If you love ballads like "Bed of roses" and "Always" with Bon Jovi, then you should check out "True Romance" and "Halfway to heaven". Also "innocent kiss" is good, but a ballad. They similar to "Wall of silence"

From: metalguf Date: May 12, 2006 at 11:21
"Innocent Kiss" is not a ballad. My mistake.

From: juan carlos Date: June 18, 2006 at 0:54

From: Butchwalkerulz Date: August 5, 2006 at 18:45
Now here is a band who take the best elements of Jovi and Leppard and made a great cd.Amazing Huge sounding album that should have been a hit

From: metalhead4life Date: November 8, 2006 at 20:41
Great CD. Big sounding all over. Like others have said, if you like Bon Jovi, Firehouse, and Def Leppard you should like this. A little sappy/fluffy but overall a good disc with good songs. Definitely worth having.

From: XabDeth Date: December 19, 2006 at 17:41
nada mas cuando pones el disco y empieza a sonar rockin whit the radio, valla, que emocion al escuchar este tema, todo el disco en si esta muy bien, siempre lo dire, que epoca....

From: shotgun messiah Date: July 19, 2007 at 14:59
If they had released their first album in the mid80's and they also had recorded 1-2 albums more at that period,I think that they would surely stood proud next to bands like Bon Jovi,Def Leppard and FM.Great album!!!

The best epitomi of bon jovi sound with def leppard grooves, a decent cd!

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: October 8, 2007 at 21:36

Very good release here. Great melodic metal. Fulkerson is amazing on this album. This bad had what it takes to be a supergroup but alas the onslaught of grunge music. I love to listen to this one driving down the road in the summer with the windows down. Just a great radio friendly disc with great hooks and choruses. A msut have for any melodic rock lover. If you like Bon Jovi, Firehouse, Amaze Me ect this is for you. 95/100

I have had one of these in my collection for years. One of the best I own, full of uptempo melodic rock/AOR, just the way I like it. It gets played ofter.

From: happy2849 Date: October 28, 2010 at 17:27
I pull this one out a little more often then others. For some reason every time I play it I find something else to like about. Great over-the-top choruses with a lot of melody.

Being more specific about my comment of 2005...this is what we call "happy Hard Rock"...very good album that showed very catchy tracks and a voice(Gregg Fulkerson that easily reminds us of a fellow named Jon Bon Jovi...rings a bell??? )that marked the style of what this band wanted to give..anyway talking about the songs we have in here top notch ones such as "Rocking With The Radio","Crush","Blue Tears"(power ballad),"Innocent Kiss"(poppy chorus),"Racing With The Moon" & "Thunder In The Night"(my personal fave)...Gregg Fulkerson shamely passed away in 2009...but what he left us here is a great piece of enthusiastic music...highly recommended album...94/100

This is a good cd,I only like a few songs on this one. Innocent Kiss,Crush, and Take This Heart.I know I'm In the minority here, but I'm not a fan of the ballads. I don't hate them or anything, just not a fan.

From: Leykis101 Date: March 17, 2013 at 23:18
Look folks, this CD as overlooked as it was, came out too late, plain and simple, I have discussed with the producer of this album Dave Cole, extensively about this album, it was painstaking, but Cole does all his albums like that, check out Poco - Legend, Emerson Drive-ST, this album has done more then the band could've ever expected it to do, it just took the internet becoming available, and about 10 years for it to do it, sadly it probably didnt do it for the band financially, but for people like me, who understand the production job done on this album, and done via analog, using tape, it's a pretty incredible thing to have done, it surpasses Hysteria greatly, Hysteria did it 1st and thats it's mark on history, this is the album I base any and every other albums production job on, not only are the vocals over produced, thats where most albums stop, every instrument is also done, not to mention heart warming songs, this album served it's purpose, I think by feedback, its apparent!

From: Mace Date: July 17, 2013 at 4:02
Oh man just got this cd. Saw the name on eBay, thought it looked like glam metal, checked on this site for reviews, bought it... It is rock heaven!!! Reminds me heaps of Hysteria in the production. Record company mustn't have pushed this album strongly enough. Love Rockin' With The Radio, Crush and Innocent Kiss best of all.

From: 123charpenay Date: February 8, 2016 at 13:49
exceptional record, with blue tears it s very simple :10 songs ,10 hits!!!!this sensational realise is a mix of bon jovi (tracks 1 and 6 could easely be present on the first bon jovi s records),with a touch of def leppard or danger danger .like says rick it s "happy hard rock" all songs will hooked you definitively cause they are irresistibles.i can ad that tracks 5 and 9 are two top class hard f m ballads.unfortunatelly no bonus tracks on the hyper rare japan import.a must have!!!

From: CC Date: February 22, 2018 at 18:53
I remember getting this CD probably around 1998/1999. It was at a time I used to visit the record store Beanos in Croydon (RIP). I used to go in and head straight for the rock and metal section, scan through the CDs and if there was bands I had never heard of, as long as they were not too expensive and they had the right image while scanning through the cover booklet, I would take a punt and buy them. I got many great finds this way including the likes of Sven Gali, Wildside, Crystal Roxx and these guys. This was one of those albums that as a fan of Bon Jovi and Leppard, I was instantly taken with it. There is not a bad song on this album, and the songs are catchy as fuck. Seriously wish it had been released years earlier as they deserved to be huge. You can say what you want about the lack of originality to their sound, but what matters is the songs were brilliant. So many of the songs on it would have had "hit" written on them in the mid to late 80s.
