GOOD 80's AOR/HAIR/POMP with MODERN sound 91/100 Woahhhow , after some listening sessions , i can say that's a winner !!! I think KENNY LECKREMO (the singer) is a rising STAR ! GUITAR player is perfect in this kind of music with short but singing smoking solos ! the comparisons with RED DAWN/GIANT/GLORY/THE POODLES/CRASH DIET/BROTHER FIRE TRIBE are fair , but it sound more US than SCANDI to my ears !very good anyway !!!My n'1 SCANDINAVIAN 2008 CD so far !!!

From: RockMan10 Date: May 3, 2008 at 0:30
I've heard 3 songs on this so far (listening now) and have already enjoyed it MUCH more than the new Def Leppard spin. Very good songs, very good singer, very polished sound. Many layers of guitars, keys, vocals, etc. For those of you that aren't musicians, this is the sign of taking the time to make sure every note is in tune, mixed properly, layered correctly, etc. I hear Europe / Survivor all over this. Recommend it very much.

From: Jack Torrance Date: May 3, 2008 at 11:21
A great debut album for this band, absolute masterpiece IMHO, need to buy it ASAP. Together with Work Of Art 'Artwork', best 2008 AOR albums so far.

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: May 5, 2008 at 14:25
How do you want it? english or spanish?. Ok, let's do it in english. This is an Amazing Hard AOR album that fills all the expectation that has been generated before it was released. They combine elements of Scandinavian AOR like EUROPE, FATE and GLORY with the most dinamic side of 80s AOR, i mean, bands like SURVIVOR, and i can hear a little bit of 80s BON BOVI sounding in certain moments. Music is Great!, I Think Guitar work is excellent and Leckremo's voice is outstanding!, a mix between Kelly Hansen and Goran Edman. All the album is awesome but i'm in shock because of 2 tracks: 'Keep On Dreaming' (now sounding as a ringtone in me cel phone haha) and the incredible 'There For You'. A Masterpiece!

Listening more than once i have to to say that H.E.A.T. is a Real Contender to the Album of the Year. Really Great Melodic HardRock/AOR that reminds me of Red Dawn/Europe/Journey/Survivor.. My Highlights are 'Feel The Heat'(What a way to finish an album and reminds of Red Dawn a lot!), 'There For You'(Contagious/Catchy tune!!), 'Keep On Dreaming' 'Straight For Your Heart' 'Cry' 'Feel It Again' and 'Bring The Stars'. Definitely in my Top Five of 2008. A Real Must have!! and I'll give 2 more points. 9.5/10

From: z4roxx Date: May 26, 2008 at 13:47

From: Geoff Date: May 27, 2008 at 23:27
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Another amazing release from 2008. The opener, 'There for you' probably has one of the smallest hooks on this disc. Even though it it delicious, but after that there is nothing but bliss, like 'Never let go'. 'Keep On Dreaming', 'Follow Me', 'Straight For Your Heart' and 'Cry' are all just flawless, but one of my favourite songs is 'Bring The Stars'. My first impression of this band was a European version of Giant... and I still think that's not far off. Essential disc.

From: Kralli Date: May 28, 2008 at 17:43
Simply one of the best albums ever. Definitly one of the really really greatest since the glory days of late 80's early 90's.

Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic! This will be a great year for us. House Of Lords, Brother Firetribe and now H.E.A.T. Anyone who listens to these records and says that the melodic rock scene is not that good (or even better) and strong as in the 80's is defenetely DEAF! Back to this one, i just listened it the 3rd time in a row and just can't stop doin' it. No fillers!! And they're only 20+ years old... WELL DONE!!! 10/10

From: PG (Sweden) Date: June 17, 2008 at 12:11
You can find links where to buy the album at the bands website. I watched them live this weekend and they are great live as well. They will support Alice Cooper 18 July in 'rnsk'ldsvik Sweden and 19 July in Kilafors Sweden.

The bast scandi AOR/MHR disc since Glory - Danger in this game! :-)

From: Wachen Date: June 30, 2008 at 7:45
These guys are really hyped, but not without reason! The shining star in this record is Kenny Leckremo, awesome singer which makes this band stand out from the rest. Oh, and the music is also a killer, best AOR-album from Sweden since Glory and Treat's heydays. A must-have! 10/10

From: darobinson Date: June 30, 2008 at 18:58
Just got this today. I must say that it is quite good. Great singer backed by a great band. Lets hope there is more to come from these guys.

From: gugahardrock Date: July 5, 2008 at 17:43
Simply one of the bests debut albuns ever. Can't stop listening. The best album of 2008 with no doubts. Please H.E.A.T come to Brazil

From: Andyhardrock Date: July 6, 2008 at 2:53
Hey gugahardrock, I'm from Brazil too and love the H.E.A.T band, I have this cd, it really rocks! I hope see H.E.A.T to play in Brazil too.

From: Zoner Date: July 7, 2008 at 2:34
Too modern sound for me. I didn't liked it that much, if they have went with a more originally style in the vain of Scandi rock I would like it more but the only track that stands out is Keep on dreaming. But when I heard the first version of Keep on dreaming on their site when they hadn't released their album or finished their songs I was blown away it was totally magic!! But I can't say the same thing with the album version the producer has ruined the song. Unbelievable.

Excellent album & one I wasn't going to bother with after hearing a few negatives. Glad I did as these boys have a really cool sound & they certainly know how to write a good song or 4. This takes you right back to the heady days of the 80's and unashamedly so, even the cd cover smells of the 80's. Hard to pick a favourite, as I like them all, except maybe 'Straight Up' which is a little too close to Alannah Myles' 'Black Velvet' in places for it's own good. One of the surprises of the year for me, that has pretty much booked it's top 10 place come years end.

From: z4roxx Date: September 19, 2008 at 13:56
Easy to write here one of the best of all time because it's true,if you write the contrary you're an idiot or a very stupid man.Great guitarist and singer, solid rhythm session, short songs with incredible energy and melodies, essential. It was many years didn't hear a cd like this one,'There for you'is already one of the mega-hits ever in this disgraced genre....

From: Zoner Date: September 26, 2008 at 18:23
Wow people! Open your ears and hear a ripoff of Giant's I'll See You In My Dreams on Cry. H.E.AT should be happy that Giant haven't sued them yet like Europe's Kee Marcello did when he heard I want action by Poison when he was on tour with Europe in the states in 1986.

From: masmusic Date: October 10, 2008 at 9:53
This release is just G.R.E.A.T. 10/10

From: roxxygene Date: October 11, 2008 at 9:32

From: jakaraga Date: October 13, 2008 at 13:30
Agree with you roxxygene, I am from Indonesia too, so long we here never heard #1 class aor/hard rock band ,bands like H.E.A.T, Brother Firetribe, Dark Sky,bring that sound again. I waiting many more will come

From: Niglin Date: December 9, 2008 at 18:07
Zoner, you must be a stoner. They don't sound that much like Giant, the style is totally different, and the releases are years apart; your an idiot. Your musical tastes are pretty bland / mainstream, someone should sue you for being special with an 'R', good thing stupidity isn't a crime; or you'd be locked up. Next time listen; then get stoned. Awesome release by 'H.E.A.T', can wait for the sophomore release; you will find inspiration in this music!

From: zoomanthree Date: December 19, 2008 at 21:41
KILLER RECORD!!!! awesome. new band with brilliant talent. will be a legend in hardrock genre. debut album but very H.E.A.T style. for thumbs up!!!!

From: shoemaker Date: February 5, 2009 at 4:07
No atmosphere and emotions, only cheerful "tralala" hardrock.

From: MikeTuinstra Date: February 19, 2009 at 18:36
Pure melodic art! This one's everything you ever loved about your 80's Rock. Feel good music taken to the limit, positive emotion to sound. Band's gonna make it big, they're currently aiming at Eurovision 2009 with new song 1000 Miles.

From: Heavy.AOR Date: March 5, 2009 at 3:07
Omg 80' years back brilliant brilliant album AOR IS NOT DEAD 10/10

From: live2rock Date: June 10, 2009 at 10:41
IMHO all the positive comments here are correct, excellent melodic rock, let's hope the next is just as good.

From: poser forever Date: June 10, 2009 at 16:34
Oh man what a waste of time. Very average. The music is not bad but the singer is quite bad . He sounds like a metalhead who tries to sing melodic rock. I would call it aor/melodic rock for people who don't really like hard rock but heavy metal. AVOID IT!

From: erik Date: June 11, 2009 at 13:09
poser forever the only thing below average here is your or try and take those plugs out of your ears gee.....

From: z4roxx Date: June 11, 2009 at 15:06
Here's the new last idiot on the site:welcome back poser forever...

From: shoemaker Date: June 11, 2009 at 15:42
Good to have freedom of speech and own opinion. This stuff is average!

From: poser forever Date: June 11, 2009 at 18:52
Hello. If you want to listen some real melodic hard rock just listen to bands like WALL OF SILENCE,UNRULY CHILD,BAD ENGLISH,FLAME,MR BIG,VELOCITY,CHINA,FM,TREAT,SARAYA etc-I could go on till tomorrow. And to erik and z4roxx:leave this site and go and listen to some Iron Maiden, thats the music you deserve to listen and not hard rock.

From: poser forever Date: June 11, 2009 at 18:58
I usually don't respond to other people because i respect other's opinion and never judge them especially by characterising people idiots like z4roxx-metalhead did for me. Thanks.

From: erik Date: June 14, 2009 at 11:07
and ofcourse baby boy shoemaker has to add his own usual negative piece of sh.. comment to it. and yep the description of poser forever is spot on. sojust ignore him people. better for everybody.

From: shoemaker Date: June 14, 2009 at 13:46
50% for VAINS "NO RESPECT" ??? Yes, erik YOU are the real expert here! Sorry for all my unprofessional comments!

From: poser forever Date: June 14, 2009 at 14:23
I just read erik's comment about Vain's ''No Respect'' classic (the absolute glam release-just Great)and he says that is ''hyped and overrated''. Oh man, maybe back then when it was released(great hair era) erik listened to manowar or what? Vain's ''No Respect'' is one of the gratest glam releases ever and HEAT is just so average. People Erik is just a metaller so ignore his comments. Nuff said.

From: erik Date: June 15, 2009 at 4:59
haha good to read the two pro's shoemaker and poser have found each other. yep ladies and gents here we have the new Idols jury....no worries this is my last comment about these two.

From: z4roxx Date: June 20, 2009 at 13:38
Ahahaha!I do have originals all the bands you've mentioned.Dear friend,I know over 15.000 bands so you can say/write what you want, just add that some band is great for all the people, some other band can be sound particular and it's logical some people can appreciate and some people not. That's all.H.E.A.T.is an excellent album and band,so it's IMPOSSIBILE to write "average" or "bad" here because it's not possibile.Go to listen to Vain who I respect but I continue to defying "average" and nothin'special for me.Glam panorama had more gooder bands than them...No hard feelings man!!!

From: opec Date: September 22, 2009 at 5:29
brilliant, look for the latesta version with bonustrack from melodie festival

From: hair metal again Date: October 2, 2009 at 12:22
this is a big surprise for me.i am disapointed by the level of new bands but man this is fantastic.all the songs are anthemic and it s so feel good listening to those young men.i saw them live last year and they werent so good, but the cd is awesome.it is obvious that they are talented songwriters and i guess that they can be better musicians as years pass by.the singer sounds like astrong goran edman .i am glad i mgonna catch them again at firefest.overall this is a huge debut ,so rare nowadays.thumbs up for the swedish

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 31, 2009 at 13:26
Really a good release...completely packed with good songs..this is the kind of albums or bands shall i say better to keep the AOR spirit alive and well..the band sounds fresh but with the essence of the 80's marked deeply(you can notice some kind of Survivor 80's jimmi jamison's vibe to it in each song or some of them...)"There For You","Never Let Go","Straight For Yor Heart" and so on...just excellent songs that will keep you asking for more H.E.A.T.!!!.95/100

From: Sly009 Date: February 27, 2010 at 11:04
One of the best cd yet. The Ep with Beg Beg Beg, is just as good, can't wait to get a second full album outta them. Essential disc, Classic

From: CMGio Date: March 29, 2010 at 10:33
I LOVE this record. What a tremendous debut! This record dominates my collection. I swear it hasn't left my rotation since I got it. There isn't a weak song in this band's catalog. From beginning to end, this is an absolute dream! CRANK IT UP. I hope and pray that this band stays together for the long run. An absolute masterpiece. You have to have it in your collection! Also get their "Beg, Beg, Beg," EP and the "1,000 Miles" single. 3 purchases you could never regret in a lifetime!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 29, 2010 at 17:24
I've just listened to their Beg Beg Beg advanced demo...3 killer tracks!...waiting for their full lenght release anxiously...keep the H.E.A.T. alive!

From: CMGio Date: April 12, 2010 at 17:31
New album comes out in May. Cannot wait.

From: CMGio Date: April 30, 2010 at 9:30
I got the new record "Freedom Rock" this morning (Japanese edition). It is KILLER.

From: z4roxx Date: April 30, 2010 at 15:48
New H.E.A.T. is nothing killer or other things. It's as often a second good cd after an awesome/masterpiece debut.Any song is superior to a single fist album track believe me.

From: z4roxx Date: April 30, 2010 at 15:56
In the second part of the new album there's some killer stuff,I must admit this fact...

From: Heavy.AOR Date: May 2, 2010 at 2:35
Second album is nothing killer boring in one line

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: May 2, 2010 at 2:52
.....,,freedom rock" is almost as good as the 1st one in terms of SONGWRITING !!!! The only difference... it's the surprise effect ....huge huge AOR/MELODIC ROCK 90/100

From: AndyCODE Date: May 22, 2010 at 8:20
z4roxx, the 2nd album is surprise for me. So, I think we have different expectations from the music (even in Hard/AOR style). Btw, the debut one left in my collection and I heard it only once (and never again), but when heard 'Freedom Rock', tried to do it again. And now I can tell you: completely agree with Poser Forever: the debut is AVERAGE and sometimes too harsh IMO (mostly through 'loud' vocal manner... but the same time Leckremo has nice voice shades!!!); the second one is BRILLIANT: soft melodic full of keys gem in my collection. PS: People, please respect smbd`s opinion - sometimes it`s based on comparison with the music this people hear. Actually, Kelly Hansen, M.Free, Bruce Turgon etc have much more expressive voices than Leckremo shown in debut album. Once again, new (2010) album made me the H.E.A.T. fun, but NOT debut CD.

From: aor-boy Date: September 4, 2010 at 4:35
I don't like this album at all. It's a strange kind of AOR that is not pleasant at all. There new album is amazing this one is awful.

From: CC Date: October 26, 2010 at 9:44
Just got hold of the tour edition of this album which has a bonus track on the main CD plus a bonus CD with five tracks on it. I have to say though, having downloaded both albums a few months back, and listened to them already, I cant see why so many people rant and rave about this as if its the second coming. Yes its good music (I wouldnt have bought it otherwise), but its hardly amazing. I can understand why some people have said they call it average, even if others cant (no need for name calling just because someone doesnt love these guys as much as you). Maybe they will grow on me over time, especially now that Erik is their new singer as I really like his solo stuff, but for now I cant see this being played too many times.

From: halfordhughes Date: April 21, 2011 at 7:09
this is the total package!!!killer aor album!!!

From: elljam Date: February 27, 2012 at 7:56
Great hook filled album with every track accessible after first listen. I found myself singing the choruses of around 5 different songs during the day. Hard to pick standout tracks as the standard was so high, with not a filler in sight. Eighties style melodic rock/AOR with great vocals & modern production is a formula for happiness in my house

From: rocksoul Date: April 7, 2012 at 13:04
Great album!!! Sweden doesn't wrong a shot! Amazing songs to the start till the end. I took a listen to the new job with new lead singer: he seams the new "king" Sebastian Bach. Scandinavia: rock's promise land!

From: 123charpenay Date: September 11, 2013 at 13:41
i ve discover this band with the sensational "freedom rock".then i ve buying the excellent "adress the nation".now for me it s time to discover their debut album.receive it today in japan import tour edition (2 cd s with bonus tracks).wow the shock !this realise is an atomic bomb.this band is a factory for create only killers songs only hits.this is their best album cause it s a little more varied than their others marvellous cd s.i understand why in japan their records are reissue in many many version.they have good taste.of course this masterpiece is essential.!!!!!!!!!!!

From: juan carlos Date: September 11, 2013 at 21:22
I can't be more agree with you my friend 123charpenay. This is the best album from 2008 for sure and one of the best albums of the century. Far better than the other albums in my opinion, this album can't be improved by nothing else. PERIOD. :-) 97/100 :-)

From: 123charpenay Date: September 12, 2013 at 13:43

Hi Zoner, do you refer to the 3.29 min long version of the song? It's diferent indeed, there are more keyboards.

Once I wrote there was only one good song. Damn, I WAS SO WRONG!!! This is a MASTERPIECE of an album. One killer song after another. 'There For You' is an outstanding opening track. 'Keep On Dreaming', 'Bring the Stars, 'Feel the Heat', 'Stay', 'Feel it Again' and the beautiful ballad 'Cry' are some of my favourites. Loved the singer. Loved the 80's vibe.

Disc 2 should have been the 7 demos circling around the internet. And '1000 Miles' should have been the opening song for their 2nd album.

In Oct 2023, H.e.a.t's splendid debut was reissued in this new totally REMIXED version; with a just beautiful sound. Jona's a genious, he updated the sound to be very similar to the last three perfect-sounding H.e.a.t studio albums. Just brilliant! I normally don't buy physical CDs, but these two (this and Freedom Rock, released in Nov 2023) are worth it! I am such an audiophile it's ridiculous, so these remix albums were like a wet dream come true From one of the best melodic rock bands ever, ya rockaz! The reverb from the snare is fixed, sound is rich, warm, tight and just full score! Such a young and hungry band at the time of 2008, still mature song-writing and lots of nice harmonies and details. Heavenly vocals. 12 excellent songs, not one filler. 100/100. https://www.discogs.com/release/28811791-HEAT-HEAT
