|The Canadian Pretty Boy Floyd is nowhere near as good as the American PBF. The Canadian PBF is as "formula" as they come. I'm not sure how they ever got the rave reviews they did when they first came out. And since their cd is no easy score these days, you're better off to spend your money on the Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz albums. At least they know how to craft a catchy tune.

|Cool album.Cool band.Down on the floor ROCKS !! I used to love that song!!Tommy Floyd was an amazing songwriter and frontman who always had bad ass bands.I dont know why these guys are called glam.It`s mostly hard rock acdc style IMO.Bikers loved them and always had them playing at functions.Saw them back up Skid Row where members of the Crue, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi ended up doing an allstar jam in honor of Billy Duffys birthday towards the end of the night. PBF got huge respect from what I saw.

|Yup.I like these guys a lot.But they got screwed outa they`re name by MCA Records.I think they broke up right after it came out.This album has good songs but not much in the way of production behind it.Kinda sounds like a demo.But I like that about it.
||Date: November 21, 2001 at 1:05|
|I`ve got some stuff from this album on mp3.I think it`s from an earlier EP by the same name.The four songs I`ve heard are a little heavy for my taste and I agree with some of the other reviews it`s not Glam it`s Hard Rock.The American Pretty Boy Floyd guys are much cuter and have better songs.

|Would love to hear these guys, and compare to them the American version of PBF, but what the hell does being "cuter" than another band have to do with the MUSIC. This is why a lot of people don't accept a chick's opinion, because more often than not, it's tainted with some kind of biasedness towards a band for being "cute" or "sexy."
||Date: December 22, 2001 at 2:28|
|The Canaidan PBF did get screwed out of their name & I do believe they broke up soon after. GOOD Luck trying to find it, Ive been looking for the past 6 years & I cant find it anywhere. & Im in Vancouver, Canada Go figure?

|There is no reason to judge a band by their looks, stupid! If they sound good and can play, who cares what they look like? DUH!!! They got screwed by the PBF of America, but had their own sound that was just as good. "Cute", puh-leeze! You probably don't listen to good music because "cock-rock" musicians are pleasing to your eye, while you miss the real message. It isn't about parties and pussy, it's about fun, stupid!

|Cool to see all this interest so many years later. The band was a lot of fun...best moment was seeing our picture in Kerrang and the headline saying FLOYD SIGNS TO MCA. Why do you think the US PBF LP stiffed after all that promotion....Karma...they know why. Anyone interested in a sealed LP copy of bullets and lipstick can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Other bands I've played in have been The McRackins, Grandma Moses and The Retreads. www.mcrackins.com

|The guitarist is still playing.I saw a gig a coupla months ago and wuz blown away.Someone mentioned who he wuz and I couldn't believe it wuz the same guy from PBF.Crazy looking scrawny skinhead covered in ink.He fronts a kick ass three piece that sound like a cross between Rose Tattoo, AC/DC and Stevie Ray Vaughn.The band is called "Billy Butcher". Supposedly they just got a deal and have an album coming out this summer.Best band I've seen in years to tell you the truth. Old school Rock and Roll

|I had seen this cassette when it first came out, I never bothered with it, but now I am looking for the CD, I downloaded all the songs from the net in Mp3 format, but like most people I want the original, it isn't that bad, maybe not quite as good as the American PBF, but better than alot of glam bands out there, oh well, maybe I'll get lucky someday!!!
||Date: May 17, 2002 at 10:52|
|BTW, does anyone htink they sound alot like KIX????
||Date: May 26, 2002 at 8:39|

|I finally got this on CD, I found it on www.musicstack.com, it's really pretty good, it only cost $16.00, can't go wrong their, I've seen it priced as high as $50.00 US for it!

|Thanks frost. And i got the whole 'Bullets...' album too.

|I really liked these guys. Sound is similar to Kix or Johnny Crash. Cool tunes, but this album definately lacks production. I`ve seen a video for the song "Welcome to the Show" and they look pretty kick ass live.

|Cool band !! "Proud to be loud" and "Down on the floor" are standouts on this album. But they were WAY better live and had MUCH better material then whats on this CD. Really bad production. I don't have any idea how they ever got labeled "Glam" anyway... they don't even look it much less sound like it. Saw them live at cbgb's in NY City a coupla years after they'd changed the name to "Tommy Floyd". WAY COOLER!! Wasn't no Glam there either... Just straight up AC/DC Booze, leather n Tattoos RAWK!!

|Recent interview with Tommy Floyd. Welcome to the Show!! (Inside joke) Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with us. Can you give us a brief synopsis of your personal history for some of our readers who may not be familiar with your name? "In 1989 a group of imposters from LA ran ads in BAM magazine looking for a guitarist to complete their new band "Pretty Boy Floyd"?!. At the time, I was amazed that any band would even attempt to capitalize on all of our sweat." I first

|I called the LA band and inquired about the guitar gig and then asked them where they came up with the name. They openly bragged "some band from Canada!"

|How did the sale of the name "Pretty Boy Floyd" come about? I hope you took MCA to the cleaners! ha! ha! Our band publicity suddenly went from killer to filler. People were writing our fan club and confusing us with the LA band, calling us fags (and by the names) of the LA PBF band members. After a meeting with my manager at the time and our trademark lawyer, we all agreed that enough damage had been done to the name. That even if we decided to hang on to it (as I owned the trademark) there was

|significant damage done. There was so much confusion in the industry and media that know one seemed to know who was who. But the one single fact, we couldn’t overlook was that they were on a "major". Of course, we didn’t let on to the LA band that we were no longer interested in keeping the name. We eventually settled out of court with MCA giving us a nice chunk of change. Are you aware that PBF is still kickin' around? I’d heard the singer was still flogging the act. The band was never very goo

|d to begin with. I was informed shortly after they pilfered the name from us, that they had written very little if anything from their MCA debut. Apparently, they ripped most of the songs from a guitar player that tried out or was in the band for a short while who later sued them. MCA finally did the right thing by dropping them. Fuckers!

|Canda's PBF were awesome in there own way. Sure US PBF were awesome and you can't really compare them with this PBF. US PBF I would say was more glam. And Canada's PBF was more sleazier Hard Rock....which was awesome in itself. Two different bands...two differents areas....both major influences in the world of Rock-N-Roll.

|"In 1990 PBF got into a major legal battle with the american PBF and ended settling out of court and giving up the name due to legal implications." You know,.... It's funny to think about the legal bull-shit between the two bands, because where the hell are the two now-a-daze? They were fighting over a name that no one will remember! HA! HA!

|Well you may have a point Jason, but I recently saw the CD go for $120 US on Ebay and the sealed Vinyl go for $60 US. They both only put out one album each really over 10 years ago and people are still talking about them. Although the US PBF have released a few CD's over the last few years, they keep rehashing the same songs over and over again.

|Pretty Boy Floyd (later Tommy Floyd) were great! And there are a few other recordings out there. I have the Fiasco Brothers CD which had a few bands on it, including 3 songs by Tommy Floyd. I also have a demo tape of TF (1991) which was 4 songs; "Long Way Home", "Love's taxi", "Stagedoor Jane", and "Cheatin' Heart" (written by Hank Williams)... All amazing stuff! I also have a few live concert videos which really show the band at their best - live! I'm still looking for the "Bullets" CD!!!!

|was tommy floyd a solo artist after PBF or was their a band named tommy floyd? were the bassist and drummer in other bands afterwards?
||Date: August 20, 2003 at 1:49|
|The band changed their name to TOMMY FLOYD after the legal battle. The original line-up split and Tommmy hired guys to tour with over the next couple of years before he called it a day and went into managing. Pete Parker - has laid low over the last 10 years but is putting out a Solo CD this year. Sandy Hazard played in Grandma Moses, The McRackins, The Retreads and put out several CD's with those bands for info go to (http://www.billybutcher.com/) (http://www.grandmamoses.net) Cheers

|I saw Tommy Floyd headline a gig at Rock'n'Roll Heaven on Bloor st. Toronto Aug.29 1991 , I still have the ticket, opening were the bands Cosmic Saints and The Sinisters they were good rock'n'roll , high energy , so I guess this was after they lost the PBF name, there was a good buzz about Tommy Floyd but few people knew about their PBF record they just said Tommy Floyd was going to do something big , the singer for the Cosmic Saints now sings for the Sinisters who are still going in T.O.

|Hey-does anyone know about a tune called "Drowning at the deep end of a bar"-i downloaded this tune and have no idea where it came from. The sound quality is as good as the "Bullets" disc. Very cool tune-would like to find the demo or ep it came from.

|I feel sorry for these guys because they got duped out of the name and all. I like the album title - very cool glam title, but to be honest the music at hand really isn't that much to gawk about. It's not bad, but what you have here, IMO, is pretty average hard rock. Not bad, but certainly not brilliant and nowhere near as good as the US PBF. To many fillers and no real gems...
||Date: December 29, 2004 at 0:31|
|wow,i downloaded mp3's for "proud to be loud" and "four for the road" a year back and thought they were from the american pretty boy floyd! i just realised the truth! liked both songs,"four for the road" just oozed attitude,though i would have preferred a better(maybe more in-your-face) chorus for that song....but what the hell,love the song anyway!!
