If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular The Donnas CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from The Donnas are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Punky hard rock with nods to '80's metal. The hip music press were big on this band, emphasizing the punk and portraying the Crue and Priest covers as a joke, because surely groovy chicks like these couldn't actually LIKE old metal, could they? Conversely, lots of metalheads gave these ladies a pass because they were too punk, with or without actually listening to the songs. They were a pretty fun band, really, but definitely marketed more to an indie crowd. Any fan of the more ragged-sounding Sunset Strip bands like Junkyard, and early Faster Pussycat or L.A. Guns, should find plenty to enjoy in their catalog, though. When I was doing radio in college, our campus station had a prepared loop of music for when someone didn't show up for their shift and nobody was available to cover, and "40 Boys In 40 Nights" was one of the songs on it.
