SUPER MASTERPIECE of HARD ROCK 80's MADE IN 2013!!

From: Leykis101 Date: September 6, 2013 at 22:30
I really think this CD kicks ass, nothing mind blowing, but it's steady and consistent enough that I wasn't absolutely out of my fucking head irate after my 1st spin through, I will update which songs I end up thinking kick the most ass, after Ive had a few weeks to spin it, and get to know it, but if your wondering if its worth getting, i would definitely say YES!

Like the previous 2 albums the guys once again hit the ground running with an album full of catchy as hell songs. Some heavier moments on this one, with a few more influences thrown into their Leppard/Jovi influences from Animal attraction, with songs having similar sounds to bands such as Priest, Crue and even Steel Panther riffing. That said its still 100% Reckless Love. I have heard people say that Night on fire was the obvious lead single as its the strongest on the album, but I disagree as there are several songs that are head and shoulders above it. Songs like Bad lovin for instance, blow Night on fire away in my opinion. These guys just go from strength to strength.

One of the catchiest glam/aor/pop bands to have emerged in the recent,at least,5 years,is giving us a new release with plenty of enthusiastic songs all over...a hit maker machine is what RL is all about ..."Night On Fire" is the first single of it with a very attractive and colorful video as well, some other fine moments are "Bad Lovin'","Favorite Flavor","Metal Ass"(funny titled song with a not so typical way of playing of the band,is perhaps this track a parody??),"Runaway Love","So Happy I Could Die" & the nice softy "Hot Rain"...i own the single version so i have no idea how the bonus tracks sound like,so gonna try to check them too...this act will be a definitive blast within the next 5 years, believe me...87/100

Just got this one, one of the best hard rock/Glam/Rock cd of the year. I have the cd with the Uk bonus track. Great tune. The only song that I don't like is 'Metal Ass'. 'I Love Heavy Metal' bring us back to the late 80's along with 'Sex,Drugs and Reckless Love'. Great Oppener with 'Night On Fire' follow up with 'Bad Lovin'. Def Leppard, Early or should I say mid Bon Jovi unfluence. Great album.

finland is the country of santa claus.finland is so the country of melodic rock.many finnish bands are excellent (free spirit, land of tales, sturm und drang ,agnes ect ect.reckless love is one of the best finnish band and more one of the best european band.after the sensational"animal attraction" i was very impatient to discover their new album.i m not disapointed even if there is two fillers (track 4 and 8).the others songs are fantastic and varied.they use the same recipe than on "animal attraction".they plays an irresistible melodic hard rock influenced by def leppard (track 3)and by wig wam for the rest."night on fire ""sex drugs and reckless love"are some real hits, track 5, 7"dying to live" my fav song, track 9 and track 12 (super japan bonus track) are very melodic and top class a o r.track 11 "hot rain" is a beautiful ballad.for make short the cd is essential one of the best of 2013.the japan import is a "shm" cd and have an hologram on the obi for seeing a video with a i pad.

I put these guys right up with any of the Swedish exports that get so much attention (Crashdiet, Crazy Lixx, etc.) The guitarwork is flashy without being too flashy, the hooks stick in your head, the harmonies are big and smooth. At the same time, there's no getting around this being 2013, and it's hard not to find their songs a bit antiquated. most times, that's not a big problem, but on this disc, "I Love Heavy Metal" really stands out as a big, smelly lump of pure cheese, even bigger and smellier than Crazy Lixx's "My Medicine (R.O.C.K.)," which it closely resembles. On "Metal Ass," they get a little too heavy for their own good, trying for some Painkiller-era Priest, which just comes offf as forced. But "Night On Fire" (with an intro that reminded me, weirdly, of Miami Sound Machine), "Bad Lovin," "Favorite Flavor" and "Runaway Love" are all pretty good. This is a little better than Animal Attraction, but Reckless Love have yet to match their debut.

From: 123charpenay Date: December 31, 2013 at 8:16
best song of the year 2013..... "dying to live" from RECKLESS LOVE.

From: 80srocker Date: April 23, 2014 at 8:09
If you play this next to Green Day you will love, love, love it. Play it next to some 80s glam band and you will prefer the old stuff. My two cents, of course... Nice (rock) songs, which deserve an edgier production.
