When it's a late night and I'm in the mood for some wind-down light weight stuff, this guy does the trick. Saylor has been releasing an album like clockwork every year the last half decade. The last couple albums sound a little rushed IMO but there are always at least a couple good tracks nonetheless. The gem on this album is the duet "We Wont Sacrifice" with Phil Bates (former Atlantic lead singer) as they play off each others vocals nicely. Reminds me of a former match made in heaven, Stan Meissner and Peter Fredette in Metropolis. Maybe the duet will give them the inspiration to team forces in a Saylor/Bates future project. David has a pop/West Coast AOR voice so I don't think he was a match in the group Wild Rose which he has now bowed out of. His solo work id definitely in his range sweet spot.
