Karl-Axel Bengtsson had a few hits in Sweden when he was in his early 20's under the stage name of KARL KANGA. He looked & sounded like a Swedish version of BILLY IDOL & also sounded like a mix of IGGY POP & ANDY TAYLOR. He released 2 LPs in 1987 & 89' (the debut was titled, "Hips For Sale")as well as a handful of Singles. He then disappeared from the scene for awhile until he resurfaced as the vocalist for the Bluesy Rock act THE HARDLINERS. he would release 2 full lengths with them (although the 2nd release wasn't available until after he left the group). It's unlcear what he's doing at this time, & this was a rare album along the lines of Melodic-Poppy Rock as opposed to the AOR tag it's also been receiving on the web (unless you consider BILLY IDOL or IGGY POP as AOR). It's average stuff at best & worthy of playing time during a long trip with your girlfriend or something.

Great album!!!...is like listening to a heavier version of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty with that kind of hoarse way of singing,Karl does it quite well and for instance i love this type of music!!!...about the songs, the whole album is pretty good but for example songs such as the AORish bonus track "Ride Tough" the best cut of the album IMO along with "Fun City","Rock The House"( rocking one),"Lips Don't Lie" and so on surely are gonna draw a smile in your face like it did to me...recommended...90/100
