If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular 38 Special CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from 38 Special are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

My favorite band always. Great songs with great sing along style plus they have a real southern rock side. after you hear a whole album and get past the "hits" they have the honky tonk boogie songs as well. This Greatest Hits is a good place to start for the best of both sides of the band.

Great hits package. Fun and poignant numbers.

"Hold On Loosely" and "Back to Paradise" are my favorites on this compilation. The other songs are cool too, but the ones I mentioned are my favorites.

While this is the ideal place for a new fan to start, this is also essential for their longtime fans. There are several live and soundtrack songs on this that weren't previously on any other 38 Special album. Realy good selection of their hits as well as some fan favorites.

The Best Southern Rock Band EVER!The Live Hits keep this Album er Disc Smokin!"Caught up in You" and "Hold on Loosly" are Sizzlin ! Rocking into the Night caps off this legendary performance! This one Ya gotta Have!A Sheer Classic!

A southern rock answer to Night Ranger, you can own all the .38 Special CDs and still need this one... it has the excellent previously unreleased "Back To Paradise" plus the hard to find "Teacher Teacher". And then there's every major hit on here too. Personally, I would have added "You Keep Runnin Away" and "Somebody Like You" but this CD adequately marks the band's 10 year recording anniversary.

Not too big of a fan of southern tinged AOR, but .38 Special do deliver the goods on this best of album. Favorite tracks are Back To Paradise, Caught Up In You, and If I'd Been The One. 7/10

About what you would expect from these Southern Rockers. A good "Cliff's Notes" to their catalog. Pretty much sums it up.

A very good compilation, especially for .38 Completists, as this features a couple of hard to find tracks as Koogles mentions, plus the added extra of 4 previously unavaliable live tracks to round things off. For the best .38 compilation go for the excellent double 'Anthology' which pretty much covers most things.

Hold On Loosely, Caught Up In you, and the rest are great. A good southern rockin cd. I saw the guy in concert who wrote those 2 songs-was pretty cool.

Great release from back in the day before the contemporary digital age. All these songs rightfully belong here, which is really unheard of from a greatest hits release. Went to a 38 show a few years back & they played most of these tunes. Good time music for sure.

A decent compilation but not that exciting(i think that the selection of songs was not the correct one as they left better ones out)..."Like No Other Night" is a killer Southern AOR song by all means and by far the best in here(and one of my all time faves of the act)...tracks 2,4,9,11 & 14 are another fine pieces of music...and from the live EP(i own this Record on vinyl)i take tracks 10 & 13...85/100
