Atello play a brand of in your face heavy hard rock or even melodic American heavy metal. This is so loud, so in your face - the whole album sounds like it was recorded on 11 - and I like that! The band can still slow things down a little - there are a couple of softer tunes here, more like the style of ballad that Metallica have come to be known for. All in all, good music, good sound and good fun. For those that love American hard rock.

I cannot find any fault with this CD. It's superbly done and the performances are first rate. Atello are pro's and there is nothing crude about their sound or production. Their understanding of what makes successful hard rock is second to none. It's sad that their style of rock has been out of favor with the mainstream for so long. If any band was poised to make a breakthrough then it would be Atello. Anyone who loves music of this sort would be foolish to ignore this.

I've got bad news Atello fans. They've disbanded. Larry hasn't wasted any time. He's formed a new band called Licketty Splitt.

Got to admit as a big fan of the debut I was pretty damn disappointed with this. It's not a bad hard rocking disc, but they just fell into a pretty average groove here. They showed a lot of originality and spark on the debut... couldn't really find it here. Good hard rock, just not great.
