The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Blackberry Smoke CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Blackberry Smoke are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Clearly angling for some love from country radio, Blackberry Smoke slow things down, roll back the distortion, and add a bunch of tinkling piano and burbling organ. The performances are as classy as always, but the almust complete lack of aggression, in music and lyrics, is a huge disappointment. "Six Ways To Sunday" is far and away the best song, but other highlights are "Everybody Knows She's Mine," "Shakin' Hands With The Holy Ghost," the disc's lone stab at real heaviness in "Leave A Scar," the bittersweet (mostly bitter) "One Horse Town" and, weirdly, the very traditional-sounding "Ain't Got The Blues." "Crimson Moon" is a sanitized inversion of "Sanctified," a song about two young lovers splitting town, but this time without the impending disaster, while "Up The Road" and "Pretty Little Lie" are pussywhipped let's-make-up songs to witchy women. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em I guess, but it's such a disappointment to hear Blackberry Smoke knuckling under to conformity.
