.........Ok this is a damn hard rockin' release. Its almost trash metal. I like it, but fans of the era when No Fuel...... might not.

From: Scandinavia Date: June 28, 2003 at 16:28
Well, this was where it all went wrong. Here they seem to cut all the strings to their past and suddenly begin playing Punk/Thrash...Actually this album has it's moments! "Are we Alive..." (Obviously not!) has a cool sing-a-long chorus to it & "Reconstrucdead" has one of the meanest introes...Works really fine for them live. But if you're a fan of their 80s releases this is probably a bit too hard to swallow...

From: Motley Date: August 11, 2003 at 12:36
From here and after DAD went BAD....believe me. Dont listen to the following releases if you are into the cowpunk. so bloody boring and meaningless!

From: RR-Finland Date: September 4, 2003 at 6:47
I Agree with guys above! When this was out, I didnīt like it, but after several listening I started like it a bit. I never bought cdīs after this one, īcause I never heard a good tune from the radio or MTV. This is worth of buying, but if you dig D:A like I do, is better choice that you buy for yourself their "The Early Years" album, what incl. their 2 very first albums. Tracks like Riding With Sue, Jonnie, Isnīt That Wild, Mighty Mighty High, Godīs Favourite etc. r really worth of your mony!

...shit, those smiles are dangerous!!!!!!

i always loved d.a.d. and i knew they were changing directions on this one and i was expecting the worse..but honestly, i really loved this cd, sure, the style has changed but they still wrote some excellent tunes like 'flat', 'written in water' and 'candid'. I recommend this cd to anybody who's into rock with a modern touch (modern anno 1995 that is.)

From: Metal Pete Date: January 2, 2004 at 12:11
A very heavy record for D.A.D. The playing is much faster, the subject material is darker/heavier, and the delivery is angry. Its' a great record, but maybe hard for some early fans to swallow. I like it, and obviously it has become highly sought after, judging by its ebay value compared to the others. Standout tracks here include: Reconstructdead,Written in Water, Candid, Helyourselfish..

From: Kenneth Date: February 26, 2004 at 6:45
Okay, this is a fucking great album! D:A at their very best I must say! Sure, it's different from No Fuel and Riskin', but it kicks fucking arse! Reconstrucdead is one of the best songs this band has ever made, and listen to the track entitled it'swhenit'swrongit'sright. Damn, you can do some fine headbanging on that one! I like No Fuel and Riskin' too, just in case you wonder, but this one takes the whole cake!

From: Kryiis Karl Date: November 6, 2004 at 3:03
A little less identity on this release. Good classical heavy rock Cd. Still a good album but as efficient as the 2 first. As for thrash here I don't get the point. Why not death metal ??? This is nothing thrash metal dudes.

From: Geoff Date: March 1, 2005 at 6:26
For me this is by far the best DAD album. Very good hard rock with the most consistency and best song writing they were able to produce. 'Reconstrucdead' is a great heavy opener and intro to the new sound, 'Candid' is their best song - a killer hard rocker, and 'Naked (But Still Stripping)' is hilarious, and f*cking excellent. Some awesome songs and a good heavy rock album... with true DAD lyrics, odd as always.

From: AOR freaky Date: March 2, 2005 at 7:24
With all respect : these guys NEVER made a decent record at all ! Nuff said !

From: z4roxx Date: March 3, 2005 at 9:38
ahahaha I think the same thing as AOR Freaky!Another band that make me sleep after one minute, yes, they don't play soft music but avoidable hard rock, one of the worst,IMO.

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 22, 2005 at 20:55
D.A.D's heaviest release. Overall, this is quite a good album, although it won't appeal to all of their earlier glam rock fans. Some really heavy songs on here like It's When It's Wrong It's Right, Written In Water, Blood In/Out and the awesome Soulbender! Ending with the ok ballad Flat, this album surprised me with it's heaviness, but with hard rock on it's knees at the time, the change of direction had to happen. Unfortunately lost a few fans with this one, but it is a good solid album! 8/10..

From: Big Mike Date: April 10, 2005 at 20:00
Agree, this is not hair metal. It is a change in direction for D-A-D. Not especially melodic, definitely heavier. It works on written in water and unowned is a good track but this album is essentially a big departure or a "sellout". Depends on what you like of course.

From: Bobby De Date: June 9, 2005 at 3:43
Hey now its Big Bobby De again, took ten years to log in again, god...But thank god i did, want to save anyone from making a big mistake and coming withing smelling distance of this nonesense. WoW!, everyone who is a little wiser knows that 95 was a wild year in music, well if you can call it that! Um, This is such a nightmare i to chop of my ears and wash them for two days in BLEACH!

From: dean Date: September 5, 2005 at 3:21
Sorry BBD, I'll take this one anyday over the first couple of DAD discs-I'm actually starting to like this one quite a bit. While it's heavier I def. do not see how people are calling this thrash.

From: 7Sinner Date: April 27, 2006 at 19:02
Someone called this thrash!!! Obviously they have never heard real thrash before. Anyway this is my favorite release by these guys, some of the best hard rock you can find anywhere. Too bad they toned it down for the following releases...

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 9, 2011 at 22:46
album...faves o' mine are "Reconstrucdead","Helpyourselfish","Soulbender" & "Its When Its Wrong Its Right"...70/100

From: Mace Date: May 2, 2013 at 23:40
I was kinda wondering why Iron Maiden or 1990's period Metallica weren't on this site. Seeing DAD labelled thrash told me why lol!

From: dany69 Date: December 13, 2016 at 20:53

From: Z4roxx Date: December 17, 2016 at 13:31
After over 10 years z4roxx is back!I am breathin,I am Alive.girapolli/puntoacaso/comproporcherie or ingrassa-sellers told me a donkie from U.R.S.S. or Jugoslavia did insult me about this gay-band.I confirm old opinion and can say to him that the right phrase in engliah is:"this album rocks" because it's a third person!I'll post another comment and I'll return in the shadows for other ten years.Greetings to my old friends Erik and Rafo!

From: MetalllianStallion Date: February 22, 2017 at 1:07
@Z4roxx - Report to CC on the boards in the George Michael/WHAM memorial thread. To be able to remain posting comments on this site you will need to justify your quote posted below before the HH LGBT commission aka THE GAY MAFIA. " Jugoslavia did insult me about this gay-band"

From: Z4roxx Date: March 1, 2017 at 13:07
I don't ask sorry to anyone. It was cleary a reply to a big idiot who did insult me,any referring to people from U.R.S.S. or Yugoslavia or gays in general.Mafia????I do only know the band from U.R.S.S. with this nome. You associate all italians to Mafia? Please try to comments discs, the site lacks of many bands and most are awful or forgettable as D.A.D. etc
