| R.I.P. Myles Goodwyn (June 23, 1948 – December 3, 2023). I was a fan of some the band's 80's material and got a chance to see them live in the mid 90's. I would consider "The Nature of the Beast (1981) to be the band's best release. The track 'Sign of the Gypsy Queen" never gets old. I recently saw a comprehensive documentary on April Wine and Goodwyn's life. It pointed out that the album 'The Whole World's Goin' Crazy'(1976) made April Wine the first Canadian band to achieve Platinum advance sales status on a indie label. Over the band’s 50-plus-year career, April Wine has sold 10+ million records in Canada U.S. and the U.K., and released 22 studio and live albums.
