I know some will see entry of this disc as too mainstream. It should be here! Great release, with some great straight ahead rock tunes. "What I Want" with Slash is a great riff.

Great Melodic & Modern (Hard)Rock. I like almost all the songs here but the rockers are not mine. Great voice of Chris Daughtry. Enjoyable album but with some fillers. 13)Home 14)Crashed are bonus, Home is my fav by far. 8.8/10

Definitely one of the better modern melodic hard rock releases of the last couple of years, featuring a good vocalist, beefy production (courtesy of the always-reliable Howard Benson), guest guitar appearance by Slash (love his riffs!), big commercial hooks ("Over You" is sensational) and catchy choruses. Albums like this are why I'm glad we finally have a modern rock category on this site

Great disc. A really good slab of modern commercial/melodic hard rock. As noted, 'Over You' is spectacular, but most these songs are great. 'Feels Like Tonight' is another one of my faves, but there is a huge selection of good stuff here to chose from. A must for any lover of hard rock.

What is this turd of a record doing on this site? Modern melodic my arse. Another reason, as if there weren't enough, to not watch American Idol. It makes me angry that I had to rate it a 1...

WookieEnthal it seems that your comments are very derogotory toward anything that may have been released lately. This happens to be a good album and I am firmly planted in the 80's hair band type of music. There are a few new bands out there right now that are worthwhile. Hinder may be a rip off of a glam band but the latest album is very good from that perspective. Now onto this album. This album is an good slab of modern rock....fave songs Over You, What I Want and Crashed. Not quite enough rockers on this one to make it a excellent album..add a few more like What I Want In and it would be a winner. 81/100

I'm happy you like it metal but that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't belong here IMO. I don't own the site so I can't delete it but I would if I could. I come to sites like this to learn about bands that I may not have heard of from back in the day...not trudge through crap that people may feel is "similar" to the 80's sound...it's not the same and never will be...not even close. Yeah, I know, "if you don't like it, don't click on it" Sorry, when I see stuff like this turd album, I get angry...so sue me.

I am absolutely with WookieEnthal!!! To add this cow dung here is like telling Oprah Winfrey she's a beautyqueen!

very good debut for DAUGHTRY , a band that certainly has that modern sound and way of songwriting and mostly has to do with younger audiences!Really liked the commercial approach ,the production ,the musicianship ,Chris s warm voice and some good songs ,but on the other hand kinda sounded the same to me and couldnt remember the songs separately!"used to " and "over you " the highlights for a release that will satisfy you in general
