If you like guitar driven rock, this is your album. A must for every rock fan, full of big choruses, hooks, and melodies of course. It´s nice to have pure rock and roll like this in this days. A breath of fresh air in music today.

Doug Aldrich of Hurricane and then Bad Moon Rising formed Burning Rain as a vehicle to return to his classic rock roots and that he did. The debut album was a surprisingly strong dose of blues drenched classic rock, with some great vocals from Keith St. John.

From: Chris Date: June 11, 2003 at 23:55
The band was formed out of the demise of Bad Mood Rising and returns to the traditional sounds of typical US/UK style hard rock, rather than the alternative friendly grunge overload of the last BMR album.Even after the first listen this CD is doing more for me than expected. And it only gets better. Vocalist St. John is a mix of Coverdale, Plant, Ray Gillen and maybe some Paul Rodgers. The production is sharp and snappy and the songs are very good.

Doug Aldrich just smokes. I think this and the debut are the best music purchases I've made in quite some time. I hear that classic rock influence, but it's done with an 80's metal twist. Doug's guitar sound is pure 80's, almost like Lynch, but he's a more accurate and consistent player. I'm listening to this right now for about the 50th time this month...can't seem to take it out of my CD player.

This album has it all, great songwriting, massive guitars and all- over strong musicanship! A jewel, that should be in every Melodic Hardrocker's collection!

"Faithfully Yours"......WOW!!!!! WHAT a song!!! "Sex Machine" is very cool too.

From: Propane Date: November 30, 2004 at 9:49
There's no stopping this guy from smoking. Doug Aldrich showed up when we needed a true guitar virtuoso.

From: Dave Date: December 30, 2004 at 22:35
Much better than the first album."Faithfully Yours" is the best song they have done and add to that ,Love Emotion , Love De Jour [which sounds like The Cult , even the vocals} and Judgement Day and you have a much more consistent album than the first one.Great stuff !!!

From: Geoff Date: March 16, 2005 at 5:20
Again, my pick is the 2 ballads. Great ones again, and overall it's another good hard rocking slab of disc. If you love the debut you'll love this. Highly recommended for fans of straight ahead hard rock n'roll.

If ST is good, this one is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! You just can´t die without listening to it!!!! You´ll not be able to stop playing it over and over. One of the best CDs I have heard ever.

Some of the best hard rock you will ever hear. Pick up both of their releases to complete your collection!!

From: so-many-tears Date: December 27, 2006 at 16:54
Burning Rain is serious and fun to listen to. Aldrich shreds the guitar like a maniac but the songs are so memorable that you can spin and spin and won't get drousy. A must in any hard rock fan collection.

From: metalmastermusic Date: May 16, 2007 at 23:39
Another axe master dream disc !! This is a must have for any guitarist, George Lynch type axework fans. Not quite as good as the debut but a killer album no the less. You won't find better riffs than this, the only drwaback may be the high vocals. A must have for any metalhead. 9/10

fantastic release by BURNING RAIN and i totally agree with Blue Charvel on this one:it is difficult to get it out of my cd player!the band delivers classic commercial hard rock ,totally based in the 80 s metal but with a more rockin flavour!Doug & Keith shine in this one and easily it could compete releases of the golden era of the genre!all the songs are excellent and they grow every spin you take!essential and one of the best of this millenium
