If you notice that a particular Petra CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Petra are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Petra means rock, and Petra began to rock a little better on this release, and in doing so struck a chord with Christians, especially Christian teenagers, who were getting acclimated to the idea of Christian rock music and deciding they really liked it. Of course, what was called "rock" back then is really "AOR" by today's standards, but who's quibbling? There are some truly memorable tracks on this album (though to be fair, I may be hearing them through the wistful ears of nostalgia), such as "Grave Robber" (to this day, one of my favorite CCM songs), "Pied Piper," and the hauntingly moody title track. Granted, for anyone that did not grow up with this album, it may not seem exactly out of this world, but it's still pretty good stuff for classic Christian rock fans.
