NEXT TRAIN BACK....I VOTE AS THE BEST ON THIS RELEASE. AOR AT IT'S BEST. AWESOME SONGS,TOP NOTCH PLAYING. A SWEDISH AOR CLASS ACT. THEY SOUND LIKE A SOFTER EUROPE BUT STILL ROCK.

From: AOR-MESSIAH Date: April 12, 2002 at 20:57
Great CD. Catchy songs, good melodies, great production.

From: M. Allen Date: April 25, 2002 at 2:39
You want to hear melodic hard rock perfection? Just listen to 'You Say You Never Cry.' That is a flawless song, from its melodic guitars to its big, catchy hooks to its over-the-top chorus and layered backing vocals. And while that may be the standout track, nearly all the other tunes are great as well, making this one melodic hard rock import that will definitely amaze fans of this genre.

Fabulous melodic AOR! The bonus tracks are killer!

From: doomy Date: October 10, 2003 at 6:25

From: Geoff Date: May 25, 2004 at 3:20
Tracks 2, 3 and 4 are amazing, there are more amazing tracks on the album and this band did literally 'Amaze me' when I first heard them. An unbelievable ear for melody and massive hooks - sensational album and with real drums just might have been a 10/10 in my books - damn close anyway!

From: Kip Date: August 31, 2004 at 1:35
Awesome Melodic Hard Rock! Extremely underrated band. These guys have an ear for melody, and are very versitle. In my opinion the hits here are spread throughout, giving the listener a consistant listent without much down time. Highlights include You Say You Never Cry, Help Me Through The Night, Next Train Back, Your My Lover My Friend, and Tell Me Why. The only track that feels out of place is the opener. It's cockyness and swagger aren't felt anywhere else, but it is a good track. 9/10

First..when I listened to the first song I checked my headphone! But it wasnt my headphone but the terrible production from this cd.Dont compare Europe with this band..Europe Rocks!Very weak album.!!!Forget this one!

From: roucketas Date: June 17, 2005 at 12:35
i believe this must have been THE RELEASE OF 1995!!!i can't believe how much 80's it sounds!!!in a time when Bon Jovi were slowing down, and Def Leppard were turning into Alternative,Amaze Me sounded like the best of them both, just like the good old days!!!and believe me this Swedish band does NOT sound like Europe!!they're more into the American sound mentioned above!POP METAL HEROES OF THE 90'S,should have been...

From: headbanger4life Date: June 1, 2006 at 5:28
Fantastic album. If this had come out in 80's, they would have been huge. I don't really hear the references to Europe. Musically, I hear a little bit of Foreigner and The Sweet in there. I think the whole album is a pretty solid release.

From: Helix Date: October 28, 2006 at 11:33
Wow, what can I say Conny Lind has an amazing voice and if Peter Broman does all the instruments what more could ask from a two member band.

From: jan_vexel Date: December 29, 2006 at 19:36
this rated lower than the other 2 ??that`s scandi aor at its best.top choice to listen.1997 cant be fair

From: z4roxx Date: January 2, 2007 at 13:32
Finest thing here is the production indeed!the best production since a long time, the greatest kitchen’s sounds of the history!!!ahahah! This could be a great melodick hard rock release with a decent sound,Don t know how is possible to make a cd with this production,Boh??Another strange thing it’s the thrashy guitars’sounds.9/10 for music,2/10 for the sounds.

From: Swazi Date: March 1, 2007 at 12:44
I can only say that I think this is a brilliant release !! Awesome melodies and no fillers as far as I am concerned. And Conny Lind's voice is phantastic ! My copy has been released in 1998 by Z Records and there is nothing to complain about the production, imo. An essential AOR release, I'd say !!

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: October 22, 2007 at 12:56

From: happy2849 Date: December 9, 2010 at 12:38
Great name for a band "Amaze Me". They did. After hearing this I had to get their others.

From: darobinson Date: March 9, 2011 at 19:48
Once you get past the truly horrible opening track this turns out to be a nice set of AOR tunes. Enjoy....

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 17, 2011 at 19:06
Enjoyable debut...bought it after buying their second one "Dream On" a time ago...honestly i'd go for their second one instead of...in here you have enjoyable tracks such as "You Say You Never Cry","Help Me Through The Night"(nice catchy),"Your Lover Your Friend"(nice softy),"It Seems So Hollywood","I Dream Long Distance"(nice softy)& "Tell Me Why"(nice softy)but so many "softies" put the album way too mellow(but as i said,enjoyable)...86/100

From: Luciano86 Date: December 25, 2011 at 23:10

From: 123charpenay Date: March 2, 2013 at 12:13

From: AOR1 Date: December 7, 2022 at 20:54
Had the chance to see so many of this scandi bands live; here in germany or in the UK. But never saw Amaze Me, one thing I regret so much. What a great band this was. You Say You Never Cry; Next Train Back - it doesn´t get much better if you´re an aor/melodic rock lover. Essential for all collections. 90/100

From: 707STAR Date: January 10, 2023 at 23:45
