For me their best album. Also the new albumes like BACK TO THE KINGDOM or EYES OF DARKNESS are great. To me they sound like a mix between BONFIRE, KINGDOM(later DOMINE) and HOTWIRE. Great melodic hard and heavy

I agree! And Living In A World is a classic!

From: Melodiker Date: February 7, 2003 at 16:01

PURE FANTASTIC HARD ROCK BAND.THEY HAVE A TASTE OF HELLOWEEN.I LIKE "JUST ONE NIGHT" AND "TEARS OF THE TREES" IS AN EXCELLENT BALLAD. SO WE ARE LIVING IN A WORLD OF METAL!!!!!!

From: Agnar Date: November 24, 2003 at 14:39
EXCELLENT album! unfortunately, this band never did this way again! They are also quite poor on stage...

From: TYNO / BRAZIL Date: December 5, 2003 at 10:50

From: Andrei Date: March 15, 2004 at 7:26
Fantastic album!

From: Kique Date: May 9, 2004 at 9:46
Great album, one of their best. Agnar, you're wrong, this is one of the funniest bands on stage I've ever seen (Madrid) and they played almost perfect. Great singer and guitars!!

From: joseph Date: June 18, 2004 at 22:38
Good opening song, but then it veers into very, very ordinary territory, never to recover.

From: Rick Thunder Date: July 16, 2004 at 5:31
THEIR FIRST TWO ALBUMS ARE EXCELLENT, ONE OF THE BEST GERMAN BANDS, THEIR LIVE ALBUM IS GREAT TOO.

From: Tom R. Piippo Date: August 6, 2004 at 10:16
One of the best debut-albums in 1990. This is exactly what metal is about. Great melodies, great musicians and wonderful drive. One of the best Axxis-albums ever.

From: rock-day Date: April 16, 2005 at 4:55
Das ist eine der besten CDs die ich kenne, absolut geiler Hard Rock!!!

From: headbanger4life Date: December 2, 2005 at 2:04
This is the first release I picked up by these guys and it fantastic. I really love the opening track. They are comparable to Bonfire and even a little bit of Helloween thrown in. Very melodic hard rock with smooth guitars, rockin' solos, catchy choruses, and loads of harmony vocals.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 26, 2006 at 11:56
I agree with all of you guys.Definetely a good album.Had the opportunity to see them live as a support act for Black Sabbath just when they released this debut. All their albums are good actually.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 1, 2011 at 21:53
...yeah...reafirming my comment from 2006,Axxis is quite a good band(nowdays rocking as hard as since they started they career )..for me this album's wonderful(it reminds me of another great german act named Domain..pretty similar in sound to their album "Our Kingdom")..basically all the tracks in here are top notch or at least IMHO..."Living In A World","Kingdom Of The Night"(rules!!!),"Never Say Never"(catchy chorus),"Fire & Ice"(killer ballad),"Young Souls" & "For A Song"(both with AOR feel),"Just One Night"(killer) & "Kings Made Of Steel"...i was very lucky catching these guys live as a support act to Black Sabbath back in late 80's...buy!.93/100
