'FOLLOW THE STARS' WOW what an awesome/Catchy and Infection AOR track! Possibly My favorite song of this Year. Phil Vincent does an excellent job and the infectious melodies just blow me away. 'Highway of Love'(Erik of Eclipse), 'Amy'(Harry Hess on vocals), 'Still in Your Heart'(Bob Harris of Edge Of Forever) and 'Strong Enough'(Robbie LaBlanc) are my favorite tracks. Highly Recommended. 9.3/10

From: Aorforever Date: May 24, 2010 at 8:29

Great, bombastic AOR effort without any weak point. Robin Beck's song is a standout.

I don't know how this one slipped by me! After reading the comments here and listening to some of the tracks! I just had to have it! Just ordered a copy from NEH!!

Great stuff?Boring without end!Thatīs nothing for real hardrock freaks because itīs not hardrock itīs only AOR not more!!First song is great all rest is REST IN PEACE and good to sleep!!

From: RED Date: January 26, 2011 at 10:47
This is more melodic rock than AOR but very good ! Not quite album of the year - that IMO goes to Houston - but certainly top 10. For some strange reason I found some of the song arrangements reminded me of Meat Loaf/Steinman in places. Anyway, a very promising debut.

From: MetalllianStallion Date: April 21, 2011 at 11:33
Andi, do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? Boring? Nobody likes the hard stuff more than me,but give credit where it's due with this outstanding release. Like masmusic mentioned, this release flew under my rock radar when it was originally released 5/14/2010, until I got it last Christmas. Lighting strikes twice with Michael Voss at the helm of the mix and mastering,as he did with Voices of Rock - MMVII (2007), giving both releases that monster sound. This album for me edges out 'MMVII' as the best compilation in the last 5 years, maybe more. The `Shining line' concept was developed by Italians Pierpaolo Monti on drums and Amos Monti on bass. This album has a laundry list of who's who in melodic rock with 30 musicians including 17 different singers. Only minor complaint is Robin Beck talking her was through 'Heat of the Light'. Michael Bormann's 'Under Silent Walls Part II - Alone' is what could have been on 'Different'. A must have in your CD treasure trove.

Thank you again guys!!!

From: mikey2k Date: April 29, 2011 at 4:11
I really love this album. I originally bought it because of Robin Beck's contribution on the album and I was blown away by the entire album!!! I was like WHOA! I find that albums of the AOR/melodic rock genre are either fly or fail, and this one did fly...it soared. I discovered some other artists for the first time on this album and I purchased Phenomena's Blind Faith album because of this album!!!

Thanks Mikey!!! To all the Shining Line fans: please write to me at my e-mail address veron_zorro11@yahoo.it and I'll reply with a nice present for you!

True surprise for me! Fantastic AOR/MR album with big hooks, huge songwritings and astonishing performances by guests involved! Hope to see soon a second album!

From: rocksoul Date: June 12, 2012 at 14:42
Awesome album!!!! There is not other words. Best track by Robin Beck, emotional voice and perfomance. All tracks are catchy and full of great chorus. Great production. Well done. Music has not borders. Buy it!

I was so incredibly late on discovering this gem, (geoff your getting docked for not mentioning this to me)but anyway, this was like an orgasm in my ears, it was absolutely superb, honestly, I had to hit the back button at the end of every song, just to hear it again, so I listened to this album twice in one listen, I just cant say enough about the shear perfection that is this album, it just goes to show you, if you have the AOR\ROCK naturally in your heart, you can do a perfect album, perhaps the most enticing thing about this album and what makes it stand far beyond other albums of the same genre is honesty, this is the most honest and sincere album I perhaps have ever heard, it is not faked, it is not over thought, it is what it is, and that is perfection, if you cant tell I love it.

From: Leykis101 Date: March 18, 2013 at 0:34
UPDATE! this is officially in my top 10 albums in HISTORY!! category, I have accepted this into my albums to be stoned to, albums to play for my little 10 year old daughter, albums to jam while im hanging out with friends, albums to fuck to, albums to make love to, albums to play for other people, theres just not anything you cant do while listening to this, thank you to the 2 Italian gentleman who gave us this perfect album, I hope you were reimbursed for what you have given to us AOR fans, I for one will never be able to pay you back for the happiness this album has given to me, you cant put a price on this kind of cd, I can only say thank you.

From: 123charpenay Date: March 7, 2014 at 10:15
a little add to my first comment.yes track 7 is a filler .i can add track 12 (a good song but ruined by the french singer)an habit for me cause in my life, i ve never heard in rock music a real good french singer.we are better to drink wine and give lessons to others.i can add so, track 3 wich sound too italian (like los angeles) and of course the three !!! instrumentals (track 4.13 and 15) wich are very soft ,very long and of course very boring.the rest ( 9 songs) is top class a o r.on track 5 we have the occasion to discover the real voice of sue willets.she s a very great singer (in dante fox she howl like a hyena in the desert, her too high pitched voice is a nightmare).on track 8 robin beck sing like a goddess,on track 14 michael bormann sing like a god.i recommand this cd.the very very rare japan import have no bonus track.give a chance to this excellent italian project.

From: hair metal again Date: May 9, 2014 at 9:19
pretty good release by SHINING LINE ,a project from Italy that pays some well known singers to sing these songs!the music, the songs are ok but this is a studio-only product and lacks the feeling of a band which is a milestone in rock music!many great artists participate and the songs are truly fine ,so this is a nice addition in your collection !

From: Pee Dee Date: January 30, 2022 at 13:23
Stellar album with an all-star cast, killer hooks, and no repetitions. For me, 'Highway of Love' is a contender for the greatest AOR track ever made.
