If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Marcus CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Marcus are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I am in awe of this album. Combining many exiting elements of Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, maybe a smitten of Bad Company and a dash of Deep Purple, Marcus Malone and his gang hit the jackpot on this cult classic. 1976 was a great year for hardrock (Scorpions, Rush, Thin Lizzy, Boston, Heart, Aerosmith, Blue Öyster Cult, Kansas, Styx, Kiss, Queen, Status Quo, Judas Priest) but this one definately ranks way up there for me. Quoting a little bit of Yes' Roundabout even in the smoldering Rise unto falcon. They may boogie their way into a song, but then it grows and develops and folds, often with three guitars, jamming like possessed, with great joy. My favorites are Gyspy Fever (reminds me in part of the song August by the brilliant band Love) and Pillow Stars. Why this didn't become a smach hit, I don't understand. The band fell apart and the record fell into obscurity, although it became a collector's item for rockers in Europe. I understand from articles about Mother's Finest and Chic that

Where I said Gispy I meant Gipsy. Where I said smach, I meant smash. Stop the clock.

I understand from articles about Mother's Finest and Chic that you had black radio and white radio and if you were black you weren't played on white radio and if you played hardrock you weren't played on black radio. It's a suckers loss though if you missed out on this - thanks to Rock Candy, Marcus debut has been available on cd again. 99 points from me.
