Won't Walk Away: Wow!!!!!!

From: Date: August 17, 2002 at 17:32
one of the fews perfect albums of history.this is a very acoustic album.perfect production, musicians, arrangements, songs.acoustic melodichair rock with a touch of country.japanese edition has 2 bonus tracks:after the rain´95(an acoustic version of their classic) and nothing´s good enough for you( a countryst demo)

The cover and title suggest the teenybopper idols are adept at licking themselves in a rather delicate area, which would be a far greater revelation than they've ever displayed musically... In short, if their last name was Lipschitz, or anything but Nelson, they never would've been allowed within 100 miles of a recording studio... On any given day, OZZIE Nelson could've made more believable rock and roll than these guys...

I think these brothers harmonize better than any pair I've ever heard. A lot more laid back than the debut, but the songs are so strong, it doesn't really bother me. You can't lose with 'Won't Walk Away'

From: Gar Date: August 28, 2003 at 16:48
The songs on this have a little more substance than the ones on their debut. The fact that it took 5 years for them to follow up AFTER THE RAIN definitely killed their momentum, but this is a strong album nonetheless. Their image was thankfully toned down on this, as they tried to let the music come before their teenybopper looks. Good cd overall.

The problem of time between cd's wasn't the Brothers fault. They had the cd Imaginator ready to go in 1993 and it got shelved. It would have been a good follow up the the debut but instead we got this weak album with only a couple of strong songs on it. Maybe it isn't weak, maybe it is just too light even for a Nelson album.

'Won't Walk Away' is SO awesome! 'Cross My Broken Heart'... I love that song! Actually, I love this CD... ALL OF IT! The Japanese import version also has 'Nothing's Good Enough For You'. What a FUN song! Buy this one for sure!

A great Cd.More Pop then Rock with Lush vocals.

From: Big Mike Date: April 7, 2004 at 16:28
Definitely has a different feel to it. More of a ballad album but is far better than 'Brother Harmony'. That album was a shocker. This one only really has the one rocker(won't walk away) Why do dogs lick themselves? Because they can.

Nelson never rode in on the name of Rick Nelson.the twins were living in a car for months, shop around their tapes, walked into the record company, played songs and got the gigs, contracts.they were very hungry for success and food.truly their music is unique, from the heart, life experiences,no phony stuff.all their songs are worth a real listening too.I'm proud to be their Friend and A Writer of Poems. We respect each other.Give them a real try, if anyone thinks they can do better,do it!!

From: gener8tr Date: September 2, 2004 at 18:49
Terrible, simply terrible. The debut was acceptable becuase it was our first look at their wonderful hair.

This is one of those CDs I don't go around telling people I love - more one of those ones I will admit to if someone asks me directly. 'All shook up' and 'Five o'clock plane' are great acoustic driven melodic rock songs, and 'Won't walk away' is a killer melodic rocker. I admit the rest doesn't thrill me and they're the only songs I play, but overall it's a decent to good AOR release.

From: TIM (2) Date: September 7, 2004 at 13:41
This one's acoustic country-inspired pop/rock, to keep up with the fact that they change their style with every album. It's really very good, and the songwriting is superb with the trademark harmonies still in place. 'Won't Walk Away' stands-out a mile as it's a full-blown AOR song with electric guitar, but it's probably the highlight. The tracks are a little samey, but this (along with 'After the Rain' and 'Life') is highly recommended. 8/10.

A more acoustic album from the Nelson brothers - in fact, almost every song is acoustic. If you go for the music instead of the 'heaviness', I'm sure you'll love this cd. Every song here is really good, with catchy choruses, from the powerful rocker Won't Walk Away to the 'queen-ish' Nobody Wins In The End. 9/10

From: edwithmj Date: August 18, 2008 at 18:27
Not as good as the first as it's MUCH softer but very easy listening and VERY easy to get into. Not one bad song on this but I would have liked it a bit heavier.

From: hair metal again Date: October 24, 2010 at 9:24
quite good release this one.different from their awesome debut in a more acoustic sound but a complicated one!it s not easy to have such a good result if you choose not to have much electricity!anyway great songs like "peace on earth", "wont walk away" and "right before your eyes".important band with much quality and great vocs!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 9, 2012 at 17:22
Exactly...this is different than the band's awesome debut,if you are objective quite a bit dissapointing(when comparing it with the debut of course) but it still delivers some good songs basically based on "nice songs" rather than straight forward AOR rocking tunes..."Wont Walk Away" is by far the major track of this release but some other moments are "You Got Me All Shook Up","Five O'Clock Plane","Peace On Earth","Only A Moment Away"(very nice song),"Right Before Your Eyes","Nobody Wins In The End" & the B/T of the japanese edition "After The Rain" which is a decent remake...enjoyable?,yes...86/100

From: edwithmj Date: May 22, 2015 at 18:08
Time to expand... Nelson went less heavy for this album but still retained a lot of the melodicness from the first album. The first song All Shook Up is very catchy and has a nice acoustic rhythm; Five O'Clock Plane is another winner in the same vein as the first song; Peace on Earth is a semi-ballad that works quite well; Won't Walk Away is about as close to the debut as we're going to get from this album and it's another decent tune with those harmonious Nelson vocals. My last favourite is Right Before Your Eyes which is a melodic gem. While there isn't a bad track on the album per se, with every song being listenable on its own merit, the album lacks the punch and power of the debut and the songs seem to flow into each other making them sound a tad samey. Still, if you like the Nelson brothers' vocals and a more laid back acoustic orientated album, you can't go wrong here.
